FYI - alot of filipinos send money to their families back to the Phillipines, I personally don't think anything too much will come into it.

Hopefully she will have some insight into darkness he fell into.

All the condolences to all victims and loved ones involved in this non-sense tragedy. :heartbeat:

But he didn’t have family in the Philippines. They were not married so her family is technically not his. And $100k is a lot to send at once. JMO

Per the most recent press conference security and probably local police were at his door by about 10;20pm and exchanged gun fire (one hotel security person was shot). It doesn’t sound like he continued shooting out the window after this.

SWAT blew the door around 11:20pm. I personally think he shot himself long before SWAT arrived.

There's a photo leaked of him dead in the hotel room of his head all bloody after swat breached door and went in and found him. It was mentioned by Lombardo at the press conference that it was leaked. If you google some websites that photo is still out there. Some websites still have the pics of his lower body but cropped the headshot. I wish I could post but not allowed.

What a psychopath I still think this was linked to isis. There's an area in Philippines that has lots of Muslims. Isis called him a soldier. Some radio reporting they said that right away. He really hid his true self from his family.

Sorry, but the FBI, ATF, state and local LE seem to have this situation under control. They're doing a great job as they are. Haven't heard in the news media of any requests for out of state LE volunteers to come to town and help out. Can you think of any reason why large numbers of out of state LE would feel the need to volunteer their services without anyone asking?

Well it's common practice for outside LE to offer their help when a jurisdiction has something awful happen. They think of themselves as a family. In the upcoming days there are going to be funerals for local cops, and how nice it is for outside cops to volunteer so officers can go remember their fallen comrades. And I imagine a lot of local LE are going to need a mental break, considering they just witnessed a mass slaughter.

If anyone can understand, it’s NYPD and FDNY. So I would understand them going to give LVPD some time off to grieve for sure. Does it work that way... Meaning can NYPD legally patrol in Vegas? Hopefully, bc I’m sure they can use all the support they can get right now. I lived in NJ when 9/11 happened and most fire departments went into the city to help.

Many many people have argued that a weapon cannot be made automatic. My husband always said he could turn his 22 automatic in a couple of hours. Finally, the truth is coming out

Do what he says.........................

I don’t think anyone believes it’s altered. Mods prob just prefer it to be linked directly from the MSM source instead of YouTube. It’s not that big of a deal to just link it from MSM instead of YouTube once you know the mods would prefer it, especially if it’s so easily accessible in MSM.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I watched a Youtube demonstrating how effective bump-fire stocks are. I wasn't even aware of them before that. It got me thinking: Fully automatic weapons are illegal as hell, but here's a device that "Rambo-izes" a gun for cheap, and it's legal. Ridiculous.

It is so absurd the thing I saw about the things that turn them into mass murder instruments describe it as safe and fun

yes fun was there word

Can anyone please explain the FOX bumper on the bottom here at the beginning??

WTH??

TIA

Or it is very controversial, as in where the gunshots came from and "actors". I think people have to stop wearing their tin foils hats.

That was the reason given by the moderator.

The "taxi driver" video was unapproved yesterday because it is a random youtube video and we cannot veryify the source of a video posted by a private individual, nor can we verify that it has not been altered. The video is supposedly sourced back to CNN, but as yet no CNN link has been provided.

So, unapproved again today until someone comes up with the original source link.

It is so clear that his brother is confused and undone by this heinous act. What his ramble does do is to create a picture of a man who came from adversity but has lived his life doing whatever he wanted. He was bolstered by the success he had and was given lots of goodies by casinos. I wish he would stop giving interviews as well.

Idk, but, I think he doth protest too much. I could be very, very, wrong, but I think that he knows a little more than he's letting on. He's was very focused on his brother being a "regular" guy, in the beginning, who he rarely ever saw or had contact with. He said SP called to see if their Mom was okay after the hurricane. Now, all of sudden, he knows how much SP spent on sushi for his friends? I'm sorry fella, but are ya'll close brothers or not? I've got sibling who lives 10-15 miles from me, and I couldn't tell you what how they spend their money, I couldn't tell you their address off the top of my head. But the brother he hardly spoke to, he now knows about all of his finances, and spending habits.

I think family, and the g/f, may have known that SP wasn't a "regular" guy, but SP was funneling money to all of them so they turned their heads. I don't think that any of his family thought he'd ever do anything like this. This is strictly an observation. He was probably the odd duck in the family. He wasn't living near the other family members, , so they didn't have to put up with him, but benefited from his wealth, and business acumen. His g/f reportedly put up with him talking down to her, why? She'd lived all over, it seemed she wasn't a prisoner. Someone allegedly benefited from $100k in the Philippines...

I also find it hard to believe that they don't know who got the $100k by now. SP's bank, had to have the receiver's name, acct# and bank name, in order to wire the funds. Surely they know who his banker is by now.

How do you know no one is asking?

You do know that this was a HUGE incident, with massive problems stemming from the tragedy. There are many issues that need to be dealt with.

There are still 150+ cars left in the lot that have to be towed to police impound, and picked up by registered owners. That in itself takes a lot of manpower. Wouldn't it be best to relieve the local officers from that job and let fresh officers, from out of town, handle that time consuming job?

The local officers are exhausted, shocked, and in full grief. Why wouldn't they want their brethren to come and help shoulder their burden.

It is insulting to accuse the officers of offering help just so they get a 'paid vacation.' Do you really believe it would feel like a fun time to go help other officers with tasks involving the deaths of 59 innocents?

How would you know if the local authorities wanted any help or not?

I know personally that the Bakersfield PD did ask for help when they had a similar tragedy at the Health Department Christmas party. LAPD sent several officers to help with the paperwork nightmare and help guard crime scenes around town. I don't think any of the officers felt it was a 'holiday.'

at the presser the cop appeared pretty angry that these were leaked -- someone is in trouble,

There's another one on the heavy website where it shows his head and upper body in a pool of blood.

Coward

The moderators posted that they are not allowing it because they can't verify the source of the video, and that it hasn't been altered. I don't think they are trying very hard. It's took me about five minutes to verify it, find the original source as well as find it on dozens of mainstream media sites.

I guess we should all just do our bit to play by the rules...After all most of the mods are volunteers doing their bit in spare hours...it's not like there is a WS media department chasing down every link once it's posted. Various MSM has media departments and that's how they can and do verify a source...and that's why WS runs better if posters fish about a bit to see if a MSM source exists. It makes threads flow much better if posts (and associated comments) are not deleted just because of a random You-Tube link instead of a MSM source.

Last I heard he had around 20 weapons (give or take). They didn't all jam.

I didn't say they all jammed. That was only one, of several thoughts, I offered as to why he quit shooting for a period of time. They may be able to tell us after they go through his videos. Who knows, though, we may never know.
