We are on verdict watch in the case against Dellen Millard and Mark Smich

Juror deliberations commenced at 4:03 pm ET, Monday, June 13 2016. When a verdict is announced, the title of this thread will be updated to reflect that.

Please remember The Rules and the ZERO TOLERANCE policy.

Verdict Watch is a very tense waiting period and when a verdict is announced, emotions can be heightened, so please be aware of this and keep yourselves in check and post respectfully, with decorum, or take a break until you've calmed down.

We won't forget Tim.

Hearts and thoughts have been with Tim's loved ones on this very long journey,
and will continue to be with them at this very critical time, after the verdicts, and for years to come.

I have to admit that I have been curious to see what MS looks like now as opposed to when he was arrested. Many have said he doesn't look like the same person.
He really does look very different IMO. The biggest thing I think is his hair not being buzzed, but instead it is few inches long, and very dark and parted at side and kind of gelled or something therefore looks groomed and stays in place. His whole look obviously is more conservative now, long sleeved collared shirts buttoned up, generally he presents pretty well and looks tidy not rumpled. Plus the expression on his face is more mature, stoic and serious. Also, he is a lot smaller in person IMO then he looks in pictures. Shorter, and even His frame and shoulders are narrow, his slimmer fitting clothing must have a lot to do with that. He's kind of on the little side.

(IMO )
On the other hand, I still can't get over how different DM looks. Risking being jumped on, I must say a few years ago, when pictures first came out of DM I honestly thought he looked strikingly attractive in some of the photos. Physically only obviously, and this is before any evidence came out.

Between then and now he looks skinnier, much more 'haggard' with bags under his eyes. His hair is longer and 'mousy'.
But beyond that, even his mug shot reminds me of how people's faces change so drastically over time with certain drugs (particularly Chrystal meth for example, Faces of meth anyone?) it seems like his face had already been changing already before going into custody. IMO only

I hope the juror will feel better soon and be back to continue deliberations.

If the other jurors are to sit and just wait in the jury room without discussing the case, what the heck do they talk about or do??

Considering they can't have phones or any other form of communication device I would imagine they're reduced to playing "guard" supervised cards. I don't think they're even allowed to have a book with them. Tough job on a Jury like this. MOO

Or someone does a Code Blue in the building. :)

In actuality he will just be added to the rotation with the rest of the patients.

Then he will probably be at minimum 4 hours, based on my past experiences a this very hospital.

Hagerman knew Smich lived in Oakville and had been to his house to pick him up, when he was driving for Millard (Millard had lost license)

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 6m6 minutes ago
Hagerman had the tool box. Michalski a blue knapsack. claims he didn't open it. "i just wanted to get rid of it.' decided MS cld pick it up.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 6m6 minutes ago
"Mark would have been able to take it off our hands," Hagerman says of the bag and the toolbox. "We didn't want to be anywhere near." #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
Hagerman says he didn't talk to Mark Smich but thinks Michalski did bc he was on his phone. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 6m6 minutes ago
Went to Oakville because Mark lived in Oakville. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 6m6 minutes ago
Michalski testified that he packed the drugs in his own pack and put them in his car. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 6m6 minutes ago
Michalski had a blue back pack he got from Millard's home. He told Hagerman he never opened it. #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
Hagerman said they agreed to drop off in Oakville. the ultimate decision was that mark was going to pick it up. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 7m7 minutes ago
Michalski told Hagerman he was given a blue backpack, which he had never opened, according to Hagerman

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 6m6 minutes ago
"The ultimate decision was, that like, Mark would have picked it up."

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 6m6 minutes ago
"I just wanted it away from me", Hagerman said. #TimBosma #Bosma
Did MS call AM or did AM call MS?

They should have their own notebooks and could review without discussing them.

Otherwise nap and wait for lunch.

I think it's generally widely believe that DM was an attractive young man. Back in 2013 when I heard that a 27 year old (I think that was his age at the time) was arrested for Bosma's disappearance, and later a 24 yr old (Smich), I was surprised to see the pics of DM and MS. I was expecting to see someone more like MWJ. Yep, I judge books by their cover, even though I know better.

Court staff just advised me it appears court will resume at 1:30 pm. #timbosma #bosma #hamont

wish there was a body language expert who could give us some information about what the differences in their demeanor means.

They will just go back to what they've been doing for the past 4 months when they were spending hours in the jury room without being able to talk about the trial. I'd imagine some have formed a close bond and talk about their lives and family away from this trial.

Looks like they will also have some lunch and then be back to deliberate at 1:30pm.

MOO

Susan is answering some questions and this one caught my eye, multiple people have been asking this:

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5m5 minutes ago
Police were unaware of her involvement with wiping prints of the trailer until Christina Noudga testified.

@susanclairmont i want to know how Millards mother isnt being charged as an accessory or anything.

BBM
In regards to DM, if he was using steroids and cocaine, I find it totally believable he could lift TB alone. TB isn't said to be very big himself.
Whether or not he did is another question, but IIRC someone else noted in testimony, that back in 2013 his stature was completely different, he was more built.
One of the side effects of cocaine is major mood swings, and using it makes someone euphoric and full of energy. (which if the mood was celebratory could explain a lot)
Steroids also alter your mood, makes you irritable, increased aggression etc. - think "roid rage" MOO

@susanclairmont what the heck?! How disrespectful! & if she thinks DM and MS are innocent of all things, I think she's brainwashed...

She almost certainly has mental health issues.

@susanclairmont CRACKPOT !! I hope the cops arrested her ?!

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 18m18 minutes ago
No. The @HamiltonPolice officers were firm, but kind.

@susanclairmont Thought doors were locked when in session?

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 19m19 minutes ago
Doors were locked during the judge's charge and will be again for the verdict.

@susanclairmont When ALL the trials are over will the Noudga letters be released in full?

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 11m11 minutes ago
It will depend on the state of the publication ban by then.

The media will definitely fight to get all the sexually explicit stuff that was blacked out in print. ;)

Just saw the CSOs walking into court with a stack of pizzas. Guess the jury is having Italian for lunch. #Bosma #timbosma

She barged into the courtroom, said something about "innocent" then knelt in the corner saying prayers. As escorted out she said "that's all I have to say".
