Illinois is one of the strictest states as far as the children go. Child services has always been a priority to our government. If dcfs had been contacted previously, I could almost guarantee that it was followed up on, it probably just went on to be ‘unfounded’

I’m just hoping one day we can solve this homeschool crisis.
Yet here we are again. Neighbors made calls, child is dead, and this entity denies it.

Neighbors say there are fights that happen here that have spilled into the streets from this home. Police have been at this home repeatedly according to neighbors.

Wow. Another stellar job by the Child and family services, and the courts.
SMH. Because everyone but the children have rights.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Here’s a video report from local Fox 32 reporter, Tia Ewing, (3 hours ago).

She said the mother has 3 children and Andrew (AJ) has a 3-year-old younger brother. The reporter said near the beginning of the video, that everyone she’s talked to “in the public” have not seen Andrew since last week.

He's dead??? They found the body of Andrew?
The home has been declared a crime scene. Parents at police station being questioned. Dogs hit on trunk of car. Sorry. It hasn't been stated he's dead. Sadly though this story has been played out all too often. Only victim, perp, time, and place being different.
I would love to be proven wrong.
MOO

Where did you read the bit about the dogs and the trunk of a car?

24 hours after he was reported missing, whereabouts of 5-year-old Andrew Freund of Crystal Lake remain unknown

Chicago Tribune
April 19, 2019 - 10:10am

The whereabouts of a 5-year-old Crystal Lake boy remained unknown Friday, a day after he was reported missing. No new information about the search for the boy was reported by police Friday morning, but late Thursday authorities were checking Crystal Lake Beach and a neighbor’s pool.

The boy, Andrew “AJ” Freund, was last seen at bedtime, about 9 p.m., on Wednesday in the family home in the first block of Dole Avenue. After waking up Thursday morning and being unable to find him in the home, Andrew’s parents reported the boy missing, police said in a news release.

The FBI was called in Thursday to help in the search. FBI agents who specialize in missing children cases are working closely with Crystal Lake detectives, police said.

Authorities were seen coming out of the family home Thursday carrying bags. Police dogs also were at the scene. Dole Avenue was blocked off by police vehicles.

Neighbors said they saw the family leave the home with police around noon.
