Interesting thread here-Matt Masterson (@ByMattMasterson) | Twitter
Following up on this note from yesterday: The FBI said it has sent Christensen's DNA to multiple jurisdictions to test it against evidence collected in these various cases
There haven't been any hits, but the FBI agent testifying yesterday said some results are still pending. The DNA was only sent out in March (!!!!!!!!curse)
Some of those 19 missing and murdered women were named in court yesterday. The one that stuck out most was 21-year-old Brittany Zimmermann (does anybody have knowledge of this case by any chance??)
Zimmermann was studying at UW-Madison in 2008 when she was stabbed to death inside her Doty Street home. The case was never solved and has remained a sore point in Madison in the time since.
Zimmermann called 911 as she was being attacked, but the call was dropped and the police dispatcher never called back.
Justice for Brittany - Ten years later and no arrest in 2008 murder
FBI Agent Special Andrew Huckstadt, who testified Friday and Monday in the Christensen trial, did not say whether Zimmermann's case was one of the ones that's been cleared, or if the DNA comparison is still pending.
Christensen graduated from UW-Madison in 2013. But he did not appear to arrive on campus until 2009 - a year after Zimmermann was murdere
