Found Safe CA - Julia Kebbel, 36, Los Angeles, 31 Jan 2018

K, so where do we go from here with this? With every day that goes by, it seems less and less likely that Julia is taking time for herself, or that this has been a complete misunderstanding. She appears to be very close with her family, and she clearly has a big heart for her pets. Her sister is, or as been, promoting her newest film, it appears that usually she would be very supportive of that and her.

So, it's nearly a week and all I can think is negatively.

What could have happened here? She is off taking time for herself (as I said up above, I don't think that seems like the case) although, she is going through a divorce, so I can only imagine how hard that would be, especially as they seem to be a very lengthy one year in already.

She had an accident while out walking her dog, is injured, or worse, and hasn't been found yet. Would her dog leave her side eventually? Wander off? (I sure don't think mine would if I was down, I think she would wait with me forever) But if so, does that make it more likely that her dog would have been located by now? If she was out walking her dog at 11pm, as Katydid23 said up thread, I would think it would be for a potty break rather than a walk where she would be out in the open where she could go unnoticed. It just doesn't seem like the time for a walk like that.

Or something worse? Did someone else set that fire? Maybe it didn't go as planned and so they took or harmed Julia because the fire didn't work out as they planned? (Sick I know) Or maybe they had nothing to do with the fire, the fire was a complete coincidence and someone took or harmed Julia anyway, being completely unrelated to the fire.

I know, I'm rambling, but I'm just putting all of my thoughts out in words here. Do you know what the worst thing is? I am more inclined to think the latter.

I do hope this gal and her pup are found safe and sound and soon! :please:

I hope we don't have another Julia Jacobson situation here :(

I was thinking of that case, too: the fact that they’re both named Julia and how each went missing while with their beloved dogs. I earnestly hope for a happy outcome here, unlike Julia Jacobson.

Found this article which says the police don’t consider her disappearance suspicious. Hmmm, what does that mean? That she just voluntarily walked off? I think we need more information!

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division confirmed that a missing-person report has been filed, adding that the disappearance was not considered suspicious.

I am confused on the timeline - was she walking while the fire occurred, or seen afterwards? Julia has two cats - were they safe? Was she able to stay in the apartment despite the fire?

I sure hope that is right, but we hear this from LE too much before it turns out to have been extremely suspicious.

We don't know. And for some reason, no one who knows is talking about it either.

Kebbel attached a photo of her sister with her dog and included a description of Julia in her post: "Weighs about 105 pounds. Fair skin. Bleach blonde short hair. She has tattoos on both fore arms. She has a spiritual symbol w/ a key and the words promise on one fore arm and a blue Phoenix rising on the other."

Kebbel asked that anyone who has seen her sister, or has information about her whereabouts, message her or reach out to private investigator Russell L. Greene, whose number was listed.

I think it’s strange there hasn’t been an orchestrated search party. This girl is missing and nobody is talking about. Why? Do we know? There’s something more to this. Blaze Bernstein’s case was top news all day long. Hmmm.

Good, more info here, and it says the LAPD is asking for help locating Julia’s whereabouts.

Seems to be confusion regarding the fire at the apt. Was it before, as we heard earlier, or after, as a neighbor in this article states.

It's odd and kind of unsettling," he said of her sudden disappearance, adding that he believes there was a fire at her home the day after she went missing.

No information about a blaze at her home was confirmed by law enforcement to KTLA.

Perhaps that is why People magazine removed the reference, although in the video there is a photo of a fire truck at the bldg. maybe it couldn’t be confirmed with the fire dept?

For goodness sakes, how hard it is for LE to confirm whether or not there was a fire at her apartment and when it occurred? Does any of her neighbors recall seeing any firemen coming to her home to put out a fire?

I'm wondering if it's possible that the fire was in her building, but not her unit. If it's unrelated to her, I can understand why LE would want that removed from info about the case. Then again, would be nice for them to clarify one way or the other.

I thought, from google Maps, that her home was a house rather than an apartment building. BUT, you may be right here. Also, I don't think we have actually saw family discuss the fire directly have we? Has it all just come from MSM?

I don't know but it's making it pretty difficult to sleuth with the lack of and confusing information.

WHERE are you Julia?!

The fire broke out the day AFTER she disappeared. Her purse and cell phone were left behind. No mention of her keys.

a lot of houses in that area are broken into smaller rental units. This one looks like it is 4 separate units IMO.

and is in a different area of Silver Lake than I envisioned. Hmmm...

That's according to a neighbor, who said the fire was found in two different rooms of the apartment. It would be consistent with what someone suggested upthread, namely that the fire could have come from candles left unattended after she disappeared. If the fire was in her apartment the day after she was last seen, could it have been part of how they figured out that she'd disappeared?

I too wish the LAFD or someone would clarify when the fire occurred, whether it was indeed in her apartment, etc. The fire at that complex appears to have been too minor to make it onto the LAFD Twitter feed.

Maybe she left purse and cell phone behind because it wasn't her habit to take them when walking the dog. I'm a bit surprised she didn't take her phone, but maybe she typically carries her phone in her purse rather than in a pocket.
