Heart officially broken.

Disturbing details emerge about boy's isolation, torture before fed to pigs

Jones says her stepson was eventually confined to the master bathroom shower stall that was covered with plywood. She says Adrian would be released for a brief period each day that almost mimics what a prisoner in solitary confinement experiences. She says this went on for months.

Jones describes a boy who lost his spirit before he lost his life.

“He didn’t yell, scream, cry when Mike beat him at all. Mike said he didn’t feel pain," she said.

Jones says Adrian died trapped in that shower covered with plywood strapped down to a chair.

"His legs were really swollen. His hands were swollen. He had like scars and bruises on his abdomen around his back area from previous incidences," Jones said.

Videos reportedly show gruesome abuse before KCK child was fed to pigs

Conway said the videos came from more than 30 security cameras placed throughout the home, The Kansas City Star reported. The videos and photos were given to Conway by Jennifer Hoevers, who rented the home to the Joneses in 2014. After Heather Jones was arrested and the children placed in state custody, Hoevers said Heather Jones gave her passwords to her social media accounts and asked that Hoevers send her pictures of the kids. Hoevers said that's when she found photos and videos of Adrian suffering from obvious abuse, including being strapped to an inversion table, standing before a plate of food with soap in his mouth and standing naked in a shower stall.

If any case deserved the death penalty, it's this one. They Should be under the jail. Poor baby.

God, I want to be a foster parent one day, so I can save kids like this. Poor kid deserved to be loved, adored, treated like a person. The monsters who killed him deserve utter hell.

Kansas Democrat introduces Adrian’s Act following death of Kansas City, Kan., boy

TOPEKA
A Kansas City, Kan., lawmaker has introduced a bill that would create an added penalty in child abuse cases in the wake of the death of a young boy who had been tortured and abused in his family’s home.

Rep. Louis Ruiz, a Kansas City, Kan., Democrat introduced Adrian’s Act on Friday.

Ruiz said he and other members of the Wyandotte County delegation felt they should take responsibility and try to help.

I hope and pray that the legislature let this pass. This would be a great legacy for little Adrian!

What his parents did to him was just beyond awful and disgusting. imo

I agree with you. It seems like this family member who would occasionally stay at the house should have known something was wrong.

This case hurts my heart. I'm glad to read the maternal grandmother sought therapy after watching the DVDs. Here the link with her interview and an article (taken from the above link.)

God. I don't get why... why why why take the children from the grandmother? There are so many cases where the bio parents get to uproot the child and end up abusing and/or killing them. I feel bad for the grandmother and kids. I hope they all work with a therapist.

For the life of me why did they do this to Adrian and not the girls? Did they not want a son?

Adrian did not deserve the cruel life he endured. I don't understand why the uncle or grandma didn't rescue him. Surely there were signs of abuse going on. Why didn't one of the girls say something.

I hope our legislature listens to the Bill and passes it.

all imo moo

I've avoided this thread because of my own son being Adrian's age (well, a little older now :( ), but the still pictures came across my FB feed. I knew about Adrian and what was done to him but I didn't want to see that... it just breaks my heart all over again and I just want to scoop him up and hold him and protect him. I've wondered this so many times but in Adrian's case the WHY is so big. Why! How can people be so insanely cruel. These are the cases where I just want to scream to stop the $%&*^ planet, I want off. RIP Adrian. :( :rose:

Wish I could have saved Adrian. Even if it meant kidnapping him !

Don't worry. I live a law abiding life.

But, how I wish I could have taken him in my arms and assured him it was over, and he'd be safe.

This case is so horrific. People in war time concentration camps suffered such abuse.
Cannot believe anyone could call themselves a human being and do this.

Adrian's Act sounds like a great idea. Lawmakers please pass this without bickering! Poor little angel. I'm so sorry :(
