A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in the death of a missing 98-year-old Ohio woman who was found dead in her closet.

Margaret Douglas was reported missing from her home in Wadsworth earlier this month. After the initial call, officers did a walk-through of her home but didn't see any evidence of foul play. During a second sweep, however, investigators found her body concealed under clothing and other items.

“The Beacon Journal, which usually does not name juveniles charged in crimes, is choosing to name Ramsay because of the seriousness of the allegations. He faces murder, burglary and abuse of a corpse charges, all felonies, in the death of Margaret Frick Douglas, a widow who was killed in the gray-sided house on Portage Street where she had lived since at least 1958.”

I doubt she knew him or trusted him. He lived in the neighborhood and is suspected of petty crimes such as breaking into cars. So I am guessing that the suspect decided to rob the house and she got in the way.

Oh, I definitely have so much sympathy for her and herfamily as well. I didn't mean for my comment to come off that way. I have teenagers and just can't imagine if one of them did something so horrendous. That's where my comment stemmed from. I did not mean any disrespect to Margaret or her family whatsoever. The whole situation just makes me feel sick.

I would think that he has been in trouble before makes it extremely likwly that he will be charged as an adult. I would hope that he would be charged as an adult regardless...

Judge rules teen suspected in 98-year-old woman's killing can be tried as an adult

"MEDINA— Gavon Ramsay, the 17-year-old juvenile accused of murdering 98-year-old Wadsworth resident Margaret Douglas last month, will be tried as an adult in Medina County Common Pleas Court.

“We are here today for a probable cause hearing and transfer hearing for purposes of a bindover and transfer to the adult court,” Medina County Juvenile Court Judge Kevin Dunn said during the Wednesday morning hearing.
Ramsay faces charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary and abuse of a corpse.

In addition to determining that Ramsay met the necessary statutory factors to be tried as an adult, Dunn also set Ramsay’s bond at $1million...."
