When DV says he did more of the daily care for Maleah than her bio parents, I actually think he might be telling the truth. Several different sources have mentioned that claim or that impression. But you know what you shouldn't do if you feel overwhelmed or resentful about caring for somebody else's preschooler? Kill them and dump them on the side of the road.

Yes! You’ve made me laugh in a really dark way, but I agree with both points absolutely.

I also think that BB is trying to keep DV on side, either because she is still in love with him or because he could do her some damage by being honest with LE. Or both.

Does anyone know how long the evaluation takes and for results to be returned to whoever requested it?
I don't think it matters to LE. He told them where baby girl was, so he has intimate knowledge of her death. I think they are tying up loose ends for others they are going to charge so they can do it all at once. This evaluation is something his attorney is doing. Last I checked, LE doesn't do a mental exam before they charge someone.

CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CHAPTER 46B. INCOMPETENCY TO STAND TRIAL
Art. 46B.004. RAISING ISSUE OF INCOMPETENCY TO STAND TRIAL. (a) Either party may suggest by motion, or the trial court may suggest on its own motion, that the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial. A motion suggesting that the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial may be supported by affidavits setting out the facts on which the suggestion is made.

(b) If evidence suggesting the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial comes to the attention of the court, the court on its own motion shall suggest that the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial.

(c) On suggestion that the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial, the court shall determine by informal inquiry whether there is some evidence from any source that would support a finding that the defendant may be incompetent to stand trial.

(c-1) A suggestion of incompetency is the threshold requirement for an informal inquiry under Subsection (c) and may consist solely of a representation from any credible source that the defendant may be incompetent. A further evidentiary showing is not required to initiate the inquiry, and the court is not required to have a bona fide doubt about the competency of the defendant. Evidence suggesting the need for an informal inquiry may be based on observations made in relation to one or more of the factors described by Article 46B.024 or on any other indication that the defendant is incompetent within the meaning of Article 46B.003.

(d) If the court determines there is evidence to support a finding of incompetency, the court, except as provided by Subsection (e) and Article 46B.005(d), shall stay all other proceedings in the case.

(e) At any time during the proceedings under this chapter after the issue of the defendant's incompetency to stand trial is first raised, the court on the motion of the attorney representing the state may dismiss all charges pending against the defendant, regardless of whether there is any evidence to support a finding of the defendant's incompetency under Subsection (d) or whether the court has made a finding of incompetency under this chapter. If the court dismisses the charges against the defendant, the court may not continue the proceedings under this chapter, except that, if there is evidence to support a finding of the defendant's incompetency under Subsection (d), the court may proceed under Subchapter F. If the court does not elect to proceed under Subchapter F, the court shall discharge the defendant.

From my understanding, a road worker reported finding a suspicious bag earlier. No one followed up on the report though. They may have been cleaning up for the next road crew that followed. A road crew will pick up prior to the crew that does the mowing... I'll stop there.
Thank God they did leave her, as awful it sounds. Imagine if they scooped her up,thinking she was an animal carcas and hauled her to the rendering plant. She would never have been found. Serendipity shone through for Sweet Maleah. Thank the Angel's in heaven.
MOO

I understand what you’re saying but WTF kind of world do we live in when it’s a blessing she was left on the side of the road? Poor sweet soul.

How many others do you guys think will be arrested?

I think 2 but one of them will plead it down to nothing. I fully believe many more were complicit in the coverup but won’t be charged.
I think it depends on if he crossed state lines alone to dump Maleah, or if had his mistress help,or that close Family member QX mentioned.

I wonder if the supervisor had them leave it there because it's someone else's job to pick up such things as animal remains, such as Animal Control or whatever they call it.
It does seem like fate or some type of spiritual intervention, that her body did not end up in the landfill or, like Tim Miller said, she may have never been found. Imo

I watched BB's interview today on ABC13 and I just want to shake her awake!! The ME confirmed to her that the bits found inside a garbage bag that was tossed outside on a lonely highway are her child, yet she can't tell us that's she outraged.

She can't tell us that she's angry at the person or person's that committed this horrific act on her only daughter? Instead she repeats that she's numb, or doesn't know what she feels.

The fact that she was last seen April 30 creates a huge window for her possible TOD, including when BB was at the house.

I don't personally believe BB was directly involved. But it gives me the heebie jeebies that she would lie (IMO) about not knowing Maleah was at the house.

What happened then that would make you lie about that?
