Identified! KS - Salina, 'Miss Molly' 184UFKS, 25-30, in creek under I-70 bridge, Jan'86 - Robin Ann Green

Maybe it's just me, but I feel that someone who is 5'5", weighs 125 lbs and wears a size 32B bra is probably not as heavy-looking in the face as the recons I've seen for her. I believe her PM pic has lots of swelling to the face, and her chin/neck may look flabby due to the angle of the photo. I also think she looks way older in the recons than the highest age estimate of 35. I'm 37 and don't look anywhere near as old as she looks in those recons. So just MOO, but i think all recons are a little off in this case.

She does have a definite double-chin. That isn't just postmortem sagging.

With Miss Moly being in water for two days-it can add more swelling to face, etc and affect features. ..especially given fact she was facedown in water when found. We're looking for a missing Mother as well-or who gave full-term birth, wore expenseive clothes, and extensive dental work done. I-70 where she was found goes from Maryland to Utah. It was Jan. when she was found-yet he was found with no coat or purse-perhaps taken as it would/could identify her. No wedding ring found.
Gut feeling she came from Maryland/NYC area-where those brands of clothes are found in the better shops/stores-i've tracked those brands to Nordstrom/Macy's even.
Many single women/mothers known to earn money on side, as working for high class escort agencies-never know.!

I thought this blurb was interesting from the Saline County Sheriff's office page: http://www.salinesheriff.org/UnidentifiedPerson.aspx.
The closest match is a woman who turned up missing from Belgium in the early 1980’s. "Very close likeness. In fact, I’ll put it as the hair on the back of my neck stood up," said Smith. Especially when Smith learned the Belgian woman had given birth just before she went missing. Her foreign homeland was intriguing since the Saline County body was draped in European clothing. The lead, however, fizzled when someone in Belgium said they heard from the missing woman, alive in Canada.

Denning is not so sure. "I don’t accept that someone missing for 10 years would contact an acquaintance and not a family member," said Denning.
I only skimmed this entire thread to see if anyone from Belgium was mentioned so sorry if this was brought up before. I wonder if that person's case is closed since an acquaintance claims they heard from her in Canada.

A simple DNA sample from family in Belgium could help the investigation but maybe the Europeans aren't so keen on giving samples.

I hope this is the year we find her identity and her killer.

I accidentally stumbled upon the post-mortem picture when Google-searching for another UID and thought she looked heavier and older than the description. Although I do think the recons are pretty close. I also agree it seems there was a lot of swelling to the face--because she was beaten of course. She just looks heavier than the listed weight. I am taller, heavier and more busty than she was, and I don't have a particularly thin face, but my face isn't as heavy looking--just a thought.
I think this might also be the type of case like Gray County Jane Doe, who was listed as 25-30 but a lot of people think she looks older.

Godfrey and the UID both have DNA profiles available, so it might have been a default ruleout. Might be worth needling them about though (Godfrey isn't ruled out on the IdentifyUs page).

From some fast reading online, I'm gathering that Paula was supposed to go to San Antonio, but may have never made it. She apparently did make it as far as the Kansas City airport, but where did she go from there? That could hold a clue...

On a separate note, I can't find a record of Paula's eye color. The UID's were blue to blue-gray according to Namus.

Her nose is completely different.

This case drives me nuts because she looks like some one I know or have known but I can't put my finger on it.

BBM

The major airport in Kansas City is a short drive north of I-70, 2 1/2 to 3 hours east of our location...do we know if Paula boarded a plane???

Wondering if someone could find a photo, and possibly more info, for MP 23584, Delores Sumpter:

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/23584/

She went missing from Spirit Lake, IA, eight years before Miss Molly was found, and would have been 35 in 1986. The hair color is different but the height, weight, and eye color match or nearly match, and she had an appendix scar. She was also apparently known to dress nice and wear a lot of make up. Unfortunately I can't find an image of her, and no DNA, dental, or prints are available. Wondering if this could be a match.

She didn't. Robinson plead guilty to her murder in 2003.

http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2003/oct/17/serial_murderer_admits/

"Prosecutor Christopher Koster said information he received through plea negotiations convinced him the bodies of those two women [Godfrey and Clampitt] would never be found."

The information in Godfrey's Charlie Project entry doesn't seem to have been updated since 2002: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/godfrey_paula.html The Doenet entry is even more wildly out of date.

how about tammy lynn huston? not a whole lot of descriptive info, but all the basics match except the weight. tammy is listed as 160lbs and missing from florida nov 1984. she was taken from her home by her boyfriend , who weeks later ended up dead. perhaps she got the upper hand on him and went on the run?http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1934dffl.html
