Trinity was just 9, so likely born in 2010, or possibly the latter part of 2009, if she would have been 10 later this year. Did the mother go to prison already pregnant? Did she give birth to Trinity while incarcerated? Did she go to prison when Trinity was a newborn?

If she was in prison until 2016, who raised Trinity for most of her life? Why was the mother able to regain custody upon her release from prison?

And why didn’t the “family” know where she was at? Did they think she was in foster care or adopted out? Doesn’t CPS notify the father when the child is placed with the mother? It just seems strange that the family didn’t know she was in her mother’s custody? Where did they all think she was?

Emiel Lamar Hunt, 38, was charged Tuesday with one count of murder and is set to be arraigned later in the day. Investigators found Hunt Saturday morning sleeping in his car in a parking lot near San Diego International Airport and he was arrested without incident

The sheriff’s office said Tuesday that “information regarding the second person of interest is being withheld pending further investigation.”

Did the Tuesday press conference take place? And what the heck?? A registered sex offender and the other partner a child abuser???....this poor little girl had no chance. C'mon, USA, we need a better system for child placement.

Man Accused by Family in Hacienda Heights Homicide Once Convicted of Child Abuse in SD

“A man blamed by family in the gruesome homicide of a 9-year-old girl in Hacienda Heights spent more than a decade in prison on a torture and child abuse conviction from 2005, according to San Diego County court records.“

“His father, an elder at a San Diego-area church, said he pleaded to his son to attend church and straighten out his life upon his release. But when Hunt refused, the two became estranged.

"He wanted to do what he wanted to do and we have rules and regulations here. He couldn't abide by rules and regulations so we don't have any contact [for years]," Hunt’s father said.

“He needs help. If he did this, he needs help. I've already prayed for him,” he added.

When asked if he thought Hunt’s prior conviction could have possibly played a role in Trinity Jones’ death, he answered, “It could have. I would say yes.”“

Was he trying to run? Where in the literal world is her mother? Has the child been released to someone that at least will give her a proper funeral?

Their home is in Long Beach, which is a long way away from the San Diego airport. Long Beach is closer to LAX.

And a better system of incarceration. There is zero potential for rehabilitation for child molesters and child abusers. And this tragic situation is evidence of that premise. They should be locked up, throw away the keys. The fact that they were out, back in society to victimize another child is heinous.

Heads should roll here...if they were on probation, the PO should have been checking on them, to make sure that there was no access to children. And if CPS was involved, the last case worker who saw Trinity needs to explain why she was placed with her Mother. Someone failed this little girl.
