Lots of nuanced stuff never heard or recall!

"CIA has not found any link between Orlando killer and Isis, says agency chief"
.

Was the killer truly acting under orders from the Islamic State, or just seeking publicity and the group’s approval for a personal act of hate?

Influencing distant attackers to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State and then carry out mass murder has become a core part of the group’s propaganda ..... In the group’s nomenclature, that pledge is a central part of the ISIS protocol.........This public oath is about the only requirement that the Islamic State imposes on followers ...........The smallest action you do in the heart of their land is dearer to us than the largest action by us,” he said, “and more effective and more damaging to them.”..............his professed embrace of the Islamic State and its call for disaffected Muslims to attack the West seem to have come suddenly, as if something snapped.

far-fetched and even contradictory — he claimed connections to Al Qaeda, the Sunni extremist group, and ties to its near opposite, the Shiite Hezbollah ....They can pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi before or during, and that catapults them from being a self-starter jihadist guy, or girl, to someone who can be lionized as a soldier of the Islamic State and regarded as a warrior.”

The family assimilated.....son, whose bedroom was chock-full with all things Disney, all things America: a Spider-Man helmet and bicycle, a Star Wars backpack, Star Wars drapes, a chair in the likeness of Tow Mater from “Cars,” and not one but three Mickey Mouses.

“Always shaken. Always agitated. Always mad.”

engage in “much talk about violence & sex,” according to a school assessment.

investigators concluded that Mr. Mateen knew the bomber only casually

Seddique Mateen, a refugee who became a naturalized American citizen, was a financial broker whose savvy investments allowed for a comfortable home appointed with tasteful furniture and expensive silk rugs.

Two friends say that the Mateen children feared any perceived link to Islamic extremism, and so began saying, simply, that they were Persian.

n May 2005, .....requested to go on a ride-along with a St. Lucie County deputy sheriff....now seems enveloped in an air of foreboding. ..... sheriff’s car crashed, and the teenager was taken to a hospital.

“He would hover over my car window and lean way in while breathing heavy on me with his teeth so clenched that you could see his jaw muscles sticking out.

The gunman never came into their bathroom, she said, and after about half an hour, Ms. Puyarena said she looked to a man next to her, and they decided to try to run. But as they got up to leave, she said, a police officer banged on the bathroom door. The officer rushed them out through a back exit.

Stanley Almodovar III, 23, was shot three times, staggered out of the club and fell to the ground. He was one of 49 people killed.

He saw flashlights from police officers who were trying to penetrate the club and rescue people. He escaped. It was less than an hour into the three-hour siege.

Some of the people around her thought they could seize the opportunity and rush him, but as they tried to open the stall door, he began shooting, hitting the three young women and many others.

said he had enough bombs to “light up a city block,”

gunman asked his hostages if they knew about the shooting last year in South Carolina in which a white man had killed nine African-Americans inside a prominent black church....

....women devised a signal to show one another they were still alive. They began patting one another on the arm, scratching a wrist, grasping a hand and waiting for an answered grip. For three hours, pat pat. Pat pat. A Morse code of silent touches.

CNN)When Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for emergency backup [video=cnn;us/2016/06/13/orlando-shootings-tic-toc-orig.cnn]http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/12/us/orlando-nightclub-shooting/index.html[/video] on the night of June 12, they encountered a harrowing scene:

The unrelenting clap of gunshots.
People drenched in blood lying in the parking lot.
A stream of gunshot victims fleeing the chaos inside the club.

deputies help paint a grim picture
"We were informed through dispatch an [Orlando police] officer was not responding to their radio after calling, '.... While the deputies were on scene they informed dispatch there were multiple victims in the immediate area who were seriously injured with gunshot wounds.

....approaching the club I heard multiple gunshots coming from inside the club. I observed individuals running out of the club covered in blood, with gunshot wounds, and many more in the parking lot, also with gunshot wounds."

Upon arrival, I observed numerous subjects running from the club in a panic. I observed several subjects lying on the ground near the club that appeared to have been injured by gunfire. Fearing the shooter to still be inside, I made contact with several Orlando Police Department officers and walked toward the northwest corner of the club. I then took a defensive position with these officers and maintained visual contact with an open doorway on the west side of the club."

"The scene was chaotic as many of the victims had gunshot wounds and some who had been carried over appeared to be dead. ....... tasked by an unknown Orlando Police corporal with scene security at the triage area and crowd control as lots of the victims and witnesses were hysterical....

... separating the wounded by categories of levels of injuries to gain control of the scene."

.... inner perimeter was relocated due to a possible improvised explosive device, I assisted in evacuating victims from the bathrooms and dressing room located on the west side of the club."

And because straight people sometimes go to gay bars that means OM wasn't gay? Do gay people not go to gay bars?

Nobody said that gay people don't go to gay bars. But, as was noted, you can't assume that because someone went to a gay bar that they were gay.

I'm straight, and I've been to gay bars on numerous occasions.

Al Qaeda urges lone wolves to target whites, to avoid 'hate crime' label

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/0...-target-whites-to-avoid-hate-crime-label.html

Lone wolf jihadists should target white Americans so no one mistakes their terror attacks for hate crimes unrelated to the cause of radical Islam, Al Qaeda writes in the latest edition of its online magazine.

...............................

Al Qaeda has new advice for lone-wolf terrorists: Target white people to avoid a “hate crime” label.

Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula has analyzed the U.S. response to the June 12 terror attack in Orlando, Florida, and concluded that 29-year-old Omar Mateen erred in targeting a gay nightclub heavily populated with Hispanic men.

There is a differnce between "being or have gone" to a gay bar, and "frequenting" a gay bar. Secondly, strt men do not go to gay bars ALONE. That seems to be underlooked IMO!

Many have stated he was married so he is not gay.

His being married means nothing. Houdreds of times, I have chatted with married men in the bars who describe their anguish in having to get married and have children to cover. In most instances it was the bible as it relates to family rejection . Most of the time they say they love their wives and ....almost always have a passion for thier children, they are however, gay.

Pre AIDS gay bathhouses , which exist solely for sex, are open 24/7/365 and are very ideal for their predictament.

You would buy a membership taken at any club in the chain across the country. Perfect for married gay bussiness men. You would buy a membership and go to anyone in the chain across the country. You would pay for either a room or a locker, in six hours increments for about $9 per 6 hours, and renew as often as wanted.

There were about 500,000 members for the big chain.

Akron, Atlanta, Atlantic City, Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Camden NJ, Chicago, Cleveland (two locations), Columbus Ohio, Dallas, Dayton, Detroit, Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Missouri, Key West, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis ("opening soon"), New Haven ("opening soon"), New York, Newark, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Providence, St. Louis, San Francisco, Tampa, Toledo, Ohio, Washington DC, London Ontario, and Toronto.[SUP][1][/SUP]

Thye had many amenties - pool, hot suana, dry sauna, video rooms, some has food and or drink. [SUP]

HIV impacted the bussines and many closed, and are back now.

The point here is being married does not mean one is strt - - means nothing actually-- other than there is a sheet of paper invovled.

He did not IMO error - he was not a terrorist, he did not even the rules - how connected could be he? The 911 stuff IMO was for dad.

IMO, further data that his connections with ISIS is a media sensation. Any authentic ISIS wanna be terrorist would know organizations number one mandate, and follow it. In terms of what we know, this furthers the realtity that this was mass shooting/hate crime , based on self loathing moo

Tuesday June 28, 2016

“The first of two hearings over Pulse 911 calls and other recordings takes place today at 3:00 p.m. in Orange County Circuit Court.

What is scheduled as a 30-minute hearing is set primarily to go over procedural matters before a more substantive hearing on Thursday over the public records, where attorneys on both sides will present their case.”

Police released logs from the Orlando massacre on Tuesday, providing a stripped-down, staccato narrative of the horror that unfolded over three hours inside the Pulse nightclub two weeks ago.

The document memorializes the notes that 911 dispatchers took on what callers were telling them and what officers were saying over their radios in the early morning hours of June 12.

The timeline begins with an all-too familiar phrase — "Shots fired" — at 2:02 a.m. Another two-word entry — "Subj down" — marked the end of the bloodshed at 5:15 a.m.

In between, note after note laid bare the fear, panic and carnage that filled the club where 49 victims were killed before gunman Omar Mateen was shot dead by police.

More at the link -- some of the notes are relatively graphic:

Several days after this abomination, I knew at some point I would have to go down there. I also trusted myself that I would know "when " I could do so. It mattered to me.

As many of you know, I went down there last Monday fully aware that the scene was was blocked off. On that visit, I had to see to the media, from all over the world , caring about this story. It mattered to me.

I decided last night that today would be day. I would go early, so that if I got lost I did not have to attempt to find my way with traffic all about. I was also aware that it was an experience I wanted to do in quiet, without a lot of people around. That, too, mattered to me.

..............

(Snipped for brevity)

Thank you for this, CARIIS. It is powerful and moving. It matters to me.

DOJ moves Pulse public records case to federal court

Orlando Sentinel

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...cords-preliminary-hearing-20160628-story.html

“The Department of Justice moved the lawsuit between Orlando and two dozen media outlets seeking 911 calls and recordings of Omar Mateen during the Pulse massacre to federal court after being named as a party in the case on Tuesday.

That means today's previously scheduled 3:00 p.m. hearing in Orange County Circuit Court, part of the state judicial system, will not happen.”

Turkey is a terrost attack IMO They blew themselves up for their cause.

Paris same

Omar walked vountairly toward LE firing at them (mental)

If we go back and look

Batman, mental, chilling behind the theatre

Roof, pulled over like a law abiding citizen - mental

Congress woman , mental, is in jail

Elliot ,mental, killed himself

Lanza, mental killed himself

Planned parent hood , mental, surrendered

Mental, obviously, has a suicide component to it, Omar IMO, suicide by cop - anyone who wants to live, dos not come out blazing at cops - end game clearly understood before he made that choice.

Radicalized terroists tend IMO, to want to blow themselves up - to illustrate, there commiment to their cause, and there willingness to blow them selves up in order to hurt civilains

Think about someone wearing a bomb is pretty well telling you he is prepared to die for his casue, Omar hid in a toilet for three hours cowering different moo

Does anyone know of an AMerican mass shooter who has tied slef made bombs on thier bodies??

there are patterns here moo

So McVeigh is an outlier? Or just a different form of terrorist? He could have easily gone up with the building but chose not to. He didn't turn himself in and afaik he didn't have a mental illness.

We cope, perhaps, by trying to compartmentalize it all. But where in our conscience do we find the room for still another shooting, another vigil, another funeral? There have been at least 15 already.

We go about what has become a routine of national mourning -- all well-intentioned, all necessary, but all far too familiar.

Some saw a rainbow over the Pulse nightclub last week, as a sign that perhaps the worst had passed -- that maybe love HAD won in the end.
But rainbows are fleeting. They will be back, but perhaps only after the next storm.
Thanks. I'm behind but this is beautiful.

PEACE.
