No. :rolleyes: From what I understand, the cases are the same charges. Cases started in Cleveland County; then the cases were transferred to Oklahoma County (different case numbers were assigned); those cases were then dismissed in Oklahoma County.

Yes, very strange the charges were dismissed. Especially because the state had originally requested, and was granted, 5 extra days to file charges APR 2018. It seems the state would have been 'certain' when they filed the charges.
I don't find access to the arrest affidavit or the probable cause statement to try to figure out what evidence the state had at that time.
Here is the CLEVELAND COUNTY data for BARKER, JOHNNY SHANE. I didn't post this earlier because it was all dismissed after being transferred to OKLAHOMA COUNTY. So, now you have all of the docket entries for both counties.

"A 17-year-old Moore man facing two first-degree murder charges is scheduled for arraignment this week.

On Thursday, Brett Aaron Boettler is expected to appear before Judge Michael Tupper, where he will enter an initial plea. Boettler was initially supposed to appear in February for his arraignment, but it was rescheduled.

Boettler was charged last April, along with his brother, Kevin Don Garcia-Boettler, 23, of Marysville, his mother, Crystal Rachelle Boettler, 40, and Johnny Shane Barker, 44, both of Oklahoma City, in connection with the 2018 deaths of 21-year-olds Alize Ramon Smith and Jarron Keonte Moreland.

Cleveland County Judge Steve Stice found probable cause to send all of the cases to trial. However, Crystal and Johnny will have their cases moved to Oklahoma County....

In addition to being charged with Smith and Moreland’s murders, Brett faces charges of unlawfully disposing of a dead body, desecration of a human corpse, possessing a firearm after delinquent adjudication and feloniously pointing a firearm."

Teenager pleads not guilty in Moore double-murder case
A 17-year-old Moore man who faces two first-degree murder charges pleaded not guilty Thursday via defense attorney Kevin Finlay.

Standing in front of Judge Michael Tupper on Thursday afternoon, Finlay said his client, Brett Aaron Boettler, received a previous diagnosis of mental illness and is pleading not guilty. Tupper scheduled a status conference in the case for 9 a.m. May 1.

Yikes Niner - it sure didn't make sense that the charges were dismissed for Crystal and Johnny.
After reading the recent news article, I decided to in-depth review the confusing court website.
It seems that the 'dismissed charges' were on their individual court cases.
There is another combined court case for Crystal and Johnny.
Not easy to follow.
