Speaking as to whether she was savvy or not, I remember when our family had an online profile for adoption. Even being an attorney, I was unprepared for the potential perps and scams that are rampant online. We had people posing as others, pretending to be people they are not, asking about pictures of our children, even asking to meet up. The sites were supposed to keep our identity from the public but, in one situation, I ended up on the phone with a internet specialist who dealt which child trafficking. His comment was that you would be surprised what perpetrators can tell from pictures. While most adoption/dating/whatever experiences can be good, the internet also allows predators to gain access they might not get otherwise. So, for Kenzie, while she may be savvy to many things, the internet allows for those with evil intent to work without many safeguards. We have no clue who she thought she was meeting and no clue who she actually met.

Also, on the lifestyle question, I can tell you that her parents do not care one bit about what she has done or what she is doing. They love her and want her back. I am a parent and I know if my child was missing, there is absolutely nothing in the world they could do that would keep me from fighting for them every second if they were missing. It does not matter what faith or what belief system you have, when your child is in danger, parents want nothing more than to have their child safe. I pray that Kenzie's family has that blessing.

I am concerned that because of the internet sites she was involved with (not commenting at ALL on the nature of the sites or what they are for), that she could have fallen prey to an online predator who had the upper hand due to the internet. As I said, even with something as benign as an adoption profile, we had it happen many times. For a young girl, just figuring out who she is and what she wants, I believe someone could have taken advantage of her dear free spirit.

But, I pray that Kenzie is found soon and that her sweet family and friends can have peace.

No, if they say cleared, they have positive proof, in this case the driver was driving other people within minutes of dropping her off.

I’m thinking LE also looked at the time and mileage of the other pickups to determine if the driver had time to do anything to her. I would think if there was a lull anywhere he would continue being more of a suspect. Unless he somehow incapacitated her quickly and placed her in the trunk. But then he would have to bet on his other passengers not needing to use the trunk. ETA: im sure LE would of noticed also if there were signs of a struggle like scratches.

But if the driver did something, I’d like to think Kenzie’s friend would have come forward to report that she never showed up. Or that there would be evidence that he/she continued to attempt contact. I know that person may have been behaving clandestinely but it would take a real jerk not to come forward under those circumstances.

In fact maybe they would come forward to avoid becoming a suspect, once it was realized Kenzie is missing.

The only person saying she was going to meet someone there or had a car waiting is the driver

Bringing this Online Only webcam thing she was a part of over to this thread. If anyone knows how this works, please share your knowledge with us.

Camming is a thing. I've done a little bit, years ago. At the time, phones weren't the medium. Dating/alternative websites had a cam function. Much fun was had.

People PAY for watching?? I wuz robbed.

And i am sure that LE have talked to other passengers that the driver picked.

The only other scenario I could see with the driver is if he got to the park, took her stuff away, and had an accomplice waiting for her at the park. But I’m assuming LE can access Lyft records to ensure she put the address in to Hatch Park when she requested the Lyft.

Can anyone clarify if the Lyft driver said that they watched ML get into the waiting car? Or did they drive away while she was in between vehicles? I find it odd that whoever was in that car didn't get out to help her load her large luggage into the trunk.

They now have her phone records so it's quite possible they now have more than just the drivers word for it. Also, Lyft has a record showing that the driver was picking up another passenger shortly after dropping her off. Since LE has said the driver is cleared, they must not believe he was able to have committed a crime the time between dropping KL off and picking up the next passenger.

Kinda makes you wonder doesn’t it. Hmm

I wonder if the driver had dropped off other pretty young ladies off at the park that hour. Until she’s found everyone is a suspect in my suspicious eyes.

She put in her destination when she requested the LYFT ride. The driver has no control over what the person requesting to be picked up puts in for their destination. LYFT verified that there were no changes or variations to the route.

If this was the case, wouldn't an exchange have to happen at the airport? IIRC you have to put the destination in first and then a drive will pick you. It sounds like she wasn't in any distress at the airport and didn't make any suspicious contact with anyone there . So that still begs the question why and who did she plan on meeting there?

For those that follow the FB groups, please go have a quick look. I won’t post the news here (under terms of service) but there’s a big tip floating around right now that’s pretty interesting.

True. But she requested this destination at the time she booked the Lyft. So if not to meet someone, why request to go to a park, in the middle of the night, with your giant rolling suitcase & large carry-on tote? I think driver told the truth & the real issue is how many SDs does she have & who are they.
