IMO someone needs to pass this along to the state before the retrial. It really does make perfect sense. In closing the prosecutor can ask them to say 'a wreck' while they're deliberating.
problem with it to me is the crime scene investigation or lack of. Grrr

......maybe we need a societal mandatory juror preparation certification class before one may be allowed to serve as a juror?

How about civics throughout elementary and high school, instead of concentrating on football and cheerleading....basic math and grammar, too. JMO

Oh my gosh, I just got caught up via a reporters tweets. WTF? What happened is unexcusable. What happens now?

What was the racial makeup of the jury again? Nevermind...I found it. 6 white and 6 black.

It actually started out at 6/6, but a white man was excused on day one or two for posting something on Facebook, and was replaced by an African-American, I believe.

According to a tweet posted back they will retry him

I believe Jessica was saying “car wreck” and one of the timelines said “for approximately ½ an hour, (10:15-10:47 a.m.), Chambers and Tellis were driving circles on Courtland’s backroads.”

This is what driving circles does to your vehicle according to Wikipedia:

“Doughnuts performed in dust or mud are colloquially referred to as "circle work". Performing the doughnut maneuver can be hazardous. Strain is placed on the vehicle's suspension and drive train, which may result in mechanical breakdown with loss of control. Tires are also subject to severe wear which may result in a sudden loss of pressure or blowout”

If Jessica had been making circles with her vehicle for some time, it might have created an undetected mechanical problem that caused her to loose control of her vehicle.

If not that, at least a short video explaining the words used within the trial process. Remember the jury is supposed to be of the defendants "peers" and given that fact may not have the best education. No shade intended, but if the education isn't in place to understand the terms, how can the jury possibly understand the instructions and evidence presented ?
"Not innocent" was a response ?

Thing about that is they made statements and testified in this trial. Pretty sure those could be used to impeach if changed. Too many said same is the issue j.m.o

Agreed. Plus, there is no reason to provide the defense another theory of QT not doing it. The evidence is overwhelming that he did it, so now it’s just a game of lawyership.

I hope if there is a retrial that prosecutors will ask the first responders if it's possible she said 'car wreck' or 'wreck' and not 'Erick'.

In my earlier posts I posted video of JC at gas pump with no rear end damage to her vehicle and then her car after burning with rear end damage. Very good possibility she was attempting to say car wreck. Or she thought she was in a car wreck in her confusion JMHO Either way not eric.

I am so heartbroken for her family...

I hope one day there will be justice for Jessica I cannot believe this.

Did she mean "doughnuts" or that they were just "driving in circles" as in "meandering around?" I don't think Jessica was actually doing doughnuts with her car, but that's just my opinion.

What the Heck Is Happening with the Jessica Chambers Verdict?

First, the jury announced it was deadlocked. A while later, the jury announced that it had reached a verdict. When the judge examined the verdict slip, he asked the jurors if their verdict was unanimous. One blurted out that it was not. So, the judge sent the jury back to deliberate some more.

Then, a while after that, the jury came out and announced it had a verdict. The judge examined the verdict slip, handed it to the clerk, and asked the clerk to read the verdict.

That verdict? Not guilty of capital murder. But — wait! Things got even more complicated when the judge asked each juror to report back their vote. The verdict was split. It was not unanimous. Some jurors said they voted “not guilty,” while some said “guilty.”

Or maybe her killer smashed into the back end of her car to get her to pullover?
