Demonstrators seek to keep AJ's memory alive as case against parents proceeds

On Tuesday, Cunningham and Freund made brief appearances before being returned to jail. Prosecutors want fingerprint and hair samples from each and their defense attorney did not object.

Both are due back before Judge Robert Wilbrandt on July 16 when a fitness evaluation for Andrew Freund might be completed.​

I won't be at rest until both of these monsters are behind bars for as long as possible.

I have a feeling AF is blaming this all on JC and is working with the prosecution for a reduced sentence. It's such a shame that nobody was there to protect this innocent child.
 
This baby needs to be as far away from her birth mother as absolutely possible. Hopefully the "right" thing is going to be done for this child. No more FU's.

Give this child the life she deserves.

Freund, Sr. (60) “father” arrested (4/24/19), charged (4/25/19), indicted (5/9/19) & arraigned (5/10/19) with 5 counts of 1st degree murder, 3 counts of aggravated battery, 1 count of aggravated domestic battery, 1 count of failure to report death of child, 1 count of concealing a homicidal death (burying body), 1 count concealing death of a person, 1 count of circumstance of endangerment/death, 1 count abuse of corpse, 1 count of destroying evidence, 1 count of false info to LE, 2 counts of aggravated battery to child, 1 count of reckless conduct/great bodily harm, 1 count of unlawful restraint & 1 count of causing child to be endangered. Plead not guilty. $5M bond.

5/30/19: Custody hearing: 4 year old place in temporary foster care. Cunningham is currently pregnant and expected to give birth within weeks. Assistant State’s Attorney Julia Almeida said her office had not received the results of the DNA testing for the younger brother & Freund. She set June 23 as the deadline. The testing could have a bearing on custodial rights Andrew Freund has. Next Status & motions hearing on 6/18 for both.

6/28/19 Update: A paternity test has confirmed that slain Crystal Lake boy AJ Freund and his younger brother have the same father. Andrew Freund Sr is the Father of the 2 boys.
