The store of purchase would be identifiable. If they could get to the store cam hard drives before they are overwritten they might have a chance.

12:31 was the time of 2 shots heard. She had said 12:38. LE found her clock was 7 minutes fast. I deal with people in crisis all the time. She is human. Go by the early reports to LE.

Has the time the neighbor heard shots been reported by LE? I ask because I kept reading that the neighbor said she was told by LE that her clock was "off by 7 minutes" - maybe they didn't tell her which way it was off? Maybe it was really 12:45, instead of the 12:31?

I have been reading from the beginning (every post!) but I am terrible at searching so would appreciate anyone that can confirm whether LE reported the time neighbors heard shots. Thanks!

Stands to reason they heard other voices as well, right?

Could be. Maybe the perp was heard giving orders or even the parents crying out.

Ugh this just gave me the chills. When I looked up James Closs, a Georgia phone number came up as associated to him. Albany, GA. Mobile number. He hasn’t lived there from what I can see, so I chalked it up to a metadata mistake in the program, but...

Around the year 2000, cellular companies started to charge to change your number when you moved to another state. I was a frequent business traveler and would change my phone number in most cities in which I was working. When they started charging for changing your number, I never changed my number. Look for him residing in Georgia prior to 2001. Just a thought

It's been pretty consistent that it was 12:31. But I had thought the time might be off too.

Right, but did he borrow enough to make a coworker come and kick in the front door and slaughter his family?

I'd think Dad would find a way to repay him before that happened---especially since he had a lot of equity available in the home that he could access.

Everyone else carrying stuff out is wearing bright purple gloves. I don't see that on the one with the suitcase. Since it is a medical examiner carrying that out, perhaps it isn't evidence from the scene but it is her bag with whatever she needs for her job.

Agree no legit casino engages in said behaviors.

I will reply to this as delicately and respectfully as possible....
Sometimes due to the nature of the injuries it is obvious that CPR is not needed. The police officers that I know have all been trained to check for a pulse. It was probably clear to them that the victims were deceased, especially if they were shot in the head or through the heart. Some injuries cause immediate death. Even 4 minutes is way too late.
I feel so bad for their families, their friends, the police officers and the community. Such anguish is hard to endure.

Sheriff: Missing girl at home when parents were shot to death
According to this article the extended family says that the door was shot in. I'm wondering whether the shots the neighbors heard were the ones outside, and maybe they didn't hear the fatal gunshots that would have been inside the home. So chilling.

Also says the Shorts' phone line was cut before they were shot, and LE has said in this case that the 911 operator tried to call the land line but it had been "disconnected". I don't know if "disconnected" means the Closs' had their own line disconnected, or if it was disconnected the night of the murders.

JMO.

If the line was cut, I think it would just ring and ring and ring. I think the disconnected message more than likely means they cancelled their landline. JMO
