He probably went with his friends. Why is a fishing trip with buddies so strange? I believe in an interview he said one of his friends drove him back after he found out about the tragedy.

I am not convinced yet that the perp is fat. It looked to me as if they stuffed their clothing to appear fat. In the one side-ways view of the perp he/she doesn't look that large.

In the end of one of the videos released, where the perp is digging at something off camera, I caught a glimpse of their arm. The arm looks very slim which also made me change my mind about the perp being overweight.

I'm not convinced the perp knew there were cameras. Why arrive 30 minutes early (if this was a planned attack on MB) and walk around in view allowing others to analyze you gait and mannerisms. Does not make sense to me. MOO

Bumping off my own post but this video footage appears at the moment to be the biggest piece of evidence. Yes, he/she was in costume but I do feel this person had no clue footage was being recorded.

IMO, I don't have any doubt that BB was indeed on his planned bucket list fishing trip. If he WAS involved... Then he hired the perp for the hit. I'm waiting for more evidence and clues for motivation (?), like life insurance or failed poly before I put all my eggs in one basket.

as an Australian we tend to drive to the beach catch the fish and bring em home chuck em on barby and eat them that day. the whole Fishing Trip concept is odd to me which is why I've left it alone.

The 2nd person concept however is starting to grow traction especially if theres a fat person and a skinny person.

it could be the reason for the disguise. so they couldn't be recognized or told apart, on first sight.

But heres a Q - if BB travelled with a buddy why did he have to announce he'd provided his tickets? Surely he could just say, my buddy travelled with me and alibi that way? but afaik there has been no mention of a Travel buddy? even on his FB?

It seems to me that there are two primary theories of the case---

The first is that the perp on the video was there to burglarize or vandalize; that MB showed up at the wrong time; perp panicked, hit her over the head (like you see in the movies) as he was leaving; and got the heck out of Dodge.

The second is that MB was a target---that the perp was there specifically to kill her. This could be a hired hit with a professional killer; it could be a hired hit with a novice killer; it might not be a hired hit but the killer is the person who wants MB dead for some reason.

Now assuming those possibilities and leaning toward the targeted hit scenario, it strikes me as significant that the perp went to such lengths to get into the building and set up before MB arrived. That person was highly motivated. There was no turning back. There was no way for the person to back out and leave the building unnoticed if, say, MB had shown up with another person with her or something else had gone wrong.

I guess this seem significant to me because a professional killer would not want to be captured on video cameras, and would have an exit strategy so that s/he could "call the mission off" if something backfired.

Does that make sense?

Never mind that neither the disguise nor the excuse are particularly realistic; it would get him out of there before she had a chance to realize he was a fake.

ALL opinion though - but your Hired Hitman usually spends bare minimum to get the job done sometimes no more than the cost of a bullet if they are Really expert. Getting SWAT Outfits is a whole different level of crazy and unnecessary planning imho.

SBM, I would think LE would still want the tickets as proof to make sure the buddy isn't lying for him, however I certainly agree that this friend would have come forward. I have not seen any buddy mentioned in the FB post where he is waiting at the airport, nor in the dinner post. However, BB does state "we" rented a car. So did someone meet him there? A friend who no longer lives in TX?

I was thinking about BB calm demeanor. It's almost as if she had died of a heart attack or an illness. When I think of how it happened, and surely he has been told what weapon(s) were used, I would expect a lot of anger from a man who had his loving wife horribly taken away from him like this! However, perhaps this is just who he is and he doesn't think twice about it because anything else coming from him would be phony. JMO. Same with RB. He thought nothing of taking the bloody shirt and blouse to the cleaners because he is an open book with nothing to hide.MOO

I just don't know! I can make logical sense of it but my intuition tells me with BB, at least, there's just more to it. MOO

If you went on this trip with him- would you want your name and personal details shared with the world? Why bring other innocent people into the mix? I'm the first to suspect the significant other but it's not adding up for me thus far. This man seems to have been successful and I highly doubt it's motivated by life insurance policies.
I think it's motivated by jealousy of MB- who that is, I cannot wait to find out.

Is it possible LE has asked the friend not to talk to the press? I know they can't prohibit anyone from speaking publicly, but they could make the request.

The friend would be mad if hubby did this. This was a non-refundable trip and it was planned in advance.

I'm with you on that point. I'm also not convinced he knew there were cameras. IMO, he might well have thought he had total privacy inside the church there. Maybe he just plain didn't realize a church would have security cameras. He looks to me like someone who is just killing time while waiting for his victim.

If we didn't have the video, this would have looked a lot more like an interrupted burglary, with the broken doors and broken windows, and we would have no idea the perp had wandered around for a half hour not stealing anything while waiting for MB to arrive.
