I think it was said that no rape kit was done as she said she was not sexually assaulted. Or reported that she was not sexually assaulted.
Regarding the dramatic scenario, I think you might have something there, that SP in her fantasy imagined telling that story would garner her as her own personal hero.

Yeah none of the hospital visit sits well with me. Heck they keep people for personal observation for way less. The whole emaciated, branded, bruises, nose broken, you might want a good nights rest and a good exam the next day just to be sure.

I figure she didn’t want to stay overnight, so they had release her. A good exam may not have been wanted IYKWIM. :dunno:

I've been re-searching her case and found a few things of interest:

• Sherri's high school friend also went missing during a jog but in 1998- Tera Smith was 16 when she went missing and unfortunately was never found. She is believed to have been murdered by her 29 year old married boyfriend after she was trying to break off their relationship.

Somehow I missed this about her friend Tera. I think this is real important because I think SP may be acting out and trying to replicate onto herself what happened to her friend.

These things are just way too coincidental to me to have almost the same exact circumstances as in SP case. Sadly TS has never been found. Things I found a little too coincidental in SP case.

TS looked similar to SP and the article says they were close friends.

TS disappeared after leaving her home dressed to go jogging and SP was dressed in jogging gear too and went jogging before she went missing.

TS was having an affair and SP was contacting an individual outside of the marriage before she goes missing.

A couple of days after SP went missing, her husband Keith sought out Tera's parents. Wonder how close is SP and KP to TS parents these days since TS disappeared about 20 years ago or did KP get some kind of sign from SP that he felt he had better go talk with them.

speaking of similarities, two women who were arrested for kidnapping before she went missing kind of resemble the sketches of the perps (one older, one younger, thinner eyebrows on younger one). they were arrested 09/16

No it’s not new info on the threads. But it’s probably new to someone new to the 24th thread. And I can certainly use a refresher now and then. This case is so full of those great finds that it’s hard to keep track. :scared:

Thanks for reposting your mask drawings. It’s an amazing likeness and I think she fashioned her abductors after these two, not even from memory, except at the beginning. It took a whole year to release the drawings, so she could have been consulting the photos online during that time, and not even needed memory beyond the initial description. I rather think the similarity was clear to LE also.

How in the heck did she keep a bandana on with those huge earrings?

That was my number one question from the beginning of this. Try wrapping a bandana or scarf or any other piece of material around your face, covering your nose. It is not conducive at all to wearing these large hoops, and would cover a lot of your hair and ears as well. If you put the scarf underneath your hair, as shown in the sketches above, your ears will also be covered.
