I'm no doctor, and one couldn't diagnose over TV anyway, but I'll be shocked if CW isn't somewhere on the antisocial spectrum and they make excellent actors.

That's what I find so scary about some comments defending him - I don't worry about the case, LE seems confident in their findings, but if people really think this guy just "snapped" and was suddenly capable of murder and dumping innocent babies in oil we'll just keep having SW's and Laci Peterson's. They should really teach a course in highschool.

What's interesting is that in Colorado they have the option of charging him with first degree AND lesser includeds line second degree and voluntary manslaughter.

(In Colorado second degree is without deliberation but knowingly. Which includes heat of passion cases . Voluntary manslaughter there is more accidental killings. "Reckless".)

But the DA did not charge any lesser includeds.

That tells me that indeed, they feel very confident.

I take comfort in the fact that this DA is handling the case. He is a steely-eyed, no nonsense, determined, decisive and logical person. On multiple occasions news reporters tried to bait him into displaying some sort of emotion over this case that involves the murder of little girls. He refused to take the bait, even as the family stood by. He said he would work the case the same as any other.

He didn't flinch when Shanann's dad broke down sobbing right behind him in court.

This is someone who is able to assess a case, IMO, on the facts and the law. Not on emotion or politics.

Just like he "makes a thing" about the garage door being unlocked, saying that is normal. Really? His response was to the question about whether the house was locked. He over-explains and adds unnecessary details. Just a hunch, but he is offering this information (every light in the house on) as an excuse. Why was every light on? Probably because he was going through the house with a fine-toothed comb. JMO



In addition to having to work the next day, Shanann told him (according to him) that she was going to a friend's. If she was leaving him, and we don't know that, so - emphasis on "if," his opportunity diminishes.

b) He got the heeby-jeebies. He didn't think he would feel so bad and needed all the lights on if he was there on his own where he hours later strangled them all. Not remorse but dread fear.

If it's b, it is the only part that makes me question my assumptions on him, so far.

I noticed that he took a couple of deep breaths when the charge was read for murdering SW...I wonder why ? Perhaps because she fought harder or he thought of the baby.... I don't think he took deep breaths when the charges were read about the children, could have missed it.......I think that I would have become hysterical when the felony charges were read for "a child murdered under the age of 12 by a person of trust"....I teared up just hearing that....I believe that the prison has him sedated , his physical appearance has changed so much since his interviews....

I know I've mentioned the possibility a few times, myself, but I struggle with the reasoning why he would kill the kids beforehand. Anyway I think the GPS would tell the tale of 2 trips??? Unless he knew how to disable it. So I have a hard time explaining why he would kill the kids first, unless he snapped at the ruckus they caused, but I do think he had researched the ideal burying spot and knew that (???) the tanks were not currently in use, or that to fill and empty them it was not necessary to look inside. (IMO)

I know! He had to of planned burying them there. Like Peterson made cement anchors ahead of time. IMO once a narsisst cheater is about to be confronted ,you are pretty much dead to them, because being exposed is the ultimate wound to them. The mask is about to be ripped off. Remember Scott said Laci knew about his affair & she was fine with it.I think that his lie held the truth. That’s why he killed her & Conner.
Because he knew she would expose him, cast him out, change his life style.
Just as someone said CWs description of the blue child on the bed & the strangling of the other- was what he did. These people are sick and enjoy an audience. They will go to the grave clamming they are the innocent victim. And I hate that excuse snapped..because why would you not call the police & say I snapped, I killed my wife. Only a selfish evil person would create a false narrative , no remorse , no empathy and hide the bodies to decay whilst letting the family & community console them . Monsters.

CW lied and obstructed from the moment NU called CW. He lied to LE, family, friends, and the public. He lied until he confessed. And we are supposed to believe he is suddenly telling the truth? SMH.

Apparently, yes. He was a loving dad the whole time and just snapped at the sight of his wife killing his kids. And then he got a good night's sleep and gave well-rested, calm and dry -eyed interviews in which he lied through his teeth.

Here is what a supposedly distraught, grieving father who just lost his mind and throttled his wife to death after she murdered his precious baby girls, looks like, a couple days after tossing them in vats of oil, while discussing their whereabouts.

From what another proposed in an earlier thread, maybe he spaced them out into 2 tanks because they would be less likely to stop up drains. Can't believe that was his decision, and I think it had to be researched beforehand. Does anyone know if they were in bags?

I was wondering that too. Weren't the tanks holding hot crude oil that would melt the garbage bags so they would be totally adhered to the bodies? It seems like lots of forensic evidence would be lost or contaminated.

Since it was at a daycare center, I think that they could “start” any day they wanted. I personally think it was just their first day back after being gone with their mom. Daycare centers that have “preschool” may have a bit of curriculum they do in terms of crafts and things they learn together, but most of the time the kids are there is just typical daycare. My daughter was in one for awhile and it was open 11 hours a day. They only did preschool activities for 2-3 hours andah.

He knows cameras are on him. He's planting seeds of doubt- he just had to kill SW she was murdering his babies!

Don't fall for it. SW did not strangle those babies and he's only feeling remorse for himself.

So based on information in prior threads regarding square footage and bedrooms in their home, this is the home that I "think" they actually have. Everything matches up. This is the builders website. Doing a quick google search by the floor plan name will take you to other subdivisions and show you the floor plans.

My daughter takes mood stabilizers and other meds due to autism and several other diagnoses. I doubt CW is sedated. He doesn't appear to me to be... at least not by any sort of anti-psychotic drug. Other sedation drugs he would probably be fairly out of it. When they were adjusting my daughter's meds, and the dose was too high, she would just sit with a blank expression half the time and her mouth wide open.

I'm sorry for saying this without links, there are definitely articles on the subject you can look up if you're interested, and if they don't back up what I'm saying then absolutely tell me I'm wrong.

Cadaver dogs are a particular specialty of scent dogs. There are a lot of things dogs can be trained to sniff out..drugs, blood, then scent of one particular human, or cadavers (maybe other things I can't think of?).

Each dog has to be trained in its specialty by a handler. So one dog won't usually be able to do *all* these things, it's usually a tight specialization. Though I will caveat that by saying I'm talking more about blood or cadaver dogs with that tight specialization, it's usually one dog for cadaver scent, another dog for blood scent, another dog for tracking a human across spaces. I don't know anything about the drug-sniffing type of specialties, so I am not commenting on them.

Cadaver dogs do not sniff blood. They have a way to tell the scent of 'death', and studies have shown that they can pick up this scent if a body has been in situ for as little as two minutes, but much higher success rate when it goes up to ten minutes.

The scent the cadaver dogs pick up on is known as "cadaverine", and again it has nothing to do with blood.

The dogs I saw in the video had "search and rescue" on their vests. Do we know if they just brought in cadaver dogs right under that 's nose as he stood smiling in the porch?

Has it been confirmed that the oil was hot? If not, one of the forensic specialists that was on HLN said the oil would actually embalm (preserve) the bodies rather than deteriorate them. I hope that's the case and that CW didn't realize that. I think it took LE a while to get into those tanks because they are not very accessible so I also hope that he visited that site recently to prepare it (proving premeditation).

I can’t find Dates of HMO docs signed to add to this there was mother’s day , Father’s Day , some birthdays .
IMO she was a rockstar ! I’m looking at her meal prepping and doing her business and a perfectly clean home ! She said she was OCD order came easy for her . IMO it may not for Chris working 40 hours a week , taking more duties with the kids and home . IMO he may have thought this job would allow her to stay at home bc of her lupus and be with kids and now money is still tight and they never see each other and he is super stressed bc he can’t do what she makes look easy. It will be telling when affairs started . He wasn’t wearing ring in pregnancy video . To me he was exhausted and numb . The baby now is his responsibility at home bc she is stellar and will be traveling for work . He mentions the high energy of his daughter , he is unraveling. He knows they have HOA and a trip to Cabo she just won . The affair was an escape that made him feel valued again plus looking better he want used to the attention he “had no game” . I am not sure of the trigger it could be a number of things but I feel he snapped this was not planned . I think it’s inconceivable what he did and inexcusable but everyone noticed a change I believe it wasn’t only the affair . IMO

This is my first post on here, so I hope I don't mess anything up!

From what I understand, as covered in this article and other studies https://phys.org/news/2013-08-characteristics-family-killers-revealed-taxonomy.html, the timing of him killing the family on an August weekend is almost textbook family annihilator behavior. 1 in 5 of these cases happen in August and nearly half happen on a weekend. I imagine some of it is connected with school routines not being in session.

*The debt with the HOA, the impending court date... WHY was the debt there? Was the BR in 2015 not sufficient to get them back on their feet? The bank account balances referred to in previous threads (IIR under $1000 in checking, under $10 in savings - but WHEN were those the balances, and are there other accounts?) Overall decreased annual income (also posted in prior threads per financial docs from over $100k to much less later. I don't recall amounts. Just speaking in generalities and speculation). Could the impending HOA debt court date have spurred CW into this?

*The affair. My personal guess is there were multiple affairs. No evidence for that, but I was married to a cheater. The cheater I was married to very much wanted to keep his family, but he still ran around. Idk his reasons. CW could've wanted his family and loved his wife, but was selfish enough to still cheat for his own ego. Don't we hear about mistresses being killed when they threaten to tell the wife? If someone can kill a mistress to keep his family intact, couldn't a man also kill his wife and kids because of a family breakup caused by his own infidelity? The article says that family breakup is a big reason for family annihilation.

*Per NU, SW texted she'd need a friend more than ever. If she knew about the affair, it may have been too painful for her to keep it in when she got home. If she confronted CW when she got home, then he could've been faced with a possibility of family breakup
