This just breaks my heart. All this time has passed and Shannan's murder still hasn't been solved. I will always believe she was trekking thru that marsh towards the light that was on the parkway. RIP Shannan. It is because of you that the light was shone on many other missing persons being found at Gilgo.

I am so on the fence about Shannan's connection. I agree with you here. If you've ever been in that area before, the police theory does seem plausible but as a woman, I don't think my instinct would be to run through this marsh of thick plants and stuff. I would think following back the road that I came in would make more sense. I don't think the highway is lit there but I'm not sure. I have to look overhead again to refresh my memory of the lay of the land in oak beach.
 
It appears SCPD has decided she IS a victim of LISK.

The SCPD has never believed SG's death was related to the 10 sets of human remains. But NOW they are using her death along with the other bodies to fight the release of her 911 call in the lawsuit against CPH?! It's infuriating, but no surprise... the SCPD changes their wording and theory to best suit themselves in circumstances of the moment.

Does anyone have info on the doctor or medical center where shannan had her jaw fixed? It sounds like John Doe 2k had his jaw wired, which is the alternative to the surgical implant shannan had. I'm wondering if there is a connection between the surgery and the murders of these two?

I continue to flip flop over whether Shannan is a Lisk victim or not. I recall discussion of there being a light on the parkway near where she was found. There was also what appeared to be an access road/small turnoff from the parkway which didn't appear to go all the way to where shannan's remains were found. Maybe for 4 wheeling? I sure wouldn't run thru the marsh dressed like Shannan was dressed. It was dark and Shannan may not have realized it was a marsh or even been familiar with how difficult it would be to walk thru the marsh. I've had sandals and tennis shoes sucked off my feet into the silt when I've had reason to jump into the marsh behind our house. Without shoes the oyster shells will slice your feet to bits. But I'm not familiar with the marsh where Shannan was found so it may be totally different than here in NC. She seemed to travel quite a distance from where her boots and jeans and other belongings were found. I am beginning to believe she got stuck and was shedding her boots and jeans and was intercepted, put into a car, killed and dumped in the place she was found near the turnoff. That would mean it was someone local who knows the area though because the turnoff wasn't something that stood out or looked official.

It's such a mystery how Shannan interacted with so many people on her flight from JB residence that evening and ended up where she did...Gus, the lady and her son, CPH. And MP driving around the neighborhood looking for her. IMO MP knew that neighborhood and knew JB better than we know. I also think that CPH was the 'go to' guy in the neighborhood for prescription drugs. That's my opinion based on what little I know about him, disabled, heart problem, home for wayward girls, calls to Mari, denial of calls to Mari. What a tangled web.

Here's why I think this theory could be true... We had an elderly neighbor who was on oxygen, feeble and always had sketchy peeps coming and going from his apt on the next corner. One night Mr wm and I decided to walk down to the corner bar for a toddy and there was that little old man cutting a rug on the dance floor with one of his women...no oxygen tank. I commented that his Dr must have given him something good for him to be so perky. Then it dawned on me that the little old man was probably sellling his pain pills and opiates to the sketchy peeps coming and going from his apt. This probably happens much more often than most realize. jmo
 
Pg.1 post #10. Click onto the article link. SCPD was less than truthful when they claim they were searching for SG early on. They tried to back peddle to cover their azzes. That was also the impression I got when Varrone was interviewed on Arrow Security when asked about a specific timeline concerning SG. IMO.
 
isnt the problem with this specific scenario that there was a driver parked outside who should have been looking out for her ....?

Can anyone explain to me how to search the forum and have the results displayed by post not by thread? The search function is completely useless without this feature. I am trying to find the posts about the case in jersey that Shannan was involved with her former boss

Use the Advanced Search feature, select the tab titled "Search Single Content Type", enter your key words or author, and at the bottom of that page before hitting Search, select "Posts".
 
Thnks billy. I was reading this old article and this is what it says about Pak. When we go back and look at that night, Shannan was clearly running from Pak. I think Pak must be connected to someone who either runs a human trafficking ring, forges passports, smuggles humans into the US. Sri Lanka? I think he's involved in Shannan's murder. What's his connection to Ruiz Shannan's old boss? I mean common sense says she running from PAK and she ends up murdered....common sense would say he either killed her or was involved

I'm in the doctors office and just seen the report about Mari Gilbert being murdered by her daughter! Omg! This is just INSANE!
