[FONT=&quot]Lombardo said he is “absolutely” confident authorities will find out what set off Paddock, a 64-year-old high-stakes gambler and retired accountant who killed himself before police stormed his 32nd-floor room.

[FONT=&quot]Paddock transferred $100,000 to the Philippines in the days before the shooting, a U.S. official briefed by law enforcement but not authorized to speak publicly because of the continuing investigation told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

[FONT=&quot]By 1 estimate, Paddock fired off as many as 9 rounds per second. @carterevans looks at how he may have turned a rifle to a rapid-fire weapon

In my opinion he was well prepared. I believe a narcissist wants full control of how they make a final exit. They want to call the shots-no pun intended. He took measures for not being ordered out alive by any authorities.

-The cameras and weaponry speak to what officials said Tuesday was a remarkable amount of planning and preparation by the shooter to increase the lethality of his attack. He may have used the cameras to ensure he was not captured alive, according to people familiar with the investigation.

-When a SWAT team burst into his room, they found him dead on the floor, apparently having shot himself in the mouth with a silver, black-handled revolver.

-The high number of firearms found at the hotel suggest a concern for overheating rifle barrels. The barrels can reach several hundred degrees, turning orange and even blue as rounds travel thousands of feet per second through them. In one crime-scene photo published by the Daily Mail, the gunman appears to be ***wearing a glove on his left hand, probably for holding a smoking-hot barrel***

-Those components used together in a weapon suggest a desire to quickly shoot a lot of automatic-like fire into masses of people without much concern for accuracy, as the recoil from simulated automatic fire would make it difficult to hit specific targets at long range. The concert stage was between 400 and 500 yards from the hotel.

-“He obviously tried this out before he was in the hotel room,” Wilson said. He added that his initial conclusion from audio of the gunfire pointed to a bump modification on at least one weapon. The fire rate was inconsistent with a weapon originally designed to fire automatically, Wilson said.

I would not be surprised if he is a narcissist, probably a malignant narcissist.

Honestly it was a train wreck. I FFWD through a few min of it but the whole thing was him basically talking about how wealthy the killer was, how the wire to Philippines was prob because killer takes care of the people he loves so he was taking care of Marilou, that the killer must have had something terrible happen to him to spiral into hell, that the killer prob bought those bump things for the guns but they are prob still in the bag and he didn’t use them because of some weird reason I don’t remember, brother wants an autopsy done on killer bc it could have been a brain tumor, killers nephew (interviewees son) is upset and called him crying about all of this etc etc. major lack of empathy for the victims IMO. I understand that the family is probably really torn up and very emotional as well, but the brother should really stop talking to the press. I walked away from that video with a terrible taste in my mouth. It was essentially 30 min of talking about killers wealth and how the casinos praised him, and maybe 30 seconds of expressing empathy for the victims and their families.

It is so clear that his brother is confused and undone by this heinous act. What his ramble does do is to create a picture of a man who came from adversity but has lived his life doing whatever he wanted. He was bolstered by the success he had and was given lots of goodies by casinos. I wish he would stop giving interviews as well.

I appreciate but I also think it foolhardy to reveal how he manipulated these guns. This bump stock... if some future shooter previously didn't know, now they certainly will...

Also per presser 59 dead. 58 being the victims and the last being the shooter. They also said they cannot confirm that 100 thousand transfer nor can they confirm the gf/wife coming here... which I find odd. Will she seek some sort of asylum? Why isn't she back het

Ps asked if there are international terror ties. The undersheriff said while they can't confirm they are not ruling anything out. This is an investigation that will take time and be ongoing

Sorry last edit. Those cameras being prepped tell us so much. This was sophisticated and completely considered prior to the act.

He needs to stop watching and reading the news. I think it is normal to want to correct inaccuracies or to explain things but he is going to make himself crazy and sick. jmo

I dont think this had anything to do with him losing money. I think he had carefully planned this out for maybe even months. He was spending his money as he wanted because he knew he wasn't going to be here to spend anymore. I even think in his own twisted way he may have used her player's card so he could build up her comps for the future.

This man had been a high roller for years. They are use to losing money and winning a lot of money.

I think he sent his girlfriend thousands for the same reason. He knew he wouldn't be here to give her the lavish lifestyle he had given her. That is IF that is where the money was going and she wasn't passing it on to someone else. I am glad that the Sheriff is back to calling her a POI. How could she not see over 40 firearms in the home she lived in with him or the bomb making material? He didn't just start buying all of these weapons right before he did the massacre.

One thing the Sheriff said today in the afternoon PC that jumped out to me and he mentioned they had to checkout if he had been radicalized. (paraphrasing) I just thought it was odd that he mentioned that.

I would thinking losing money is just part of it. I wonder how he got all that money. Could he been in debt before the massacre?

That being said, I suspect Stephen Paddock is an injustice collector.

BBM ~ He is in shock, everyone acts different when in shock.

It's possible that his firearm jammed, or got hot, he may have forgotten about certain gear like safety glasses, or gloves. Firing that long, with spent shell casings flying everywhere, and the heat off of the weapon, could have stopped him, not because of safety but because of pain. Or he may have laid low so they couldn't spot him and he could start again. Maybe he called his g/f? Any number of reasons. Using the bump stock could have become tiring too (he didn't look like he was in the best of shape). It requires using two hands.

Last I heard he had around 20 weapons (give or take). They didn't all jam.
