Thinking again about the family's loyalty towards FR, which at this point imho might very likely have a detrimental impact on the family's financial situation as well.

The father runs his own business as a tiler (is that the right word?). A good and sound reputation is very important to ensure a sufficient amount of contracts. Now he put himself in a position where he vehemently defends his SIL who is accused of murder, who already has a record, and is seemingly still engaging in some shady stuff on the side, something the father apparently knew. Many Germans will not approve of this. Potential clients will go elsewhere.

So bizarre , sister phoning husband to get her up , mum phoning son in law to get her up , mum texting daughter to see if she’s at school on time . ..... a 15 year old that can’t get herself up and to school
According to earlier articles posted in this thread, it’s stated she no longer wanted to attend her current school because of an altercation and/or bullying (depending on the translation). I’m wondering if they would be checking up to make sure she was up and ready for school because maybe she was faking sick or trying to stay home recently because of this.

"Investigators continue to face many puzzles three weeks after Rebecca's disappearance. Her brother-in-law Florian R. is considered urgently suspect. The main focus of the investigation was recently a car ride, which he undertook on the day of the disappearance of the student. He is alleged to have said to Rebecca's father that he drove to Poland that day to handle a drug deal. This reports the " Bild" newspaper."

If this is correct, maybe he is in fear of being a snitch and safety when he gives out details towards LE. ?

Missing Rebecca (15): Her brother-in-law Florian R. is already known to the police
10:17 pm: Although Rebecca's brother-in-law was previously unknown to the Berlin police, he was not to police in Brandenburg. In 2014, as bild.de reports, he was already fined for violating the Weapons and Explosives Act in Frankfurt (Oder). He is said to have traded illegally with "Polenböllern".

Could this be BIL's "secret" that he has declined to share with LE?

Just a thought...

Yes, it is firework stuff, as they are not manufactured acc to German regulation and may be stronger and not acc safety rules, but they are cheaper in Poland, this is quite a business.

This is not something i would consider a secret

Was this posted already? Bild reports cadaver dogs did not alert at the car.

"But cadaver dogs did not strike when the car was meticulously examined by the police. It has already been returned to the family. Who plays in the trunk? Without corpse no corpse smell, was Rebecca alive in the trunk?"

Also:
"In the meantime, around 1200 tips have been received by the police. This information will be re-evaluated according to BILD information. How the investigators want to proceed was not known on Sunday morning.

It is clear: The entire 3rd Homicide Commission is busy with the case."

Do you think this story has been picked up by the Polish press?
Poland was an early adopter of the dashcam and they are very common (...also using them is completely legal unlike many European countries where they are restricted/banned).
I think a public appeal for dashcam footage with a reward could help with seeing how far he travelled into Poland...

Police would surely know about the explosives offence. His secret seems to be the drug run the father is now saying happened on that Monday morning.
Yep...

I had not read this far at the time I posted it....

wonder if it is true...
Or just confessing to a lesser crime...(as mentioned above)...

Or... Both?

You know, I'm not getting any less confused…

Blanket fibers and hair in the car, but no dog hit -> she was alive in the car if the dog/s are right, so that stupid explanation with the playing in the trunk with her niece might actually be true?

OR! She was drugged/severely hurt to the point of being unconscious in the car, but not dead (yet)…

Then homicide division taking over, and police assuming a violent crime and even a homicide, but they have nothing (public at least) on the BIL... how do you assume a violent crime with no blood, no body, no alive victim? What could it be? Drug paraphernalia? Some kind of ligature that could have been used? Injuries on BIL? Used condom?
