IMO, this dude clearly took this precious girl's life and came up with this horrible explanation. Yeah, I'm sure you wouldn't remember 24 hours if you had spent that time murdering a 5 year old. Amazing how he has no memory of anything, he woke up already IN THE TRUCK, but somehow had the ability to describe the exterior of said truck but not anything about these 3 men other than "they were Hispanics".

Well, if you can't remember 24 hours you can't answer questions about those 24 hours. Very convenient.

Stepfather now person of interest in case of missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis, police say

Police: Vence's story not consistent
Sugar Land police said they went to the Methodist Hospital Saturday because Vence showed up there with flesh wounds. They took video but handed it over to the Houston Police Department, who is investigating the case. Sugar Land police said Vence’s has changed his story several times during the course of his interview.

Police said it was different elements that had changed, such as how he got to the hospital. Sugar Land police contacted HPD since it was a crime that had happened outside of their city.

Sugar Land police also said the still photo of the silver Nissan seen on Saturday around 3 p.m. came from their license recognition camera close to the Cheesecake Factory near First Colony Mall.

MOO: let’s stop talking about Facebook so we don’t get shut down. ❤️

Maleah Davis update: Stepdad's initial story didn't add up, Sugar Land police say
[...]

Vence arrived at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital Saturday night, appearing to have fresh wounds from an attack. He said he had been in and out of consciousness since the attack and didn't really know where he was until 6 p.m. Saturday. That's when he said he walked to the hospital for treatment.

I believe BB2 said she was there Monday doing laundry. Then flew to MA on Tuesday with the funeral on Wednesday.

So the last person beside BB and DV to see Maleah that we know of is BB2. The last people assumed to have seen Maleah would be BB & DV on Tuesday before BB left. Beyond that I have not seen any reports of anyone else seeing Maleah.

Yes, you are right. So really, she could have been missing ever earlier/longer.

Again, I think the story is that he was riding around in the extended cab of the truck for almost 24 hours then woke up when he was dumped on the side of the road in Sugar land. So, he and the baby weren’t on the side of the road for 24 hours. The baby was contained in the truck with him. JMO
He was in and out of consciousness, then woke up at 6 p.m. on the side of the road, said he tried to get help and tried to flag someone down, but nobody would help. He arrived at the hospital 10-11 p.m. (Some reports say 9 - 10 p.m.)

He said he was in and out of consciousness until about 6 p.m. Saturday, when he woke up on Highway 6 with the 2-year-old boy. Maleah was missing, Vence said.

This source says flesh. IMO probably both. A fresh flesh wound. IMO as a nurse that is what it looks like to me.

Fresh flesh wounds, sounds right.

Intensive search underway for girl, 4, whose stepfather says she was abducted on a Texas highway
“Vence told police he was in and out of consciousness for almost 24 hours WHILE BEING DRIVEN AROUND IN THE TRUCK WITH THE CHILDREN. He woke up with his son on the side of a road in Sugar Land on Saturday around 6 p.m. and ultimately walked to a hospital, he said.”

Conflicting information from Maleah Davis' stepdad leads to new search locations
[...]

Texas Equusearch has now moved its search to the area around the stepfather’s home.

Texas EquuSearch set up its command post in the parking lot next door to the apartments where Maleah Davis is said to have lived with her mom and stepdad when she went missing.

[...]

Rain is hampering search efforts as Texas EquuSearch volunteers move their search nearly an hour away from the original search scene and closer to Sugar Land where Maleah’s stepfather Darion Vence says he was left on a roadside after being abducted in northeast Houston.

Sugar Land is also the location where he told detectives he realized Maleah was missing.

"We’re right next to the apartment complex where we think she disappeared from," says Miller.

Miller is now saying he questions whether 4-year-old Maleah Davis was ever at the scene where volunteers spent a day and a half searching.

“I believe that car is a big part of the puzzle. We were out until—some of them—four o’clock in the morning, when there’s not a lot of traffic and the parking lots are kind of empty, searching for the car.”

Maleah’s biological father told Fox 26 on Tuesday that he was searching the Brazos River for any signs of that missing car, a silver Nissan Altima with paper plates reading 3092G9.

He had a tough time keeping the lies in order.....

Initially, police said he told detectives that he walked to the hospital after being in and out of consciousness for almost 24 hours before reporting her missing. But then, officials from the Sugar Land Police Department -- which is helping Houston police with the investigation -- told Fox 26 Tuesday afternoon that Vence said he was dropped off, making his story inconsistent.

Stepfather of missing Houston girl, 4, 'person of interest' in her disappearance, report says

Because she may not have known the kids were missing. By piecing together accounts, it appeared the plan was for her sister to pick up Maleah and the older brother, but only picked up the brother because Maleah was "sick." DV has family in the area so she could not know if her youngest son was missing or with someone else.

Her plane was late and she got picked up after midnight, so perhaps just thought DV was circling at airport or out partying.
Thanks, I didn’t know that part.
