I have to believe Brewer heard the tape because he mentions his voice is on it. If a guy like Brewer could hear it then why not the rest of the world?

Yes, I heard of Carny and I forget what it is all about. Refresh my memory.

HackShaw, spare me the suspense. Seriously. You be useful, you tell me.

i don't remember what was told to me and who told it

Fascinating.
You have all the intelligence in the world when it comes to the "dirty Suffolk county cops" but no information on the kinky boys internet mob that literally put a hit on Costello before she died.

I want to see her M.E. report/autopsy. She was only 3 months of decomp before she was discovered, I think. That means there is tons of forensic evidence to go through.

I know they cremated one of the girls, was it Costello? Because there is nothing more suspicious than the family ordering the body to be cremated in instances of homicides.

I think Schaller and Kim are super suspect, too. Like they know something else they aren't confessing to. The same way I feel Jason Dubrule and Sarah had more to do with Maureen than they'll say or admit--pretending that she was the brains of exploiting herself and they were "innocent bystanders"...I don't buy it.

DuBrule, for instance, tons of violent priors and he's a book keeper. He's...a bookie with ties to Foxwoods. Probably knows the loan shark up there I am looking for, too.

I wonder if any of them were members of the CCC?

I do know Dekalb County picked up italyrider. He's definitely got violent priors and ties to GA. Jason Murry is that guys name. Maybe he's the drifter.

Conviction under a Mann Act charge carries a punishment of up to five years imprisonment and a fine of up to $5000.

Regarding no Mann Act Charges in this case. Could it be that law enforcement did not want to lay any charges, because the lawyers of any potential defendants could possibly implicate LE or politicians or certain individuals in open court?

Pak picked her up from Manhattan, NY.

Either:

He lied and corroborated the story because he was aware of this and both himself and Pak could be charged under this statute.

OR

The service Pak drove for was actually in Manhattan or operating in New York. Meaning neither of them can be charged with the Mann act. The business could, though.

Please subpoena the Money Gram, WU and Green Dot transactions Pak used to send his cut back to the Escort service. That will tell us the truth.

Anybody heard of AD&D insurance?

I was looking up policy information on victims of serial killers. I found AD&D insurance. Accidental Death and Dismemberment.

Some of these escort services likely had travel insurance, don't you think? The girls could have had policies. I looked up examples of exclusions last night. Some times the girls have to be missing for a year, they get a pay out on the limbs they lost. Some get covered for homicide, some get covered for suicide...

Is there a national registry for these things that could look the victims up? Maybe start with CitiBank since that is where Pak's casualty insurance license is from?

See if there was a policy taken out on Shannan (or her mother, something is very not kosher with her mother's death). It's funny, the more I research this-- the more I start to think that Gus Colletti said he was an insurance fraud investigator to let people know he knew what they were up to.

I do not believe workers in the sex-trade or human trafficking are too concerned with the long term view of life. Therefore I would be very surprised if insurance of any type is a common purchase.
Just getting through the medical, urine tests and blood work would likely raise enough RED flags to reject most of these people. They are not the clients most insurance companies are looking for. Just my opinion.

So where did Brewer's 2 million come from? What is Gen First Lab Solutions? You don't think Ruis had his drivers and girls insured?
They don't have to do blood urine and physicals if your employer buys it.

Most of the time the insured doesn't know they have a policy.

Ruis had legal fees and a lawyer in Long Island. Pak had a casualty insurance license. Pak knew Brewer and Pak knew Ruis.

Call your Life Insurance Company, find out their standards regarding sex-trade workers. Now these people could likely buy 'no-medical' policies but they tend to have much smaller payouts, nowhere near $2 million that Brewer appears to have gotten.

If your employer buys the insurance depending on many factors (payout being most important) medicals maybe required.

If Brewer bought $2 million worth of real estate, he likely only had to put $500,000.00 down. In the businesses he is speculated to be involved in, that might not be hard to earn.

Has anybody else heard of sex-trade workers having group insurance provided by the Agency?
Most workers work for Agencies as Independent Contractors, so no worker comp/group insurance etc is provided.

I may be wrong, I would like to hear from somebody in the insurance or escort trade.

@WINDSOR This is idealistic thinking. We are talking about insurance fraud here.

He would not tell the insurance company what he really did. Some companies might be shady. Scammers are never honest about their applicants or to the applicant.

It's just that I feel like the international serial killer headquarters being in Long Island is really really a stretch of the imagination. People like Kevin Spacey in Se7en are extremely rare.

All murder has a motive the motive and this might be more practical than we first think. The motive being "Crazy Deranged Rando" is too rare for Long Island to be breeding a new serial killer every 10 years. That alone is just super suspect. Something else is going on.

What about the suspect that the informant on tv was talking about that he owed a chop shop in queens??

Not sure what you are referring to? Like auto chop shop?

I think Brewer kept a stash house, either that or he cooked drugs there. They thought Shannan ratted. He and Pak killed her.

I need to know who the drifter guy was.

Mark, we do not really know who the drifter guy is. There was a guy who wrote anonymously
Confessions of the Oak Beach Drifter, he lived with Brewer for a while, but not when the death of Shannan took place. The SCPD said the drifter had no involvement.

SCPD can't slap their areas with both hands at the time of these murders, either, so there is that. I am not sure how credible this particular investigation was and whether the drifter that they mention can be cleared.

What about a Demeo family connection? He didn't get along with the Gambinos at the time of the murders and he was a loan shark (this case has a strange loansharking connection, too) and his family lived in Massapequa, Long Island where one victim's cell phone was traced.

Some victims were killed similarly to his MO and he and his crew would have the audacity to try to throw suspicion at the Gambinos by choosing Ocean Parkway as a dump site right outside the Gambino's neighborhood pointing suspicion and heat at their family.

I don't think the Gambino's did this.

- They don't like bodies in their backyards and near their family.

- They don't like unnecessary casualties such as women and children.

- They stopped associating with Demeo and his associates because he didn't play by the rules that Italian crime families had in place to stay off the LE radar and not make a scene that obviously will cause LE to take action.

Demeo was a violent killing machine and used little discretion and this was seen as a liability to the family.

Italian crime families might be evil, but they had rules that reduced casualties and got upset when women or children would get caught in the crossfire.

Most of what infuriates me is these are young innocent women who were trafficked by pimps who exploited them using drug addiction, fraud and coercion and violence, plus a child who was an extremely innocent victim, here.

I can't see the Gambino's authorizing or condoning that. I COULD see DeMeo and his associates condoning it. Plus, he killed a guy making naughty movies in the past. This case has naughty movie people remnants, too.

You know I respect everyone's opinion no matter how outlandish they appear to be because this is what this Board is all about. But come-on, don't you think this is getting a little silly?

Gambino lived at two addresses off Ocean Parkway. One in Brooklyn and the other one in Massapequa. Just a coincident.

I'm so glad you brought up how silly this all is. What is sillier than a black hat who shows up on web sleuths with the information and access to solve a case and spends 99% of his time obstructing investigations and promoting his stupid book that is nothing but fictional speculation that merely drives his anti-government "the police did it" agendas.

You are the one who thinks Suffolk county police are low key serial killers and the FBI must be either too incompetent to see it or totally involved in this scheme.

You cyber attack people who call you out on your BS. You solve no legitimate issues and I am sick of running into you on the internet constantly and finding you to be, mostly, in the way of things getting done.

That is what I find to be silly about this. Not my theory that a criminal is responsible for these crimes.

DeMeo and his crew have an MO that matches. He might be dead, his associates might not be. Gambino's ordered the hit on him because he was sloppy and killed indiscriminately and made stupid mistakes.

Joseph Brewer seems like a wanna be made man, this might have been to get some street cred with some facet of organized crime. Brewer probably moved there to get closer to them, anyway. But just like DeMeo he was sloppy and a liability and most people in Oak Beach probably agreed with that assessment.

Italian crime families had rules, killing hookers and little kids and dumping them near their neighborhood was not something that they would do if they had any desire to achieve success and power. It's sloppy and it simply goes against the family code of conduct.

If you are suggesting Shannan went running from innocent little Joseph Brewers and just so happened to smack into a Gambino after waking up by the entire neighborhood running around and screaming while the police were called twice by a neighbor and Shannan, herself calling the police...and while Suffolk is enroute to this location this Gambino comes out of left field and coincidentally had the impulsive urge to kill her at 5am not knowing who she was and what neighbor (or pimps) had to account for her, later...you are silly. If you think after all this commotion and heat on them and this coincidental impulsive act of murder while law enforcement is on the way that the decision is made to just toss her in the marsh behind Hackett's house, you're silly. If you think a Gambino got this urge far more than once and thought that it would be a great at idea to use the neighborhood around his family to get rid of his victims, you are silly. Do you think that crime family just tripped one day and coincidentally landed in a powerful crime empire?

No. Because a Gambino is not that stupid--Or sloppy.

If you think James Burke and his serial killing enabling department did it, you're silly.

Do you have anything relevant to add?

Like I said EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINIONS.

And some people are simply entitled and passive aggressively attack others for sustained time periods for sharing them.

I agree. We wouldn't have problems if this were only a difference in our opinions. We have problems because you went out of your way to attack me for them. I have not in the long time I have been forced to speak to you (whether I wanted to or not) even once violated your personal space or privacy.

You don't need to remind me about how everybody has opinions. I can respect opinions without waging a cyber war and trying to destroy someone's life. I am merely trying to stay on topic and not discuss that part.
