of course it's important.. if you review all the early threads, maps, photographs, sewer systems, rivers, lakes, building interiors.. near buildings and far buildings...the building site across the street that he passed every day en route to his gym... we did all we could ...
We examined that car inside out and upside down, we superimposed images of car interior, we investigated the possibility that he was not alone. It is quite possible he was not alone... We measured shadows, time of day, blew up car pics from actual scene, deciphered shadows, possibly inaccurately, but we tried. We have nothing new to go on, we were running on empty right from the outset.
Some of us explored the dark web, because we wanted to examine the road less travelled. we searched okay, some people physically searched, some called police about suspicions we had raised.
And even though we were unsuccessful, it was not for the want of trying. We put our hearts and souls into it, right from the very first day she went missing... maps of streets were put up, distances between points, I doubt the feds put in half as much effort and hours than we did here.
Half a tank of petrol was missing but as webthrush said, he could have refilled. We had long discussions regarding gps on that particular car model, I cannot remember how that was clarified, but I remember a lot . This dude had it made, got married and opened his marriage, got kinky, and that is not a judgment, he did. And he appeared to have a series of enablers in his circle. We know of two, possibly both women were inadvertent enablers. He liked power and he liked control.
What we do not know and what we were unable to find was any trace of other friends or contacts he had that possibly assisted him in the kidnapping and whatever followed. Had he contacts among traffickers? We do not know. We searched but we could not find, but that is not the same as saying he acted alone either. this case is as open now as it was at the beginning. Also his sexual tastes are no way to decipher what he might have done with her.

The dark web was not thoroughly explored, that is something that could be searched again, his emails and dob are public info.
To search again, I suggest we pull up the very first few threads on this, awesome work.

I've gone back to work full time since last month, BUT I have always believed he would've headed straight out of town on Springfield (route 10) and headed west until he hit Clinton lake. I think she could be there. It would prob take about a 1/2 tank of gas to go there and back too.... the only thing between Stonegate apartments and the edge of town is El Toro Bravo restaurant set quite a ways back from the road, if there is El Toro video, it prob doesn't reach as far as the road.

What's the distance approximately, Mommit? Was that lake searched , do you remember? Or to what extent was that lake searched to be more precise? Think , if he killed her he knew in advance how he would dispose of the body...

It is just over 30 miles to get there, but then you might drive around it a little bit.. That lake, or the woods around it, was not searched that I am aware of, possibly searched but unreleased to the public. I think it is just close enough that he could've easily scoped it out as a possible dump sight in advance of his crime, gone for a few afternoon drives down the road...

I WAS, I am less so now, I was over-involved to the extent that I was using all kinds of skills. I got tired, I got frustrated.. I hate the whole legal process, it bores me and feels too remote from the crime that has been committed. Especially when she was never found and no search parties sent out.
Who knows, maybe now the fBI would assist in a further search for her... now would be a good time to hit them up on this. First maybe try talking to any of her friends at the college, that's what I'd be doing...it's possible they know more/ Get a 'feel' for whether they would consider another search to be appropriate.
I had always been of the opinion that he had dumped her locally, within walking distance of his apartment, still alive, as his slave, convenient plaything, but he needed money badly so he possibly had a financial motive here as well as cruelty.
i've reframed it a million times in a million scenarios, I think possibly they ceased searching locally because they received the piece of information about his petrol usage at a very early stage.
Then again, he could have driven around with her alive or he could have put her somewhere with his horrible book and some food rations to keep her alive... so another physical thorough search of the local area is probably worthwhile as well.
He could also have killed her, buried her, and used the car to do it again, same weekend, another victim, his appetite whetted.
why did he not disclose her location to teb? It's kinda the first question one would ask having been told of a murder...his twisted mind could have invented it in an effort to break teb. or to instill further fear in her.
In his fave book, there are two distinct characters, one person.
I suggest he's living it and if he was smirking in court , it's likely he sees it as a game.
You are absolutely right to want a search, I do too, I always did.
We need his contacts, we need his #darkweb history and contacts... we see what is presented to us by one of his personas.
The other is occult and we need to find him. The secret Brendt... and the answer to that is probably not within the entire psychiatric realm.
But I believe it's likely 'he' exists and his deeds exist so there must e a record of them somewhere.
Rememer when we received that report from China stating she was dead within 4 hrs? Surely that was merely speculative based upon times his phone was active and engaging...
It is also likely he filmed his interactions with her, I feel he would have wanted that 'badge of honour', possibly to gain entry to a more sophisticated group of headbangers.. a milestone, one of many... so that's still missing. It's quite possible several of his computers are also missing, possibly another phone, keys, an address, an entirely 'other' life...

Why would he have killed her so quickly? Surely the plan was to take her and use her in any way he pleased, his other slaves were willing slaves, he wanted an unwilling slave, but surely for longer than 4 hrs and I'm not buying the accidental death theory either, it's not that easy to quench a life in a healthy fit young person.
Imagine, if she showed up alive somewhere?
Worst possible outcome is that she is found bound and gagged in some building, having died from hunger and thirst and where nobody searched and nobody heard her cries.
It is a possibility. He hadn't petrol money to keep visiting her if he had stashed her 30 minutes away, it had to be closer to home for convenience.

I know his ex wife said a green duffel bag was missing but stonegate apartments is a pretty big complex, someone would have seen him carrying it in.
The American Psycho book. What is referenced in that, that he thought evidence would be traced back to him from that book? I even google searched “what did American psycho do with the bodies” to maybe figure out if the book had clues to a possible disposal. And nothing, absolutely nothing.
Something that hasn’t ever been brought up. When the FBI interviewed him on June 14th, 5 days after the kidnapping, did they notice any scratches on his face or arms? He explained to TEB how she fought and resisted in his apartment. Idk. This case has me puzzled. Just absolutely puzzled.

BC certainly knew the roadway/terrain heading north back to WI. Am curious why folks are guessing he went west or south, unless someone can show that he visited/used such areas recreationally during his time in Champaign (he may well have, but have never heard)?
I’d guess heading north, except that I’m in the camp believing there is no intact body to find; either he completely destroyed it before disposal, or in best case scenario deposited it somewhere the public has no access to (a mineshaft, a hog lagoon, a landfill, etc.) — I think LE already knows (from audiotape) and thus has never encouraged public searches. But for those wanting to search I’d be searching along routes we know he was familiar with; starting north.
This all reminds me, FWIW, I don’t believe they ever ID’d the skeleton that was found near Litchfield (southwest) way back, or does anyone know otherwise?

He didn't have time to dissolve the body, if he killed her, if she is dead. The tape , without evidence could be classed as hearsay, not proof.
A recent case in Turkey, Jamal Khasoggi, murdered, apparently in Saudi embassy used acids, but the process took more than 2 weeks, allegedly, he hasn't been found either. The investigation was delayed by the Saudis who used an autopsy specialist to chop up his body which was then allegedly put into various acids, traces of which were found. No word on that skeleton but I could easily have missed it...
If Christenson killed her, did he not defeat his whole objective?
All that 'meticulous planning' for a mere few hours 'pleasure'?
It's a mess.
In Turkey the police opened the sewers and searched for his dNA...they opened wells, they fingertip searched large areas of woodlands and waste ground. They found little or nothing.
It is thought that his dismembered body was partly flown back to Saudi that night.
In Khasoggi's case, a tape exists of his murder, they didn't know the embassy was monitored.
It reminded me a lot of YY's case.
Disappeared without a trace, but in Khasoggi's case a team of 15 assassins arrived for the mission. Did it and returned home same day, leaving no evidence

The Litchfield remains are supposed to be from a Native American female. No ID has been released as far as I know. DNA analysis was supposed to be underway, and with YY’s disappearance b3ing so prominent, I’m sure the DNA will be checked against her reference samples for a potential match

I’m sorry I had a typo there. BC ex wife told the FBI he owned a green duffel bag, not that it was missing. How did she notice the American Psycho book was missing? Why is his Ex wife now testifying against the FBI regarding search warrants?
