When someone turns up missing, you have to look at that person background. Whether it be criminal or civil court issues. Past issues with running away, crying wolf, mental issues, some are just plain attention seekers. Cops cant handle every kid as endangered. There was this case I worked where a mom reported her 15 year old daughter missing. I found her, she was in a motel with three guys who were pimping her out and all that. The girl had once before ran away from the juvenile center in Houston. When I found her and took this to HPD on Mykawa, it went on the bottom of the pile. The stack was about three feet high. When Mom was contacted and told they had a location for her, the mom said she wanted her daughter out of her life that it was causing problems between her and her new (rich) boyfriend. She basically just tossed her away. I never know what happened to her. She is probably dead now. But the classic scenario would be flashed all over the news how distraught her Mom is when they find her dead, etc...what the news wont report or release is the truth behind the story. You must take into consideration every scenario. Sad truth.

Here is a link to a phone conversation with the FBI agent Rennison. A little over halfway through the call, you will hear Rennison say they know Stallings is good for the murders of Benna Bowen and April Eaves and probably the fourth victim in the fieldshttp://chirb.it/rgzzPE however this all boils down to resources and "weren't these two girls just prostitutes?
 
Here is a phone call with the 2nd in charge of the DA's office named Petroff. He was the one prosecuting the Clyde Hedricks case. In it the killing fields and FBIS call about knowing that Stallings is good for those two murders.

Here is a response from a reporter who got this information and even listened to the recordings. Apparently letters from a guy admitting to the killings, an article from the the then sheriff of Fort Bend County saying Stallings was good for the murders and the FBI agent's admission that Stallings was good for the murders wasnt good enough for this reporter. This same agent tells the media that Stallings was only trying to make a name for himself however he says different in the call. Anyone got the guts to report this cover up? Here is the reporters response:

Hello Jim, I read through the blog and I'm having a tough time finding a solid story here. It is mostly hearsay and innuendo possibilities. All of it purely circumstantial. There is no solid evidence to move anything forward.


Also, the subjects involved in your discovery would most assuredly not go on camera or even want to lend a voice to what they are saying.


Even the FBI agent was unimpressive. There is simply little to move this case forward.


I don't doubt the possibility of what you are suggesting. And it sounds like others involved also do not "doubt" the possibility. But this alone is not enough for a quality investigative piece. This is likely why other media outlets have been slow to respond.

Courtesy of the Scared Monkeys Blog, a letter posted to Tim Miller by his daughter's (Laura) killer is printed in its entirety on the site. I took some scans of the letter, which is 2-sided and also typed up what I could read. Since Robert Abel, one of the main suspects died from apparent suicide months before, it is believed that either a friend or family member of Abel typed up the letter [using different computer fonts] to detract attention from Abel's role in the crimes. At least that's what authorities and Tim Miller believe.

Although nothing really new is revealed in the letter, some interesting ideas are put forth: the killer targets brown-haired caucasian woman because of a certain woman. Maybe someone that spurned him, ala Tim Bundy? Also six bodies exist according to the killer, not four, so two have not been found because he hid them from view. The alleged killer also says he's not the only killer around the area. The reason to put the girls in the killing field was for publicity and to exhibit them, and more woman will die. He refers to 666 (the sign of the devil) and calls himself the Phantom? Or maybe that's what the police believe he is... He also knows that Officer Pat Cereal profiled the murders, but says he was wrong and he tampered with evidence. Does that mean he's someone on the inside, like a policeman? And this killer of woman makes sure to emphasize that the "NASA horseman Abel" is not the right suspect. How kind of him, right? Or if there is any legitimacy to this claim, then maybe he wants to get the credit. His MO changes and one cryptic phrase is "for the little shrine & more are more secret." Insteresting to speculate

just wondering, when the letter delivered to Tim Miller? was it in December of 2005?
 
Mark Stallings is desperate for 15 seconds of fame because he will be in prison until he dies. He has confessed to murdering a lot of women/girls and many of the crimes were impossible for him to have committed (i.e. age and location factors).

Hi....I follow this case a bit....where is the information of the upper dentures coming from, because I can not find that on her Names site, and it seems to me a good identifier....
 
What a "coincidence". Just started to going in to this cases and what did I see on the Dutch tv today...the story about the killing fields in Texas..... could this be a positive sign in dark times? (no...I'm not crazy....)
 
Is this girl ever considered for Jane Doe? http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/j/jones_theresa.html As far as I can see she is not on the rule out list.

I have the eary feeling that she might have been "kept" for years (also explaining the big gap between missing and found date) and killed and dumped when she was "to old". She would have been 23 years in 1986.

Anybody sees also a link between the two unidentified victims? They both had healed ribfractures, but if you beleave in the theory that somebody "get rid" of them because they were aging that doesn't fit, because Janet is estimated 29 years....just rambling.....

I just wish there was an easy way to add pictures..there are a lot of pictures via the link
 
Does anybody recall that Janet Doe had upper dentures, I thought I have read that somewhere but it is not in Namus?
