poor girl...:(

Anyone have access to Effingham County court site? case #1812-3041 for all
TIA! :)

Just wondering on court dates for everyone.

I haven't been able to find anything about court dates on line. It may be that they are waiting on autopsy results for more charges before setting any dates.

I did find this. BBM

And this.
Judge's Calendars | Effingham County, GA

Under Chief Judge F. Gates Peed, click on Criminal Motions Calendar. Go to bottom of page three. There is an entry for Mark Anthony Wright who is one of the defendants. Could not copy it.
This is what we learned about through the media articles.

Thank you for the link watcher! I looked at the other ones & they sure don't keep their records updated. One was from 2017, and another was for Feb. 5th...

Elywn was also in court on the 5th, but didn't see anything for him. Guess he had no motions, just a prelim hearing.

A Superior Court judge denied bond for Elwyn Crocker Sr. and for Wright, who told investigators he was previously unaware the girl was dead.

Also charged are Candice Crocker's mother, Kim Wright, and Kim Wright's boyfriend, Roy Anthony Prater.

All five suspects remain jailed.

The Judge has also imposed a gag order prohibiting attorneys and investigators from discussing the case outside court.

Authorities: Buried girl had been beaten, starved and caged

It came before the vote on a bill authored by Rep. Bill Hitchens, a Republican from Effingham County, where the bodies of Mary and Elwin Crocker Jr. were unearthed. Five people, including four family members, have been charged in connection with their torture, starvation and death. The bill was intended to make it harder for people to pull their children out of school under the guise of homeschooling them without actually doing so.

The bill had originally required more reporting from parents who home- school their children, but ran into resistance from the Georgia Home Education Association, which argued that more home-school regulation would not result in less abuse.

After intense negotiations and seven or eight rewrites, the final version simply directs schools to contact the Division of Family and Children Services when parents of children who have dropped out of school don’t file a notice of intent to home-school them. It passed, 135-28.

No word yet.
"he [Elwyn Sr.] did admit that mary crocker was in fact kept in a dog kennel, naked, in the kitchen the common area of the house, was zip tied so that she would not get out. We also learned from Mr. Crocker that, that was a form of punishment that she had food withheld from her," Detective Abby Brown, Effingham County Sheriff's Office says.
...
"We also learned through our investigation that they would do things to her food, such as putting rice vinegar in it and so forth to make it taste bad in hopes that she would not eat. They would not allow her to eat and if she did it was special food that was made just for her," Brown said.
...
The details are so horrific it prompted some change at the state capitol. Case files show the two teens were homeschooled. So, in March, Georgia lawmakers introduced a bill that would strengthen homeschool regulations. The bill stops parents from removing kids from school to avoid following attendance and disciplinary laws. It would also notify the Department of Family services if a child is withdrawn from school.

Human garbage IMO.

We drove past the house of horrors today and said a prayer for those poor kids. It breaks my heart to even think about what they endured.

Thanks for doing this.
It must have been very hard to see those two crosses there, probably planted by neighbors. It sure brought tears to my eyes, knowing what happened.
