What about red light cameras at nearby locations?
I did a search and see there are some, i just don't know how to link it here.
This past summer I had to call about a malfunctioning light at an intersection that I went through twice, 4 days apart. They were very helpful at getting back to me and checking with the times I gave them.

I am thinking that the phone used for internet would not have been able to make or receive calls. I was assuming it was a phone that had no contract on it and was able to access internet by wifi only. When I upgraded my phone I still have my old phone here and can access internet by wifi on it. Anyone know if there is an app or anything that you could still make calls on such a phone? Mistivon is there any way to confirm if this internet phone was a working phone that could also make and receive calls?

Good idea, it'd be ironic if a red light cam actually served a useful purpose for once.

Could be skype or something similar, yes. It would help to know which phone she was receiving the calls on, and what song the ringtone was.

Yeah, they need to get her phone records asap.

I believe any scenario except voluntary missing. Unless of course she's hiding from someone wanting to do harm to her but I think she would have disappeared under different terms then.

I'd like to see friends posting stories of Mari to humanize her and use the hash tag #MariStories or something. Also more pics need to be available and spreading like wild fire.

What gets me from the start is Sarah stating MG had to turn off her phone because music wouldn't stop playing. Sorry, doesnt make any sense. First thing I thought was someone is blowing up her phone. Was someone looking for her or could she have made contact via text or call before she even arrived at GW? Was that person at her house 15 minutes away or lost and GM made the excuse to smoke to make contact and give directions? She goes to Jons for (smokes, lighter, matches, drink, bathroom?) and walks into the church, because its a safe inconspicuous place to lurk while waiting for whoever (hookup drugs, meet pimp/manager, an x) . Then while in church gets a text from that person/persons in the back parking lot telling her to meet him/her at a vehicle in the lot which makes MG pissed and so she storms out and as per the dogs scent either went to the wrong lot and possibly per via text or call realized the perp was at the Kaiser lot and backtracked there. Or with the possible new clothing evidence was abducted out back of the church and items of clothes were picked and tossed at different locations throughout the weeks, or the dog smelled GM or her clothes from a dump truck trail. I believe she new the perpetrator. Although it could've very well been a team of abductors from the area which would explain the two sketchy guys that went back to make sure Sarah didn't know or see anything. Who knows?

As far as a 5150 episode that makes no sense to me that someone just breaks down, flips out, then rips her clothes off tosses her phone and runs away down a major street.

As far as a RSO it was on my top list of maybe, but the ringing phone, sitting in the church, not notifying anyone she's hiding from a perpetrator doesn't make sense. Now could the person she was meeting there be tied to some sex trafficking ring, yes I think it's a possibility, but a lone abductor chasing her around the strip mall without anyone being alerted doesn't sit well. On the other hand if it was a team in the area and they had her pinned in the church with one in the back door and another in the front, why didn't she tell someone at the church, and why would she head out the side door and straight to the back, or why didn't she just stay in the church? Seems to me she had to know who abducted her.

She could've run away and that person could've been waiting for her at her house, the person takes 15 minutes to drive to GW, she waits in the church, then disappears to Mexico or wherever. The photographer who liked her picks on line lists him as being in europe. Could some perv have manipulated her into sneaking into another country with his help for a future life together. Dought it.

What needs to be followed up on is:

Call all morgues for Jane Does fitting description

Call all hospitals for any Jane Does fitting description

Get phone records

Computer browser information

Yes, hard to believe, but check inmate rosters

Check criminal records

Set up a sting in the area to see whos taking the flyers down outside of the business district ( store managers most likley taking down at business ) then again an employee who lives in the area could know more.

Branch out and canvas surrounding residential neighborhoods with flyers and questions. Maybe someone has a home security camera pointed out back. Have a bodygaurd or someone with CWP to be safe.

Your first paragraph outlines a scenario that makes the most sense to me. I think the "music playing" was someone contacting her and she left GW to meet that person. I think she fully intended on returning to GW and had no intention of leaving her sister stranded.

What baffles me a bit is that the sisters are described as shy and sheltered, yet MG has experience with drugs and risky modeling/hostess activities. I'm not judging her in the slightest and I do believe she is a victim of abduction, but can't reconcile the "sheltered" description with drugs/modeling. (I do understand that shy people are often drawn to modeling and performing as those activities provide a way to break out of shyness while on stage.) I admit this disconnect is confusing, and I also acknowledge I don't need to know everything. Bottomline is I want her found (safely!).

She could have also used her other phone as a 'hotspot' to utilize it's connection for an app her internet phone to message/call.
Again, all theory without documented phone records to support it.

When someone is shy or insecure and looking for attention, maybe in her case ( modeling, dancing, escorts ) their looking for some validation through these acts. It can become addicting as its your only source of attention. It temporarily fills whatever she's missing in life with empowerment. Drug use is someone self medicating a problem deeper inside. Insecurity is a huge problem in LA for not just young people, but adults. I spent most of my entire life in LA watching so many people waste there lives trying to compete with everyone. Not only do the rich and famous people I know still have to have the newest most expensive everything, the poor also try to emulate that lifestyle. Large Latino families living with 6 people in a studio apartment in the Barrio still drive a BMW. So for MG to be involved in drugs or modeling is absolutley understandable and the norm. Unfortunately it's all to commen for those in that lifestyle to get caught up in it and end up in a situation they can't get out of. Especially if you're gullible and shy. I'm not even going to touch the fact that the Valley is the biggest *advertiser censored* hub in the world and minors are getting into home *advertiser censored* on an alarming level to become, in their peers eyes, famous. I've seen it all down there believe me. Bad decisions can have detrimental consequences especially in the city of Angel's. And I do believe she knows her abductor/abductors.

IIRC the deliveries were in Venice Beach.

Yes. Mg had a part time job for a delivery service. PostMates. It is like Uber, but you pick up food or supplies and drop them off. She had 2 deliveries in Venice Beach area, and her younger sister went along for the ride.

They were returning home and apparently her sister remembered that she needed some things for an 80's theme party---so she wanted to stop at a vintage clothing type store to find something. MG googled where to stop, so it was not a pre-planned destination.

That also tells us that she did have the use of a smart phone with a browser at that time.

So her smartphone wasn't wifi only then. I have in the past had two phones, where one had an internet plan but no voice plan. In that case, I could still use the phone for calls but had to pay per minute. Maybe she had that setup and rarely used the phone for calls. That may explain why her sister didn't recognize her ringtone.

Ariana Khalil's sister says she was advertising on CL that she wanted to run away. Someone contacted her and she called him to come get her. Wonder if Mari advertised on CL.

I haven't caught up with threads but this on caught my eye so if I'm being redundant, forgive me. Yes good idea about her emails. We need those. And I know it may not be possible but if we can get get cell number I can run a social media trace using her cell # and hope it generates some hits.
