I tend to believe it depends on where the W’s entered Dana’s when it comes to which rooms they had to look for. Jr’s room was immediately to the right of the front door upon entering the house. Now, if they entered the home from the back dining room door, they would have been closest to HMR’s room upon entry. Then walking through the dining room to the kitchen, Dana’s room would have been to the right off of the kitchen. Juniors room would have been through the dining room, into the kitchen, across the living room and past the front door-IF they entered through the back of house.
Just adding, Dewine said in the presser that the W’s studied the layouts of each home as well as learning and knowing where each victim slept. I don’t believe the W’s had to do much looking around once inside the homes.

Scared of OK. Ex wife from there. Also, my luck would get pulled over between Red River and Gainesville. Been pulled over a few times there after leaving that big ole casino a mile down road.

O/T It may be because the casinos serve liquor?

But if you have a medical prescription from a Dr. here you can have it in your car. You can legally have up to 4 ounces of MJ in your car or on your person even if you don't have a prescription on you. All you have to do is tell LE you need it for some medical purpose. You can tell them it's for a hangnail and they have to accept that. Or that's the way I read the law on it.

I’m not sure your location, BUT dispensaries sell seedlings. And seeds. It all depends though on the law of your local land if you’re able to purchase them yourself.

O/T Ok. So I have to wait for them to get the one set up just outside of town here. Let's just hope that the clerks in the place know something about it.

Ahh yes, I never even considered that. I also know nothing about brass catchers, but is it possible for them to be jarred lose, say if there was a struggle over a gun, thus casing casings to spill?

If one of the catchers got a tear, absolutely. Maybe they didn't make one quite as well, and there were more casings that we don't know about, too.

I still have so many questions and unfortunately I struggle with the patience attribute from time to time. So, with that said, I’m just going to post them.

What would the W’s had done if HHG had left that night, like she had stated earlier in the day on her fb? Would they have killed more people to eliminate her as well?

What would the W’s had done if B woke up and saw one of them?

Why did the W’s tamper with some of the victims phones after murdering them? Is it because the W’s had messaged certain victims earlier in the night? Or did the some of the victims try to message someone on their phone when they realized what was happening (ie CRjr)?

Did the W’s use S as a ploy to gain entry into any of the homes?

Who arrived at Chris’ house while he was awake and made him aware that they were there, but he didn’t arm himself? If it was BW, wouldn’t Chris have felt threatened by seeing him and grabbed his gun? Could it have been someone less physically threatening, such as JW or AW that Chris initially saw and he didn’t feel the need to arm himself?

Is it possible JM was being tracked not because he was a witness but because he figured out who killed his family and he was going to go after them (understandably)? Was all of that, the GPS, for JM’s own protection?

Who is the CI? And will we be able to find out who the CI is since FW’s lawyer requested the criminal history of the CI?

And lastly, how in the h-e-double hockey sticks did the R’s and W’s meet if Billy only has a 7th grade education? I can’t imagine any school friendship was maintained from that age, if Billy even went to school at all and wasn’t homeschooled by FW.

Please ignore any typos. WS still changes my words on me :p silly auto correct

You are correct. What Dewine doesn’t say is what and who the undercurrent of drugs pertains to and what kind of drugs. Is he referencing the MJ grows? I personally don’t think so because when Reader said he’s hoped we’d all had forgotten about the MJ by now and focused on the murders (paraphrasing but I will find his exact words later). So, with Reader indirectly saying the MJ isn’t a factor and Dewine repeatedly expressing these people were victims murdered in cold blood, how do we assume the R’s were involved in the “undercurrent of drugs” statement by Dewine? How do we know Dewine wasn’t referencing the Wagner’s and only the Wagner’s being involved in an undercurrent of drugs? Could that be part of the motive, the R’s knowing or discovering the W’s were involved in the drug world and the R’s would use that as evidence to retain custody of S? I’d suggest some deep research in regards to AW’s now deceased father. IMO, that sounds like his area of expertise that Dewine was referencing. JMO and of course, once again only theory.

It’s in the Q&A at the end of the presser. Dewine was trying to find suitable words to characterize the drugs and said “there was an undercurrent of drugs” 2 or 3 times

I found it. I still never found where Dewine said the victims were involved in an undercurrent of drugs. Here’s my take. It doesn’t mean I’m saying my interpretation is right, it’s just how I rationalized it.

I have been thinking about getting a plant and trying to grow it in my house. I can legally have 6 plants so one shouldn't be a stretch, although they are already opening up a pharmacy to sell MJ even here in my small town. But I want to try to grow one just to see what it looks like and see if I can do it. It will probably go the way of every other plant I have ever owned, dead before it reaches it's prime. But I first have to find out where I can buy a plant to grow. Then I am going to depend heavily on some posters on here for advice it you are all willing.

JMO

It's not really difficult to grow, weed is, after all, only a weed. Now, getting a high quality thc content, that's another thing. ;)

It's a learning process, Dudly. I was a teen in the early 1970's. We all smoked it back then and remember the outcome process well. Therefore, when it came back into light after the opioid crisis early on that pot was back in, I wondered HOW peers my age were wanting to deal with all that again (eating everything in sight, laughing, then sleep for 10 hours.) It wasn't till a few years later my brother got into growing/smoking it; NOT medical pot, though. THEN came along medical pot. I then read up to inform myself better. HUGE difference. Medical pot growers won't accept pot with bugs, mold, carcinogens, etc. Additionally, NO THC!!! It's strictly medical, one doesn't get high. Big downside with typical physicians is the "smoking" of a product. We all know it's bad for the lungs. Sure, there are edibles, but I've not gone to far digging on those to not accurately to state anything.

Medical Marijuana can get you high, and there are strains that won't get you high, too. I've a friend who raises only male plants, for the end product, called Charlotte's Web. It's for children, so there can only be smidge of THC, or their entire crop will be eradicated (by individuals who come to inspect their grows). CBD is what they strive for.

Very interesting. I've not followed all these developments since legalization, but can imagine there's a massive amount of demand for scientific research and development that wasn't (and still isn't in some cases) allowed. One of the key arguments always used in promoting legalization is the ability to regulate and control THC content.

Usenet lol alt 2600 area was my hangout. Remember it was free from your provider. Innovative at time. Speaking of innovative DeWine said they used new innovative techniques to help solve this crime. Electronic or forensic?

Oh, you remember yours! I cannot for the life of me remember mine. Dialed in with what is now a big dinosaur.

I think that is going to be the footwork at the local LE level, combined with BCI, who likely has some pretty nifty techie/electronic tools, at their disposal.

Just a couple additional details I noted while rewatching -

Dewine stated there is no evidence the murders are drug related in the sense of motive.

Reader stated the victims deserve more respect because regardless of what was found and/or aerial views, they are victims of a heinous crime never seen before.

That's why I go to Colorado.

Well Norm you can make a stop in Oklahoma now. We just got a very liberal medical MJ law that let's us all stay high legally. LOL.

I won't trust the state measures til the Feds release it from being on the Sched 1. The feds seem to be leaving the states alone, but that could change anytime they choose, and if they do choose, a lot of folks could feel some major hurt. Do I agree with the Feds classification? No. I use it myself. Do the Feds care that I disagree with them? NO.

Under federal law, cannabis is treated like every other controlled substance, such as cocaine and heroin. The federal government places every controlled substance in a schedule, in principle according to its relative potential for abuse and medicinal value. Under the CSA, cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug, which means that the federal government views cannabis as highly addictive and having no medical value. Doctors may not "prescribe" cannabis for medical use under federal law, though they can "recommend" its use under the First Amendment.

Thanks for posting that. I heard it, too. RSD posted the full quote a couple pages back. We should bookmark it, because, with the gag order, we're back to having precious little info to work with.

Personally, I also think drugs were in the undercurrent of this whole situation. It's possible the W's and others were involved in trafficking hard drugs. CR1 was only growing MJ, or DeWine would have said something.

JMO, in the escalating custody battle, CR1 threatened to expose the Wags drug connections/activities, thus the need to take down CR1, GR, KR and any other Rhoden family members who might talk later. DeWine didn't want to bring the drug charges into the murder prosecutions because:

  • it would just complicate matters
  • it might reveal unflattering things about powerful people in the area
But, yeah, another reason to sweep it under the rug. Remember, Leonard said that police had been covering up this stuff for years. Now we know he was referring to the Wags, but possibly someone else.

Remember my earlier link about one of the defense attorneys who was busted for smoking pot in 2012 and got off with some maneuvering by a crooked judge down in Portsmouth.

Judge alters routine to toss out drug case, seal record

"Portsmouth Municipal Court Judge Russell D. Kegley came in early on July 11, despite being on vacation, to handle a drug-abuse case against lawyer Richard M. Nash Jr. Moving the arraignment from its scheduled time of 9 a.m. to 8:31 a.m., Kegley dismissed the charge - without a prosecutor present - at an hour the court typically does not conduct hearings, a Dispatch investigation found. Kegley also quickly granted Nash’s motion to seal the records in the case alleging that he smoked marijuana, making the case vanish both online and from the court’s files."

Richard M Nash is George Wagner IV's defense attorney. They one who aregued for bail. JMO, you can't throw a rock in that region without hitting someone who isn't involved in the drug biz.

DeWine mentions the "undercurrent" but he also says there won't be any more arrests. JMO, they want these prosecutions to be focused on a custody battle and bury the rest. What's in the "undercurrent" will stay in the "undercurrent", at least until after 2020 or 2022. DeWine and Fran should be in the nursing home by then.

If I'm growing weed, I'm not going to threaten to take down another person's drug setup. That would not be in my best interests. CR1 would be smarter than that.
