Juniper or Jupiter Florida?

It is Jupiter. She's recently friended people on "the other site" from a few hours north of there. By the way, based on Facebook, she went to high school right near there. On the other site she states she needs to move from state to state for work (not sure if it is an escort business--she just added this to facebook too--or one of the many jobs she talks about having on the other site)

She's messing with people. She knows it's being watched. She copied someone else's profile and made some minor changes for half of her profile. Including 3 poems as examples of her writing. I came across the other profile. As such I find the rest of it suspect also.

Ok, if you're not into absurd theories, you can skip this post entirely.

Here goes. I started looking at old bridges. One in particular caught my eye because it's no longer in use, and the road swerves 90 degrees to avoid the river without much (any) warning. It is off of I-85 on the way to Taylors, SC from Anderson. Great, but why would the couple get off the interstate there? There's a gas station and a Wal-mart at the exit, plus some fast food joints, but even if you took the long way to get back on I-85, there wouldn't be any good reason to turn onto Old Anderson Road off of SC81. When I zoomed in even more, I couldn't believe my eyes. The top-rated haunted house in SC is right there on Old Anderson Road near the bridge. It's in an actual haunted farmhouse. Maybe Kala and Charlie drove by to check it out? I know, sounds crazy. But is there someone on here who can check the Saluda River where the road veers off? There are no guard rails that I can see in the Google maps pictures. Another thing, there are still old center line paint marks in the road from the original roadway. Maybe Charlie had been there a while back, felt comfortable with the road, and didn't realize the bridge was out? (Not sure when it was decommissioned.) Oh by the way, there's kudzu there, too. Please, don't be too hard on me for coming up with this theory. It was a hard decision to post this because I don't want to detract from actual facts. But I feel like we have so few facts and we still aren't any closer to finding them... Just would love for someone to check it out. The actual address is 499 Old Anderson Road, Powdersville.

Two things I would like to add to this discussion.
I grew up in Anderson and live in Greenville near Taylor's now. I can't imagine why someone making the drive from their home to Taylors up I-85 would take an exit before 42. There is another after that that is a possibility. I can't remember the number for Pleasantburg Rd.

Taylors is a very large area, geographically. I worked for someone who had a Taylors address, but lived past Blue Ridge. Parts of Taylors are also just outside of Greenville.
Some places are very densely populated, others very rural.

The glasses and contacts being left behind, the dog being left with inadequate food and water supplies suggests a quick trip out and back or something unexpected came up. I think they will be found closer to their home. JMHO.

Just a reminder that we do not link to social media pages of anyone other than the victim, an officially named POI/suspect/perp, mainstream media (MSM) and law enforcement (LE).

Thanks for your input! It's difficult for somebody like me who doesn't know the area to look at a map and try to come up with places that should be searched. It's nice to have somebody who knows the area chime in with some ideas. Sorry if my idea sounded silly. I knew it might, and took the chance anyway because you never know... it will still haunt me until somebody goes and looks, but that's just my little bit of ocd shining through.

I see that "Missing in America" has posted to the "Find Kala and Charlie" page that bodies of water should be searched. MIA has asked the Find Kala page to send them a likely route to the friend's house so that MIA can suggest bodies of water to search. (Hope somebody searches.)

ETA: You might stop at an earlier exit to get gas or a quick trip to Wal-Mart (and get sidetracked from there onto a side road to see a haunted house). Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's been determined for certain that there was no activity on credit cards. And... we don't even know if they went missing on the way to the friend's house. Just grasping at straws here.

Your idea is not silly at all. Derek Funk that was from Knoxville was found 4 years after he went missing submurged in water on his route home. I think this happens a lot especially with people who seem to have just "fallen off the face of the earth". Not really silly ideas, none of know what happened or we wouldn't be sleuthing them.

I'm not sure what it's like in Anderson right now, but the lakes in North Georgia are extremely low. If the water levels are as low as they are there, it would be hard for a submerged vehicle to not be seen right now. Just a thought as to maybe why they aren't searching the water.

I just can't believe there have been no phone pings, no leads, nothing.

We don't know what likely route they took to search. As another poster mentioned we have no accurate timeline. I see the family and police issuing different dates from when they were last heard from and disappeared. I read KB friend said dinner was supposed to be at their apt, then I also read it was to be somewhere else. I read she said it was to be 9/1...then I read they must have been on their way. I've read he was last seen at work on 8/31 at 5:30 then 8/30 on 5:30. KB friend wrote she got a text from her at 8/31 on 6AM which was normal for her. So...were they supposed to go to Taylors on 8/31 when CDC off work? We know on 8/31 KB's profile on another site was active that morning. Per her friend she didn't return calls later that day, eventually going straight to voicemail. That was 8/31. Most of the reports I've seen are that CDC was spotted on camera leaving work 8/31...so there is a chunk of time KB was silent that afternoon. Something happened, someone picked her up, she was busy with something else and ignored calls...and then no word from CDC after he left work. To me...based on trying to compile what we read...something happened to KB before CDC got home from work...or she was just busy and something happened once they both got in his car 8/31. Is 8/31 when they were supposed to go to Taylors? Verified by whoever they were meeting?

How do you find someone when you don't know when or where they went missing?

I just read that there is an investigation of a male deceased body in Greenville. There is a live feed of the investigation at the moment. http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/33602034/investigators-on-scene-of-suspicious-death-in-greenville

Kudzu. Someone needs to start organizing group searches up and down the highway .

<snipped>

I had business in Anderson this week in the area where KB and CDC had their apartment so I chose the Liberty Highway (Hwy 76) exit #21, thinking this would be the route I might take to travel from Anderson to Taylors.
I saw a couple of areas that someone could possibly go off the road, but the vegetation did not look disturbed.
I don't feel strongly that they drove off the road in the one spot that is near the lake. It would be unlikely to miss the pine trees between the road and lake.
Another thing that would be in play is the traffic in that area would likely be more active especially in the morning or evening.
The apartment is on a side street off of Clemson Boulevard in the "restaurant row" area of Anderson. There are a lot of businesses there.

They could take Clemson Blvd. to exit 19, to get on 85, but there is almost always traffic in this area due to the shopping, restaurants and there are a few sports clubs that stay open late. Someone would most likely have seen an accident in this area. Also, I'm not sure there is a suitable location for them to disappear.

The next likely route would be to cut across town to highway 29 to get to 85 (exit34). There would be more rural locations, but I can't think of where they might encounter water deep enough to disappear them. (There could be some I'm not recalling)

I hope and pray they are somewhere safe taking a break and/or are found soon. My heart goes out to their families.

I can't believe this, either. Unless I am missing something, I have not seen any information as to a location when their phones last pinged. I know that sometimes the location may not be accurate as it may ping off another tower, but this would still be crucial information. Did both of their phones last ping at the same time or different times? This may shed light into whether they were together or not. If they both turned off at the same time, this may suggest an accident where the car went underwater. It would also give an approximate location to begin searches, which I also haven't seen any information on. I have followed many missing persons cases and they usually have some searches organized after 2 months missing. Something just doesn't add up here.

Thank you for taking the time to check out the area!

The family has been asked this multiple times and say that LE told them the phones were dead and therefore couldn't be pinged. I don't know much about that process.

Of course, if you wanted to disappear (or make someone) you would just yank the sim or battery before you left and take the phone so info couldn't be retrieved from it.

I don't know much about the process either. I do know that once the phones are dead they cannot be tracked. That's right. The only thing that works is NFC and I don't believe there are logs. However, up to the point the phone dies, LE can obtain a tower dump which provides a passive (i.e., without using the phone) log tracking the phone's serial number. I guess that was not done. Perhaps, LE does not have enough evidence a crime was committed and are not pursuing a warrant. Perhaps, the same is true for the Facebook access, but that would be less relevant/important than the phones IMHO.

But couldn't the last ping still be seen the last time the phones were on??
