Familiarity would not matter, if it is true that PF killed her mother. It would be horrible and tragic for her to be raised in that home. The same home in which her father plotted and schemed the murder.

Her entire life, she would be surrounded by people who sided with and sympathized with the killer and she and her feelings would be marginalized. It would be devastating for KB's family as well. JMO
In general, familiarity is a critical consideration. Court's wont typically put a child in an unfamiliar setting, but rather do a gradual introduction. This is a little different situation of course.

Thank you.
PF asked for the gag order.

From the motion:
"Patrick Frazee, by and through counsel, moves this Court to enter an Order limiting the dissemination of information by the attorneys, their agents, employees and all law enforcement investigators, personnel and employees, and all court personnel concerning this case." continued at this link: https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/04th_Judicial_District/Teller/caseofinterest/2018CR330/001/Motion To Limit Pretrial.pdf

Thank You. Makes sense now.

Right, But there are recent pictures of the baby with KB's mother, smiling. So she did know her maternal grandmother. And they cannot really ignore the current murder charges, in making their decision. JMO

Is she? Then it's between the Bs and the Fs? Where is the baby now?

My head feels like a disco ball
Imo if K is with the Berreths already that is a good sign that she would stay there. If she is in foster care the Bs may have petitioned the court to have her placed with them until the charges against PF get sorted out. Mama F could have petitioned also. We don't know. If this goes to trial & PF goes to prison it wouldn't surprise me if KB's family petitions the court to terminate his parental rights. A lot will be contingent on what happens with PF I imagine. All MOO

Are you sure about that? These documents were described as government motions. Definetly makes more sense if its PF's attorney.
Colorado Judicial Branch

The DA doesn't need the gag order because they are keeping everything sealed, likely for 30 days. In the meantime, the DA can claim they are not trying the case in the media, while they try the case in the media. The arrestee PF and his attorney have not seen any of the evidence and won't until at least the Dec 31 arraignment. He was arrested Dec. 21.
