NJ - Tara Rogers Alicea, 30, found dead in suitcase, Egg Harbor, 31 July 2013

http://www.nj.com/south/index.ssf/2...found_in_suitcase_in_egg_harbor_township.html

Suspect in court yesterday apparently...

"According to the charges, outlined in court, Tara Rogers-Alicea was dead for at least a month when her remains were found by a hunter in January. An autopsy showed she died from asphyxiation by strangulation.

Stallworth, 27, is charged with killing the 30-year-old woman sometime between July 31 and Dec. 1 of 2013."

and

"The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office hasn't explained the connection between Rogers-Alicea and Stallworth, or the circumstances surrounding her murder."

For the record, I'm just a little befuddled about this whole thing....the FBI was called into the investigation. $2 million full cash bond set. Little to no information regarding the investigation, a motive, or a connection between the suspect and the victim.

Anyone scratching their head here?

That tells me that they may think this wasn't his first rodeo. Would make since to bring in the FBI if they think he's a serial offender. I'm damn curious to know how he was connected to this case; DNA, prints, or other.

I think this person has a boat docked in one of the casino's . he checked on it . He got a girl . Most of the time he gets them in the summer . This one is a bit different . I bet there are alike things .

If she was missing since Sept or Oct then I would expect him to dump body closer to other bodies. Still think this guy has a boat in AC would think this body was dumped sooner he checked on his boat and could not dump body in same area due to weather egg harbor , maybe he knows someone there and was passing thru from AC

Man admits to strangling mother of 3, stuffing her body in suitcase
A Pleasantville man was originally charged with murder in the 2013 strangulation death of a South Jersey mother of three whose remains were found stuffed in a suitcase.

Steven R. Stallworth, 31, ultimately pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated manslaughter and desecration of human remains in the death of Tara Rogers-Alicea, 30, of Monroeville, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Under a plea deal, he faces 28 years in prison with a requirement that he serve 85 percent of his term before he is eligible for parole.

His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 14.

this is odd..... was he bailed out? anyways they never gave any motive, but he seems to distribute heroin so I am wondering whether he was a date, or a connect, or both. RIP Tara.
Different Steven Stallworth. The Stallworth from the article you posted was murdered in a drug debt. The Stallworth who murdered Tara is in prison until at least 2038. He will be 51 years old if he's released on parole at that time.
