New Canaan Police are looking for a missing woman Saturday, May 25.

Jennifer Dulos, 50, was reported missing around 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 24. A sliver alert has been issued.

New Canaan Police with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police initiated a search and an investigation both of which are ongoing as of 8:45 am. Saturday..

Anyone with information related to Dulos’s whereabouts should contact Sgt. Joseph Farenga at 203-505-1332.

Missing Connecticut Mom's Estranged Husband, Girlfriend Appear Before Judge; Search Continues For Jennifer Dulos
CBS2’s Tony Aiello was in the courthouse on Monday and offered specific details about the intense investigation that is underway. Fotis Dulos and Troconis are charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice. Police tracked Fotis Dulos’ cellphone and based on that uncovered surveillance video, which allegedly shows him leaving various items around Hartford, Conn., in trash containers. Those items were then analyzed by police and tested positive for Jennifer Dulos’ blood, Aiello reported.

Fotis Dulos and Troconis are also accused of obfuscating the lettering on a license plate, perhaps so they wouldn’t be tracked as they drove around, Aiello reported.

On Sunday night, another vigil was held for Jennifer Dulos at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New Canaan.

She was in the midst of a bitter divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband when she went missing on May 24. Police believe she was last seen dropping off her five kids at New Canaan Country School that morning. Later that night, they found her empty car near Waveny Park.

One another note: case was transferred to Stamford, which is typical for more serious crimes. If Fotis Dulos doesn’t post bond today, he will have to do so at the courthouse in Stamford and there must be a bond hearing there beforehand. @News12CT

Her kids are pining for their mother but they are probably feeling the same about their father.
Their world has been turned upside down.
What a nightmare.

Losing their mother is a nightmare but maybe they aren't pining for the father and are relieved.

I was the child of a monster and, trust me, I never pined. My sister and I celebrated.

JD just filed contempt request due to his failing to disclose his financials. Less than 2 weeks later, JD went missing.

And we’ve seen that type of thing serve as a trigger before.

In 1997, Robert Angleton, a wealthy Texas bookmaker, allegedly had his brother murder his estranged wife.

The two were in the process of a divorce, and Angleton was apparently concerned that his his illegal career was about to be uncovered.

She wanted 50% of the assets, and felt that he was hiding money from her.

He decided to have his brother kill her instead. In his case, it kind of worked out.

His brother confessed to the crime in a suicide note, but let Robert off the hook.

He served prison for his financial crimes (tax evasion), but not for murder.

In this case, I think FD realized that his financial house of cards was about to be exposed, and killed Jennifer in an attempt to prevent that.

He obviously failed.

Responding to the question on the last thread about why harm/kill JD now?

It has been dragged out AND he was losing. The arguments he made in court about her mental illness went nowhere. The kid's attorney (that he paid half for) advocated against him at every turn (for good reason from my perspective but I am sure not his).

IMO, he wanted the kids so she would have to pay him support. Or, at the very least, split custody so he would not have to pay support. He was losing and would have to pay her support.

Her mother had amped up the repayment suit AND he had paid some funds back so he was going to lose. His business was in the toilet AND she would always have a large trust fund that he could not access.

Killing her and getting the kids means that he would have a positive cash flow to do the things he loved, get out of the overpriced houses he built, and support his new woman and her child.
