It just occurred to me that even if Kenzie had been reported missing on the 18th, it was too late to save her.
Hell, even the 17th may have been too late.

That’s when the first fire occurred, which tells me that Kenzie was almost certainly dead at that point.

Say she was reported missing right away, law enforcement still wouldn’t have had access to her cell phone records until days later.

That’s what probably broke this in the first place.

Not alleging alien conspiracy or supernatural event, maybe just another oddity in this case.

Note that many here questioned certain photo images from online finds, if the same individual SLCPD identified as POI, AJ. We determined a few photos were not POI but most of those online photos questioned were ultimately confirmed, not by comparing facial characteristics instead using info from personal bio of AJ. Anyway, just viewed online booking photo at Fox13 and surprise, did not recognize him. Finally realize he has one of those faces and physiques to where he looks completely different in nearly every photo image.

Over the years, seen this occurrence with several people, like a Defendant in T Grinstead case but not to this extent.

Forgive me for asking what might be obvious. My internet is going in and out (driving me nuts!). While the connection is up for a second, can someone please tell me if ML's body has been found, or if it's just tissue/DNA that has been found.

Thank you for an answer!!

Fingers crossed that my internet stays up....
They only mentioned tissue.
'When asked more directly — "Do you have a body?" — the chief replied: "We’re not confirming that right now."'
Missing University of Utah student was murdered, police say

Just tissue with Kenzie's DNA......moo

Another one gone, so sad.

They had obviously seen each other before according to the friend who says he warned her about him. My question is why would they meet first at the park and not have Lyft just drop her off at his house? I guess if he had this planned ahead of time, meeting at the park would buy some time into anyone knowing his address. I don’t think he necessarily subdued her at all, why would he need to? She prob thought they were going back to his house to do what they do just like times before - until it was too late. :(
In terms of being subdued, I think it's a question because her phone was turned off very shortly after she entered his vehicle.

Military Record

KSL Investigates has uncovered new information regarding Ajayi’s involvement with the military. On his LinkedIn profile, Ajayi indicates he was employed by the U.S. Army as an Information Technology Specialist from September 2014 through June 2016.

Representatives with the Utah Army National Guard confirmed Private Ayoola Ajayi was a member of the 214th Forward Support Company based out of Tooele. However, he did not attend basic or advanced individual trainings and was discharged on June 10, 2015 after six months of service.

The Utah Army National Guard told us he could not have been a member of both the active Army and the Army National Guard at the same time. The spokesperson for the Utah Army National Guard says Ajayi’s dates don’t match official records.

I didn't realize they had been aware of one another before . . . interesting. Possible that he had promised her a night out, maybe in a hotel room, a surprise, but not a return to his house, thus the pick-up in the park??

if you see it....say it....
i feel like there were red flags everywhere with this guy .... nobody said a word....
There were a few red flags, but I don't really see a whole that would have raised suspicion. He was a bit creepy with one guest, but that could be just being overly friendly. He had the weird request to the contractor, but again, that could have easily been explained. He had a book about some bad things. Steven King writes tons of them. He did have, apparently, some pretty creepy on-line profiles. I haven't seen those. Maybe some of that should have been followed up on, but by who?

AA = AYOOLA AJAYI, the POI, perp, accused, suspect, arrestee.
Because people don't use actual names here.
Who did you THINK I meant??

Something else, since you used the phrase "AA is exactly what I thought the perp would turn out to be, with the exception of him being from Africa". Emphasis by me.

It wouldn't have been confusing if you stated "who" and left off the being from Africa bit.

Confusing.

Of course not, but would you go to an ATM in a high crime area in the middle of the night?

No.

Should you be able to? Yes.

In a lot of situations, our safety is up to us. We can’t control what violent predators do, but we can control what we do.

That’s the point.

Now, I’m not willing to dig into that sort of thing here, because we don’t know the specifics yet.

But it’s absolutely vital that we learn from situations like this.

Wise words!

Yes and no one likely had all the puzzle pieces at one time, which make it more obvious in retrospect. The contractor likely knew nothing about his book or the feelings of one guest, or of his profiles, for example.

The real issue with focusing on women being more fearful and careful rather than focusing on the root of male hatred of women is that there will always be another girl being murdered. If ML had been more fearful and careful, he would have found another girl to act out his violent misogyny on. By focusing on fear and precautions, the sentiment becomes "Not me, but some other girl, someone who deserves it more for not being careful."

The knee-jerk reaction of hemming yourself in and protecting yourself at the expense of women as a class is understandable, but short sighted.[/Qhave

I think it is just as likely that AA would have murdered a male if the opportunity arose.

She must have known this guy. There’s no way you would meet anyone at 3am at a park unless there was some level of trust there surely?
Awful news, I will never understand how some people are physically capable of horrors like this.
RIP Kenzie
Perhaps she met him months ago and decided he was her type. He then stalked her and posed as someone else contacting her as another person she knew and once arriving at park she realized it was him and he knocked her out somehow. Just my thoughts.

As far as I'm concerned, this guy can't be skewered enough and/or in as many creative ways as possible.

Skewer at will.

Look forward to your review.

JMO.
I would say “don’t give him the added attention.” He’s probably too narcissistic to recognize the skewering but would feel important if anyone took this much time on his disgusting book.

STOP with all the off topic posts and generalizations about male violence. It is creating a lot of work to moderate and clean up ... and, if it continues, a loss of posting privileges will be the result.

This thread is dedicated to discussing Kenzie's case and the specifics involved in her case. Stick to discussing her case only and don't try to solve all the social issues and injustices of the world in this thread.

True, but since we can’t always control another person’s actions, we need to raise our girls on how to be careful. I think “The Gift of Fear” should be required in schools - for girls AND boys (and parents).

That's fine but my point is that instilling even more fear into women as a solution to male violence is a road to nowhere that ultimately just shifts the violence onto women one can (even subconsiously) justify as "asking for it" it for being less careful.

And even if the contractor did know and thought it was really creepy, it's not a crime to write a book, have creepy online profiles and want a soundproof room. Warning signs? Absolutely! But being creepy isn't a crime.

Yeah, that's the strange part. Maybe they've had this arrangement before, meeting at the park, and it's commonplace to her now.

Whatever business or mutually-agreed upon arrangement they had, she was comfortable and happy to see him. Perhaps she'd always turn off her phone as a request of his and he groomed her several times before with a positive outcome? I don't think she was subdued in the car either. I've got this 50 shades of grey image in my mind where ML may have been a little intrigued and excited by these interactions and the quirky requests may have been a little bit of a turn on, having NO idea this guy was a lunatic.
