I hope the “absolutely a possibility” means they have info she may be alive, I pray.

Only thing I could read into that is the perp is a loon who is holding her against her will. She has been missing three weeks! What is the end result of that? Do criminals ever think things through?

I tried to take a break after the Watts case because it was truly draining, but now I'm hooked on this and it has taken me days to catch up; it's moving fast.

I just want to say that I'm quite stunned at the insinuations that the police haven't done everything in their power and have sort of just sat on any info they've had thus far. What is the basis for this? Because they didn't have probable cause to search the property until now? That's not THEIR choice. They have to have enough to get a judge to sign off on it. It's a high threshold and a 4th Amendment violation that will result in the inadmissibility of potentially imperative evidence needed for a conviction. Why would they risk that??

The FBI and CBI were called in to this tiny town to help. It seems that the local police know they need the outside help and haven't closed ranks or tried to keep it to themselves as we sometimes see. They clearly want to utilize any and every resource available to them to try and get to the bottom of this.

Please, if there are questions about the criminal/legal aspects of this case, ask! I'm an open book. I will do my best to help, even though these threads are moving fast.

I have every ounce of faith in law enforcement here.

If his cell phone was home November 22-25, I’d be very curious to know how long after receiving the text “from” Kelsey was it viewed? My guess would be about 12 hours later...

This is the evidence of a setup that is impossible to avoid by yourself.

We've been shocked or sickened by spouses/significant others who pretend to care when they are in fact guilty. But....this fiance doesn't seem to care at all. I don't recall ever seeing someone who displays such a cold demeanor about a missing person.

That is exactly the impression I got of him from the encounter with reporter at his property gate. One cold fish. I am sure that his mother adores the grandchild.

I do have children. And yes, please. Gladly. If someone wants them for a day, take them.

A lot of this is based on KB being primary custodian. She may not have been. She may not be the "ideal" parent everyone is wanting her to be. I've met plenty of mothers who are unconcerned as all get out about their children, the less time with them, the better.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the hoof beats are coming from horses. But there may be a zebra or two in that pack.

I was widowed, I cannot tell you the number of times I wished I was divorced so that I would have someone to ship the kids to! But, alas, it was me and only me. Poor babies!

Speaking for myself, the only clue I have that things didn’t move faster is — wouldn’t PF (probably) have lawyered up faster if he was being seriously questioned in that window of time? How many days after she was reported missing was the PC/did he hire an attorney and was that time span indicative of a normal (pace) investigation?

How do you know he wasn't talking to an attorney the very first week? I suspect he was. JMO

The Police Chief said the search could take several days.I am just curious, when they remove a person from their property for that long, what happens to the animals there? Does someone assume the care and feeding? I saw horses, a dog, obviously a lot of cattle outside.

That’s a good question! I could see them getting PF to write down instructions on the what/where/when/how of the feeding and care, and they would assign officers to follow those instructions. Another less likely option might be bringing PF (or a relative) back on the property with an escort and letting him take care of things under their watchful eyes. One thing I’m pretty sure of is that they wouldn’t let the animals go untended for 3 days.

Watching the candle vigil video, not one person talking to media actually knew KB. I believe the odds that KB, who left her vehicles parked at her townhome, traveled away with anybody else but PF, are pretty slim. MOO

If PF was gone during the period in question, I am sure somebody took care of the animals during his absence (if, in fact, he was gone).

Thanks for this. I do think I read he had hired a high powered criminal attorney so the attorney is doing his job to protect his client. Makes you sick, but that's our system. Right?

I certainly don’t, I don’t know anything about what’s happening behind the scenes - as it should be.

That would be even more alarming, if it were the case. If the text had ostensibly convinced him nothing was wrong, he would have had no reason to clam up then. Edit for clarity

is there a video somewhere or a link where I could see him speaking to the reporter? I thought I read that he wasn't speaking to reporters.

True, Sadly very rarely do they think things through.

I guess trying to remain optimistic and think PF has a crazy lover that has her held hostage somewhere and he is covering for her and/or helping her.

His mom wouldn’t necessarily have to be away in order for something nefarious to have occurred.

In fact, I think that if he is involved, his mom would have provided him with the childcare he would have needed in order to commit this crime (if it is one) and potentially commit a coverup.

She didn’t even have to know that she was helping him conceal a crime.

“Mom, I have things to do, will you watch the baby for a while?”

Parents will protect their children at all costs (IMO).

Are you saying when your child was one years old you were looking to bail on him/her on thanksgiving? I think I suck as a parent and that has never crossed my mind.

Honestly, for a holiday that to me is not a highly important one, yes. If I know my child is safe, I wouldn't much care.

That's just me. I also have a bunch of crazy active boys, who by 15 months are already plotting world destruction, so if I had a break from that, I'd take it.
