LE stated very early on that PF was not talking to them, but was being very cooperative through his attorney. Immediately following the arrest, that attorney announced that he was no longer representing PF, but the public defender's office was.
LE can't have it both ways. He can't being telling them multiple stories if he hasn't spoken to them.

This was prior to his attorney when KB was first discovered to be missing during her well person check. LE talked with PF to ask why he had not reported KB missing. During these early discussions, LE asked questions about the last time he had interactions with KB. Prior to the first press conference, he had an attorney.

Unfortunately, this guy isn’t ever going to give up Kelsey’s body. There’s no reason for him to do that, as it could only hurt him.

As gross as it is, I do hope her body is at the dump. Atleast they will have an opportunity to locate her.

It was not one conversation. LE would have visited him multiple times in those early days of her being a missing person. His statements to LE are not gossip and LE's press statements to the public are gossip. They might at times be intentionally misleading under special circumstances. You can search the early press videos.

I really hope they can find her soon as well. One way or another. Knowing a loved one is out there, somewhere, never knowing....I think that would be the worst feeling possible. Unfortunately, I think there is only one person who knows. And it is very much in that person's self interest to not say.

Without an arrest I don't see how they can prevent her from traveling.

Her employer, St Luke Health System, has roughly 126,000 employees, after just laying off 14,000. Their facilities stretch across western Oregon and all of southern Idaho. There is a drastic shortage of Registered Nurses in this country, which is more pronounced in the western states. "on Leave of Absence" by the definition that someone posted earlier, means for a fixed length of time, which could have been one day. Large hospitals usually maintain on campus temporary housing for travelling nurses and physicians "ad locum". News gatherers are generally not allowed on hospital campuses without an escort.
She could be anywhere in millions of square miles spanning two states and be instantly available to LE and be immune from the press and be working for a living like so many people have to do............ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
However, I prefer to imagine Tahiti. I've heard it's very nice this time of year.

I read that CB called him to ask what he knew of her whereabouts, and that CB related that information to LE. My impression was that LE had taken no action at that time, except answer initial calls from CB.
I might also add that Chief De Young, who gave the Dec 10 press conference, was not the officer doing any of the contacting or being contacted, to that point. That officer was Commander Chris Adams.

The FBI may make recommendations but it does not prosecute cases; the FBI's job is to investigate.

It is sad that she maybe actually did have to step away from the situation to clear her head and be able to march onward. I bet trying to figure out problems/situations with PF was like communicating with a brick wall.

I absolutely agree.

It’s entirely possible that she did leave for periods of time.

Who wouldn’t want to get away from this abusive jerk?

Considering the source of this information, I’m skeptical as to its veracity though.

It’s a shame that she didn’t truly run off, as atleast she wouldn’t have fallen prey to this animal.

No...............crossing state lines to commit a crime does not dictate federal jurisdiction.
Federal murder charges often occur when the crime is committed on a federal facility, which can range all the way from prisons to military posts to national forests. They also occur when racketeering, a federal crime, is involved. Also, it is a very serious federal crime for any convicted felon to possess a firearm. Often, it becomes the most serious charge when the actual crime that prompted the arrest was something else.
If a person in one state calls another to solicit them to commit a murder, the appropriate charge is Solicitation. If that solicited person jumps in the truck, motors on over to that state, and commits murder; the appropriate charge would be murder.
If instead, that person motors on over to the other state to tell the Solicitor she is not going to participate, no crime has been committed by her.
On the other hand, if the person in the other state receives a phone that belonged to the victim of a murder, and uses that phone to cover up that murder, the person would be an Accessory After The Fact, to Murder, in the state where the murder happened. The person would be charged, arrested and extradited to that state. IMO

I sincerely doubt KL is in Tahiti or on a cruise ship. She has not been charged, as of yet, but I am certain it is coming. Cooperating from Tahiti? I think that's highly unlikely. She is involved and I believe not lightly and she isn't leaving the country. She is in no danger that I can think of, other than perhaps to herself. And, that in and of itself may be the answer to my original question

Love your name. My Mom loves yellow roses. This is a case I am for constantly praying for KB for her to be found in a respectable manner, for her child, and family to have peace surrounding them, and for law enforcement, which I know is tired, I ask for their strength, rest, and knowledge. When the original warrant was sealed there was some language about risk to safety of witnesses or something. (Sorry I can't remember the exact wording). But since PF was already arrested, it led me to believe that was perhaps a third person out there that is involved, like perhaps a hitman or something. Just speculation on my part of course.
