Two more arrested in murder of Newport baby

Three people are facing charges in connection to the case of a missing Wayne County infant.

On February 8th, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation concerning a missing child, 7 month old Jonathon Michael Kaceyn Clements.

The detectives assigned to the case began by identifying the close associates of the infant’s mother, 27yr old Kayla Rebecca Ann Clements.

The investigation led the detectives to believe that Jonathon Michael Kaceyn Clements was last seen in Wayne County in October of 2016 and had suffered an injury during this same time.

The investigation has led the detectives to conclude that the child died as a result of that injury. As the date of this press release, his body has not been located. Three people, including Kayla Rebecca Ann Clements, have been arrested in the case.

The investigation is continuing.

The boy's mother, Kaylay Rebecca Ann Clements, is charged with felony counts of failure to report the disappearance of a child and concealment of a death of a child. She's jailed on a $75,000 bond. It's not known if she has an attorney.

Two men were also arrested and charged with concealment of a death of a child.

2/18/18 LE began investigation concerning a missing child when father filed missing report & believe he suffered injuries resulting in his death.
*Phillip Joseph Goff (32) arrested & charged (5/7/18) with felony concealment of death of a child (Class D felony). $10K bond.
*Karl David Colt (48) arrested & charged (7/13/18) with felony concealment of death of a child (Class D felony). $5K bond.
