Has anyone thought that maybe LS attempted to get away from PR by cutting through Oak Road Playing Fields and head back towards the city heading South or North along the river? There is a sort of defined pathway through grass, but you do reach points of difficulty going South. I've attached an image in the link above...

Just looking at the CCTV of the car again just it really gave me the creeps as it definitely looks like a person is helped in ...also by him opening the door indicates someone needing help (drunk) or someone he doesn't know or both
If he was picking up someone he knew he wouldn't open the door for them imo
He also seems to open it a few seconds before the person reaches the door

I've also wondered if she run through the park to get away from him hence the screams

And the police haven’t appealed for the cyclist to come forward .... as they know it’s the arrested man ???

It's a possibility! I'm sure I saw somewhere the police were apealing for a cyclist to come forward? Could be wrong, I'll have a look!

I can't seem to find anything stating the police were asking the cyclist to come forward. I could have sworn I've seen it somewhere too! Anyone else remember this or know where I can find it?

Continuing from the last thread with the mapping and terrain aspects:

“The Humber Estuary.
The Humber is a North Sea inlet on the East coast of England and it is one of the major deepwater estuaries in the U.K. The deepwater channel is 22 miles (35 kms.) long from the open sea at Spurn Point to Kingston Upon Hull. Further upstream at low tide there are many sandbanks that are exposed restricting navigation to smaller vessels. The Humber starts at the juncture of the River Ouse and the River Trent, and at this point it is approximately 1 mile (1.6km) wide. It increases its width until at its mouth, 37 miles (59 kms.) to the east, it is about 8 miles (13 kms.) wide between North Lincolnshire and Kilnsea, East Yorkshire with Spurn Head jutting out nearly 4 miles (6.4 kms.) into the estuary.
Humber EstuaryThe Humber with its canals and tributaries, (which include the rivers Hull, Ancholme, Derwent, Ouse and Trent) run off an area of 9,550 square miles (24,750 square kms.), which is about 20% of the total land area in England. This provides the largest single output of fresh water from Britain into the North Sea.
The Humber is a large tidal estuary and extremely turbid, the estuary has a brown appearance due to this high turbidity, and is often thought of as a dirty river. This is not so, the Humber is healthy and there are many Nature Conservation areas and important Nature Reserves in and around it. The waters of the estuary are heavily laden with sediment, which comes from marine and riverine sources and the eroding boulder clay of the Holderness coast. This sediment keeps extensive inter tidal flats and forms mud and sand bars that make semi-permanent islands along the shores, sand dunes and small lagoons can also be found. At low tide vast expanses of mud flats are exposed. These are one of the Humbers important habitats for millions of invertebrates, that provide a food source for many other species. Further upstream as the salinity decreases extensive reed beds fringe the estuary. Therefore the estuary supports a vast collection of wildlife and natural habitats from salt marsh and samphire beds to sub tidal sandbanks and many species of fish, birds are also a well known feature of the Humber, with many species of International importance using the Estuary.“

East Yorkshire River Trust - River Hull

“Chalk Wolds of East Yorkshire are the source of spring fed streams, or becks, that make up the River Hull catchment, forming perhaps the most northerly region of European chalk streams. These chalk streams provide important corridors for wildlife and the major water courses are designated SSSI’s.

Separate to the River Hull system is the Gypsey Race, the most northerly winterbourne chalk stream in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Pre-history, the Gypsey Race possibly linked to the River Hull system at Kilham but its course may have been later blocked by glacier action. It now discharges into the North Sea at Bridlington Harbour.“

Abandoned river boats 'a flood risk'

“East Riding of Yorkshire Council are looking for the owners of the vessels, some of which have been there 10 years.
The council said "limited funding" was available to help the owners move their boats, which include trawlers, barges and leisure craft.“

I agree, someone sits into the car and he closes the door behind them!

Thanks for the geography lesson, can you tell us about oxbow lakes tomorrow? x

I live in the Grimsby/Cleethorpes area, so we are right where the River Humber meets the North Sea, and there are no end of stories in these parts about people who have been lost to the water.

If Libby ended up in the Humber, then she is almost certainly lost forever. The currents are brutal.

I hope she is anywhere but there.

How would a cyclist fit with abduction?
The ITV clip doesn't ignore the cyclist they say it could be a vital witness

We dont really know if the cyclist has come forward to help already

I can’t believe another day has gone by, and still no trace of Libby. I’m trying to imagine what her parents’ days must be like - waiting for news, hope fading with every hour that ticks by. Sick with adrenaline every time the phone rings.

I think if anything similar ever happened to me they’d have to sedate me for weeks, and only wake me up when there was news. I’m holding so much admiration, love and hope for them both.

Just read the Daily Record article that said she was reported missing in the early hours of Friday morning. If it is L getting into the passenger seat of the car and he opened the door for her, he could have opened the door to make sure she got in. In the CCTV it looks like he closed it behind her after she got in the passenger seat. It could explain why the Police arrested him on suspicion of abduction, but why they haven't been asking for the cyclist to come forward - or have they and I have missed it? Or has the cyclist possibly been traced already and he didn't notice anything. The car that drives past looks to me as if it is a Renault Scenic or Megane. After the passenger gets in the car, the car leaves - assuming it is her and PR driving then he has her in the car and he is in control (or thinks he is). Where does he go from here - does he drive around pretending to be lost or to the park? Have the Police got the car on CCTV after he leaves with her? He could have appeared quite plausible to her to get her in a false sense of security until he got her into the car. At some point has he tried to take advantage of her and she resisted his advances and struggled.
