“The Duke of Kent could face a police investigation after he was involved in a car crash with a student in Brighton.

The Queen's 83-year-old cousin was driving a Jaguar when he collided with another car in Sussex earlier this month.

Olivia Fellows, 21, claimed her Mini was written off in the incident on 2 June.”

2019 has not been a good year so far for the royals with accidents.

I hope Ms. Mayor can recover as best as possible.

I'd be happy to wear Kate's dress and hat (not the heels!), but I'm 69 years old. The dress is a bit matronly for Kate. It reminds me of the blush dress and hat she wore for Pippa's wedding: Exquisite outfit but much too matronly for the Duchess of Cambridge.

I have to admit I love this matronly style that's fashionable now. I much prefer it to the ridiculous things Americans wear at the musical awards etc. But I've always been hopelessly old fashioned myself.

I suspect a Caesarean section. I had a C-section and my work allowed 3 months off, while natural delivery was 6 weeks. I also noticed that she looked pregnant in that white dress when her and Harry showed the baby. It took me months to get my waist line back.

Snip

While Meghan will likely take a three-to-five month maternity leave, with possible public appearances sprinkled in earlier, Harry has not taken paternity leave.

;) You thought it was Lizzie didn't you?

Absolutely I did but she only had 13. And what a hoot, not meaning to follow Royal stuff, but I'm watching a TV show right now and guess who the first head of state was to send an email!

HINT, the answer is not Queen Victoria this time

Thank u for posting them. Kate doesn't always copy to the detail. However, she has been known to take the D's outfit and use it in a personal way.
What I saw was:
Similar bow
Similar hat
Similar "dot" thought
Similar pleats
Similar long sleeves...
And this was wore at the 84 Ascot when she was pregnant with Harry; who just had his own baby.
I'd like to think that is why Late wore blue.
Idk....I'd like to think I'm right.

I wish I knew how to post pics. In 1984 Princess Diana attended Ascot.
Kate does like to reflect Diana's choice of clothes from time to time. I like the principle behind it.
MOO but I think the outfits are very similar.

Yes!! You and I had the same thoughts! It’s like we can remember each outfit she wore and when

We are kindred spirits

I forgot about this picture (Source: Instagram)
Some styles stick around a lot longer. William & Kate dress Prince George like this still.
The hats that both Princess Diana and the lady behind her are wearing are still being worn. Cool.
Long live the Kangol, fanny pack, and Adidas track pants!

Aye, but you forget in the U.K. they are granted much longer maternity leave then us in the US (of course I’m assuming you are on the US as you mentioned only 6 weeks) and well, she’s royalty, she can take as much as she needs, right? Lol

ETA: I do have to admit, her face still looks fuller even a month out from the birth. Granted, it suits her, but I thought for sure she would have slimmed in the face by now as she has always had a svelte figure. You could be right about a c section as you can not go right back into exercise etc after. And she was over due by reported accounts. So not illogical thinking

This Is What Princess Diana Wore to Ascot in the '80s

I remember getting my copy of Majesty magazine in 1987; tender age of 14, and seeing Diana in that flowered puffed shoulder coat-skirt suit and just being so in love with it, just admiring it and her in it.

Aww, the memories and the innocence of youth. So miss everything about that.

Assumption correct.

Of course that was 34 years ago. When my older sister had her daughter natural 48 yrs ago she was back at work 3 days later.

I think she looks great, and good fun to be around

I have seen them in my Majesty magazines over the years, only reason I am familiar lol

King Willem Alexander became king in 2013,when his mother Queen Beatrix left the throne (can’t think of right word there, abdicated? Seceded? Blah I need more coffee lol)

A little bit about Holland’s royal family
I think many might even recognize Former Queen Beatrix maybe

Everything about the Dutch royal family and the royal palaces

I can adapt to change, but I'm basically an old-fashioned girl :) When I saw my dental hygienist yesterday for 6-month cleaning/check-up, it was obvious that she's expecting. DH saw her in April but she didn't mention that she was pregnant and didn't look it. I asked if she was registered and perused her baby registries when I got home. All kinds of new-fangled stuff, most of which doesn't appeal to me. I don't gift people with things I wouldn't want for myself :D I decided that I would stick with my standard, old-fashioned baby gift: A beautiful hardcover version of Beatrix Potter's The Complete Tales of Peter Rabbit with a stuffed animal from the stories - most likely Peter Rabbit in this case (it's a boy).
