Well, at long last, maybe an answer to why this disappearance has seemed so strange in itself and in the way it has been covered. We know that authorities (from the now notorious Rochdale cases involving young girls) seem to have difficulties in dealing with cases where potential victim and potential perpetrators come from different communities. I think we see this in many US cases as well.
Clearly, more sensitivity is needed in these circumstances. I totally "get it" that certain minorities will attract more abuse and vitriol from press/public if they are suspected and that is very regrettable. But any male in Leah's life (and their associates), particularly if there were conflicts and tensions, has to, statistically, be top of the list for suspects, especially if married. You can certainly understand the family's frustrations. Could Leah have been pregnant maybe?
