I knew what you meant, but I didn't even notice the initials being wrong!
Yes, it does seem like many things he did were the opposite of what CW did, or said. Or didn't say.
There's a Seinfeld episode where George does the complete opposite of his natural instinct and it works for awhile.
I could see where an arrogant simpleton could think he could commit a major crime and get away with it just by refusing to talk or cooperate, after witnessing the colossal CW f-up.

I know it could be a lot of other things but if I had to put money on it, I'd go with what I know which is De Young said Kelsey's phone did end up in Idaho. How they can't figure out how to get it to Colorado is riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma on top of a conundrum.
MOO

Oh shoot, Pommy, you are probably right. But I was having fun thinking up possible evidence that would be difficult to transport. :D
Ok, let's say it's the phone. How cold is it in Idaho right now? Could they have found the phone frozen in a block of ice in a river somewhere? I know of a few bodies found that way and they had to remove a large block of ice around the person and then it was a very slow process to thaw. For a phone it might be easier but if Idaho is not processing the phone evidence maybe they are keeping it in a freezer and trying to figure out how to transport ice? o_O
Ok, perhaps that is too far fetched. I hope Idaho LE would at least thaw the phone out pack it in some rice to dry it. I'll stop with the random speculating now.
I hope we find out something concrete soon!

Since the baby carrier has been mentioned tonight wouldn't it be interesting to know if PF had that particular carrier or where it is?
BBM

Agreed and well said.
Graphic warning follows :

If KB was injured, prior to her murder, in such a way that 'matter'/blood spattered on the baby and car seat -- PF would be sure to destroy it !
Unless he is a total fool--- and dropped it off during his 'dump run' ?
And that was the evidence that led to his arrest ?

That’s what I thought. If it’s that sensitive just send a deputy up there to get it!
Send the armored truck escorted by 100 cops on motorcycles for all we care. Unless, it's a matter of, er, keeping something cold or preserved? What would be so sensitive that they can't just send a few LE's to drive it to CO or maybe meet halfway? Is it a legal issue?

Respectfully shortened.

He's still not gone to trial. He was able to call his daughters multiple times a day from jail for three years before the court discontinued his calls.

I pray Kelsey's mom doesn't have to endure anything similar.

Oh, I agree. I hope Kelsey's family is spared that horrid situation too.

I think it is somewhat different when the children are older. Like in the Siever's case, the girls were old enough to know somewhat what was happening and taking to their father may have been comforting, at first.

KB's child is just a baby.

Purely speculation, but what if the reason PF could trust someone enough to ask them to murder KB was because that person also wanted someone in their life dead? CB stated money was tight, so an easy leap would be he wouldn’t have funds to pay someone to do this. But if the plan was to murder each other’s person, it would ensure each of their hands were clean and they could each have an alibi.

I agree.
IMO, LE is employing a psychological tactic akin to Chinese water torture.
IMO, they're trying to get PF to crack.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

Drip.
Or his co-conspirators... someone needs to get to crackin’, even if it takes family members of those involved to try to talk some sense into them to cooperate, after hearing the last two days‘ news on every media outlet....

BBM. I don't know about that... What if a vehicle or a horse trailer used to transport KB's body was located in Idaho? I'm thinking if it's a horse trailer they may not want to simply hook it to a police car and tow it down the road. Sensitive evidence inside could possibly blow out of an open trailer. They might want to process it there? Or are perhaps trying to figure out a way to cover the trailer and transport on a flatbed semi? :confused:o_O

(Just throwing out guesses here. Also when you said perishable my mind went to cinnamon rolls, lol! :p But hopefully they would know how to transport those. :D ).
Wrap it up like you would a double wide trailer and seal it with evidence tape!
Moo

Neither has filed for custody as far as we know. They have maybe filed to intervene. That can mean different things.

Could it be the sister has read comments about her mom’s age/disability & feels it best if she, too, puts in an appearance. Back up support. My mom can take care of a child & I will help her.

FWIW: imo, a disability does not make a person incapable of parenting. If so, if a woman is deaf, limped, had poor vision or missing a limb, should her children be taken from her at birth?
Would it not be illegal to employ or otherwise use a baby sitter that “limped”, if a person with a limp is incapable of providing child care?
IMO, K had no problem with Mrs. F tending to the baby.

MOO

LOL! PDs and satellite crime labs do it all the time. But trust me, it's registered with a paper trail. Honestly, it depends on what it is and whether LE would walk it in or not and how much of a biohazard it is.
IMHO
It really is common for evidence to be mailed or Fed Ex’d. But this reference to “sensitive “ makes me think it’s something the Twin Falls PD isn’t comfortable mailing or is waiting for instructions on and doesn’t want to be blamed either way.

The article calls it "sensitive evidence." I wonder if it something valuable like an engagement ring, other jewelry, gold bars or cash, that go with the felony murder/robbery charge. Maybe KB did keep gold or cash, and she would have told PF where she kept it hidden in the house. CB would also know. A spot up high requiring a ladder to access would be a good hiding place.

And who was the LE source in Idaho that supposedly confirmed that IN was under investigation? That's not good if info is sealed while FBI, CBI and LE in Colorado are trying to to work the case and keep it under wraps!
Speculative reporting perhaps, been a lot of that thus far.

Bet if they had a horse trailer, it’d be back to CO already. Or fbi would have it in Quantico.

Maybe, the evidence is something on paper. Written notes.
Perhaps scanned copies have been transmitted but now they want to send originals. Or receipts?

Just a thought.

I don’t think we know at all at this point. SF was apparently taking care of the child a lot. So, absent any evidence she is being implicated in any wrongdoing, she COULD make a strong case for temporary placement as it being least disruptive to the child and she remains in the county. PF’s sisters claim would be a little more difficult unless as you say it’s just that she is there and available to help SF.

No, I meant P & K. Did they have a formal agreement?

Idk if P’s rights have been taken away, in regards to parenting. He’s involved in the custody petition. He’s innocent. He’s not been declared guilty. IMO, the baby was not removed from Mrs. F because of impending danger. Rather removed bc k’s mom had quietly, behind the scene, orchestrated a custody petition, making the baby a ward of the state. That’s why, IMO, the baby was taken from Mrs. F. All the time P was under suspicion, he had the child.

MOO MOO

Not that has been made public. The state did the motions for the custody. I think it is a hard situation all around. I cannot even imagine not knowing where my daughter is and how she suffered. There is absolutely not fair for either grandmother to suffer this way.

It is currently 19 degrees in Twin Falls. :) If the phone was found, I'm guessing it was a result of one of the search warrants served there. We could speculate all day about where it was found, so I'll just stop there.

Reports: Woman in Idaho under investigation in Berreth case

The Daily Mail of London is reporting a nurse in Twin Falls, Idaho is under investigation for possibly disposing of Berreth’s cell phone which pinged in Idaho shortly after her disappearance.

The Daily Mail also reporting the Idaho woman’s co-workers claim she was having an affair with Berreth’s fiance, Patrick Frazee. According to the report, the two met at a rodeo.

None of this has been confirmed by investigators. When News5 reached out to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office they declined to comment. The FBi referred us to the 4th Judicial District for any comment. As for police in Twin Falls, they tell News5 no investigation is underway by their officers related to the Berreth case. Instead they referred us to contact authorities in Colorado.

I’m sure CO has asked other LE to not speak to the case. It’s CO’s case. Jmo
What a run around News5 got. Lol
