Proof and charge would come after the baby is born, with a DNA test unless the victim has other proof such as testimony. And even then, they will want the DNA evidence at time of charge or later.

If, however, she was forced. That equals Rape.

And if they took off while mom was in sheetz, how do we know AC went willingly if no one else saw them?

Wow 13 is young! !! The age of consent in my state is 16. There's a variety of different charges based upon ages of both parties involved, but all are felonies.

So if she's not considered a victim or potential victim of a sex crime, I guess they can use her name publicly until he's located and charged?

Same here - that's just insane to me!

ETA: the statute at the link actually says "UNDER the age of 13". so really, even if she were only 13, he could not be charged with statutory rape. That's mind boggling.

You're right. We don’t know for sure if she went willingly. We also don’t know for sure she is pregnant or autistic or needs meds. Everything is based on the mom’s stories. At this point, LE isn’t calling this an abduction or kidnapping. That’s all I’ve got. Sigh.

(A) No person who is eighteen years of age or older shall engage in sexual conduct with another, who is not the spouse of the offender, when the offender knows the other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age, or the offender is reckless in that regard.


(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.


(1) Except as otherwise provided in divisions (B)(2), (3), and (4) of this section, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a felony of the fourth degree.


(2) Except as otherwise provided in division (B)(4) of this section, if the offender is less than four years older than the other person, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a misdemeanor of the first degree.


(3) Except as otherwise provided in division (B)(4) of this section, if the offender is ten or more years older than the other person, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a felony of the third degree.

The thing that gets me is her bio and how "out" she is. Not sure if it's an ASD thing with the oversharing or it's just how much society has changed since ten years ago (IMO I would never publicly come out of the closet to the entire world at 14! I wouldn't even do it now in my mid-20's... yikes). This was also something my cousin thought was a little weird - he knows friends and family members who are LGBTQ+ and are pretty out, but he doesn't know anyone his own age that is openly declaring their sexuality on Insta like that... it reminds me a bit of certain lesbian/queer dating sites. I don't know if this has ANYTHING to do with the grooming, incest, etc. that is so obviously going on with LJ, but since she's clearly very open about it, I feel it could potentially factor into why things transpired as they have.

Everyone is different. My son came out to me at 14. His close friends all knew at school. This is before Facebook days though. I think it's like everything else. Some people post every move they make, every word their family and friends say. Some people post nothing at all.

In regards to the Assured clear distance, MVA... notice the case has TRD. It's a traffic related offense. Most likely the same as failure to maintain distance resulting in a motor vehicle accident, IMO.

The other one, reasonable control, again has the TRD. I think it would be failure to maintain control of vehicle.

Criminal Simulation is a class A misdemeanor, section 170.45. If with intent to defraud, a person makes or alters anything in a way that it appears to be of value such as an antique or rare item for the purpose of trade or sale to profit greater from it.

I agree that there is no reason at all to believe "mom" but nobody else in the family has disputed the missing poster info about the pregnancy nor the autism. I mean specifically dad and other relatives. They shared the posters. Granted, they might have just been told about a pregnancy, but would've curtailed incorrect information about autism,imo
