You took the words right out of my mouth. The only thing I read in all of that is “I do what I want!” And in all honesty, it’s true. In her mind she’s gotten away with it.

For 23 days we have all searched, posted to SM, contacted the media, distributed flyers, worried, stressed, cried tears of sadness and hurt for an innocent child, (one that most of us haven’t met) amongst so much more. A child that had very few (not including select family that has been amazing to him), on his side, for the last 5 years. I take a different way to and from work every day to triple check areas I have already checked and will continue to do so.

TWENTY THREE DAYS MISSING. That’s the harsh reality. An innocent little boy.

Well, now that I have gotten that out of my system I will go about my regularly scheduled evening activities of homework, laundry, cleaning, enjoying my children. The things that a MOM does every single day. Even on the days she doesn’t want to.

This isn’t over. I will keep fighting the fight because I don’t give up and that is what Lucas deserves. There is a special place for people who abuse children in my book.

Sick to my stomach. Carry on. [emoji17]

You and Truman- beautiful souls, with beautifully spoken words. You speak for myself as well.

RMT953- just as there's a special place in hell for abusers, there is a special place in heaven for people like you and the rest of the wonderful locals searching for him to bring him home.

:gaah:YES from your link he also says:
"If his wife can obtain a lower bond and get out of jail, it would benefit her and their children — their daughter and Lucas, Hernandez said."
IMO he's living in LaLa land thinking it's going to benefit anyone. Especially poor Lucas:tantrum:
jmo and wish I still drank

I’m just stunned that the public is who is frustrated....
I actually quit drinking a week ago. Wondering if the money saving is worth it right now.

Not sure if this will ever become a law.... but -- my .02 is that anyone who knowingly allows a child to be abused in their home (even if THEY didn't participate in the abuse) should get the same punishment as the spouse/girlfrend/boyfriend /significant other.
Every case is different and I understand that.

This also brings back some memories of Lisa Irwins' and Ayla Reynolds' cases. A child or baby goes 'missing' while the adult caregiver is "sleeping".
Almost never happens that a little one is snatched by a stranger --esp. one who would have to go into the house.

Some states have laws against allowing child abuse to happen. The result seems to be that battered, minority, women in particular can be sentenced to more time than the actual abuser.

Abusive relationships are not black and white. I don't know how I feel about any of it, but I don't ever think a nonabusive parent should ever ever serve more time than the abuser. No way.

A little about El Dorado Lake State Park
It is monitored and patrolled by the Ks wildlife Parks and Tourism Park Rangers. They take this job VERY seriously. The park gets its highest numbers of visitors between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
You have to pay to enter the park, either obtaining a day pass at the gate or purchasing a year pass when you renew your vehicle tags. The gates are manned most of the time. When one of the gates isn’t manned, they either close the gate temporarily or they have a lockbox and passes located in the information booth to the side of the gate. If you don’t pay or get a pass, the park rangers will firmly escort you back to pay or they will firmly escort you out of the park. They patrol for traffic violations on road and off road, and in the water for boating violations. They check for proper payment and displaying of campsite authorizations too. They check for underage drinking. They will even tell people having happy fun sparky time in the park -as someone put it earlier- to find a tent or a room. They also will deter and cite people for defacing things in the park or teasing bothering wildlife. They check for fishing licenses too. I have seen many of these firsthand and heard many tales of others. In the summer we go every other week for 3-4 days and camp. They as I said above take their jobs very seriously.

This time of the year you can go in and out of the lake without paying. I've been out there several weekends now searching and have never had to pay. I've never even seen a park ranger. I'm sure they take their job seriously but February at the lake, pretty scarce on people out there. Now that it's March and getting nice out there have been more people out there. Lots of people Saturday at the rock quarry fishing. Lots of people at the North end by Chelsea fishing. If he's out there, he might be found soon with all the traffic.

This my first case and want to thank all of you that are physically searching. I don’t know how some of you that been on here a long time do it. I go between crying and wanting to do violence to them. I pray and pray that this doesn’t cold with no justice. Iam posting and emailing more flier tonight

I'm thinking about the stunning news .. JH welcoming EG home if she makes it out. I had a hard time grasping this..how could he? Is he totally oblivious? Is he complicit? I tried to think, 'what if?' So, what if JH (whom I personally do believe really loves his son) is in a place of denial? Is that possible? I mean, I'm thinking about his cutting off his relationship with relatives due to the abuse allegations last year. I could well be wrong, but his little family, two kids and Emily..his whole life? At the moment that life is all shattered, his son is missing, his daughter taken by the state, his girlfriend in jail..it would all be a lot to grasp. So, he could be in denial, and if he admits to himself what appears evident to most of us, he might just shatter. Could that be why he is standing at the ready for her?

Maybe it's me that's in denial..I just cannot fathom the alternative. :(

SABBM

Not 'more time'... maybe SOME time.
Thinking about some specific cases. And like I stated.. every case is different.

I think Lucas was failed by the adults in his life-- with exception of those who tried to raise the alarm-- and were forbidden from contact with Lucas by BOTH JH and EG.
There is no excuse for that. None.

http://www.kake.com/story/37706501/lucas-hernandez-step-mother-asks-for-bond-reduction

EG lawyer appears to be private....Julia A Leth-Perez, Cameron and Herman PA, 1020 N. Main St, Wichita, KS

The above will lead you to the link which provides the paper work to Modify Bond Reduction. The hearing is March 16,2018 at 9am.

There are several points brought up which I can see that could be argued.

IMO

1) both parties say they are married and then say they are not....girlfriend, wife, fiancé, etc....so that will have to be decided what is what

2) EG ex has filed in Butler County about physical abuse the boys belonging to him and EG received....so that is up for discussion because EG has certain criteria she needs to follow to see her boys....This was all posted some days back here on WS.

3) She will not automatically get the little one back as she is in state care....why does the dad not have custody by now?

4) if EG can pay or her family can pay for a private attorney why can she not pay for her bond?

5) like to know when she hired this attorney

6) IF she is let out, she needs an ankle monitor

7) I thought I read that EG kicked out JH of the house so how can they be living together

goodness we can go on and on and on with questions....

I hope Tim Miller can find Lucas.

The link below shows that EG has anger issues....which brings many other questions

What leads you to believe she’s been privately retained?

There shouldn’t be a lynch-mob mentality against his wife, he said.

”I realize it’s frustrating for the public not to know” what happened to Lucas, he said.

:thud:

Wow.

Yes! I am stunned. I'm telling myself that maybe by taking her back he's subconsciously trying to keep himself for having to feel guilt for having introduced her into Lucas' life. And if she didn't 'do it' then maybe he's still alive out there, and maybe taking her back is a way to keep his hope up and not face the worst case scenario? And if he wants his daughter back, and he works out of town, then who would look after her while he's working?

But I'd love to be a fly on the wall if she goes back to that house. Will there be any areas of the house she gets edgy and paranoid over? Does she avoid a particular room? Does she keep cleaning a certain area over and over? And what are the conversations between EG and JH going to look like?

Doesn't he reduce his chances of regaining custody of his daughter by having her move back in?

Oh man, this made me chuckle in shared commiseration. I also just quit drinking about a week ago. But today is sorely testing me. I'm really upset about this latest development. Gonna go make a fancy coffee with whipped cream instead. :grouphug:

Yeah, that quote is something. Does he know? 'cause that quote sounds like he does.

I hate this very very much.

I'm interpreting your post to mean "does he strongly suspect?"

Surely LE and the FBI have told him the most likely outcome? And they've told him the same thing they told us, that they don't think Lucas wandered off or was abducted.

It is possible he just wants to talk to her and observe her. Maybe?

I too am really taken aback - I mean the whole entire statement of his is...something else - but especially by the part about how it must be frustrating for the public not to know where Lucas is. The public? Frustrated? I’m going to sit on my hands before I get a timeout.

If I was JH and EG came home I would be locked up for life. I know it’s wrong, but that’s what would happen.
