The little girl, middle far left. Who is that?
April Tinsley I think.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards familial DNA linking the perp to Delphi. Just a hunch but as good as any, I guessOnly the theory that links the perp to the vehicle referred to in the pc, as that parking spot would not be a known or obvious place to park for access to the trails unless you had knowledge of it . Moo.
Or potentially, the equally tired ,familial dna link gained by le from crime scene after analysis. Linking perp to a known Delphi originating family. Moo
Hence asking for other opinions
That's basically what I've been thinking since the PC. Much "sound and fury, signifying nothing," to distract from their own blunders. I'm inclined to think LE changed direction not because they suddenly unearthed evidence that the new sketch better represents BG, but because they finally ruled out the man depicted in the old sketch. The new sketch, whatever their misgivings about it, is better than no sketch (esp. if LE anticipated the public might be getting disgruntled with them for going back to square one).42,000 tips.
Some from crazy people. Some from vindictive people. Most though are from people trying to help, but it’s hard to send in a good solid helpful tip if you have no information. Imagine if your neighbor called and said they needed help with a problem at their house and when you asked them to describe what kind of problem it was they sent you a picture of a wall, but wouldn’t tell you anything else. You would not be able to help. You might come up with 42,000 tips too and none of them would help!
This is a very sad day for this case I think. Two weeks ago LE released a smidgen of new information and a ton of drama and I was sucked in by it all. They presented everything as if something big was breaking. I noticed like others did that what they said was in stark contrast to how they said it. I now think all that was just to distract us from the fact that, and let’s not sugarcoat it here, LE has spent two years investigating the wrong guy. Totally and completely. The right guy, they apparently were made aware of four days after the murders.
LE doesn’t get a pat on the back for 42,000 tips.
Maybe the shift from looking for some random guy from who knows where to someone familiar or even living in Delphi. THAT alone is significant IMHO."Directly to the killer who may be in this room. We believe you are hiding in plain sight. For more than two years you never thought we would shift gears to a different investigative strategy but we have.:
So what is the "different investigative strategy"? Releasing one more word in the audio? Releasing a new sketch that looks so contrary to the video of BG? To ask about a vehicle at the social service building? Having a press conference that pokes at the perp and creates a frenzy?
I am just thinking, if I saw someone like this on the bridge before me, I'd probably turn around and go back, and fast (thinking it is an exhibitionist). But if I saw him on the trail, I'd probably not look at him, but lower my head and try to pass by as fast as possible, hoping he'd pay no attention to me. So maybe it is not that the memory is good, it is that simply, the person did not take a good look?
The second witness could be, likely, a guy (guys, especially past their 20-es, are less scared of these creeps as they don't give similar vibes to them).

I like your theory, it sounds very plausible to me. Deprivation, frustration, rage- everything in it fits in a larger horrific picture of this crime.
This appears to be a stereotype that matches reality.Yes, I agree. Maybe she didn´t take a good look.
Which leads me to another question I´d love to know the answer to- what did the girls do when they noticed him behind? Did they try to go back past him, did they run towards the creek or did they just stand there on the spot overwhelmed by fear?
And yet another thing that´s been a lot on my mind lately- what if the whole thing was staged?
His appearance that is "out of place" somehow, his motives unknown, maybe deliberately chosen look alike of a highly stereotyped sexually driven crime?
Maybe these are the things that seem out of joint, Margarita 25?
Things like that are usually triggers, but not the underlying motive. It could be so many different things other than a sexual motivation.
An on or off-site job accident that resulted in significant and permanent impairment.
The breakup of a romantic relationship, that could have ended years before the murders.
A car accident that took from him a close family or friend.
So many dozens of possibilities.
Does anyone think the perpetrator sent letters to LE? Maybe provoked the department to do the press conference? Perhaps the emotional comments made by Carter were in essence responding to him?
Just curious.
Thanks all!
I hope so, but I doubt it.Does anyone think the perpetrator sent letters to LE? Maybe provoked the department to do the press conference? Perhaps the emotional comments made by Carter were in essence responding to him?
