Court Junkie and Casefile are my two favorite podcasts. I like no nonsense and no hamming it up. Does anybody know of any other podcasts similar that are not that heralded.

I listen to a huge amount of podcasts: Casefile, True Crime Guys, True Murder All The Time and True Murder All The Time Unsolved, Monster, Criminology, Unresolved, UnFound, True Crime Sisters, True Crime Brewery, True Murder, Unsolved Murders and many more.

But the podcast I recommend is called 12-26-75. It initially dealt with the murder of two young girls (Donna Richmond and Jennifer Amour) and lately has focused on the East Area Rapist / Original Night Stalker.

This podcast was stating well over year ago that the Visalia Ransacker was the same man as the East Area Rapist, despite some senior investigators in the case such as Paul Holes stating repeatedly in public that they were NOT the same man.

Now that Joseph James DeAngelo Jr has been arrested (and charged with thirteen counts of murder!) we know that he was indeed the Visalia Ransacker AND the East Area Rapist.

It is a very detailed orientated, no nonsense podcast, and the hosts stuck their necks out by arguing against the public face of the case, and have subsequently been proven to have been 100% correct about the Visalia Ransacker being the same offender as the East Area Rapist / Original Night Stalker.

Ep. 8 The Visalia Ransacker, Part One
Ep. 9 The Visalia Ransacker, Part Two
Ep. 10 The Visalia Ransacker, Part Three
Ep. 13 VR = EAR?

ps Even if people have never heard of this case, the podcast is a fascinating study in one of the most prolific offenders of all time, who was an active duty policeman for 48 of his 49 known rapes.

This case will be studied for decades to help understand the errors made along the way that allowed one offender to progress from being the Visalia Ransacker, through to East Area Rapist, through to Original Night Stalker.

Thanks, I will give these a listen. I am pretty much addicted to true crime podcasts, but find myself liking the single host format, like Trace Evidence. I will sometimes listen to Generation Why, like Aaron but Justin bothers me. Listen to True Crime Garage, Nic is great, but the Captain is a joke. I just hate the tacked on co-host that is there to inject levity and non helpful stuff.

Court Junkie and Casefile are my two favorite podcasts. I like no nonsense and no hamming it up. Does anybody know of any other podcasts similar that are not that heralded.
I would heartily recommend FBI Retired Case File Review hosted by Jerri Williams who is a retired FBI Special Agent. She is a super host, intelligent, asks great questions, does not interrupt her guests unless for a very valid question or comment, and is able, through her contacts, to invite and interview some of the most interesting, brave, and fascinating retired agents to discuss their most significant solved cases. They cover crime and cases from all areas in the domestic and international criminal world, and offer mesmerising insight into how the FBI works, and also how devoted, loyal and frankly courageous their agents and whole FBI family are.
The Polly Klaas episodes stand out for me, as do the latest two episodes on white collar crime and the ups and downs of using Cooperating Witnesses.
Just go to jerriwilliams.com or you can listen to the podcast on Stitcher, and other outlets.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy her show as much as I do!

Am downloading it now, thank you. This sounds like what I want.

A standard of course is sword and scale. It's kind of gone Haywire in the last few months, but the original ones are great.

I'm glad I have this opportunity to do a shout-out, to who I cannot remember on which thread that recommended it about a month ago, but it is a podcast called *ear hustle*. It is a podcast from San Quentin prison about prison life. Excellent. If you start from the beginning, you will definitely binge listen to this one.

I listen to these on * Google podcasts* app.

I had Sword and Scale on my Ipad awhile back, but I just never got into it that much. Wasn't crazy about it. I am way too selective and am hard to please, which leaves me with little to listen to after Court Junkie and Casefile. Generation Why has been phoning it in for months now and True Crime Garage is getting lazy as well.

^^^THIS. Go listen to this podcast. VERY well done.
Hello! Thanks for recommending this. I just listened to the whole thing. Very well done, and the host has an easygoing voice and manner. So exciting to hear about new science being developed to ID the Unidentified...

You all might also enjoy Finding Cleo. You can find it on Canadian Broadcasting

Thank you Greyclay for recommending 12-26-75. You are absolutely right....a highly professional and intelligent podcast with two very dedicated hosts. I went on to listen to quite a few subsequent episodes behind the episodes you highlighted. I am inspired now to read all I can about the entire story behind deAngelo. Incredibly dark and prolific criminal.
