Ajayi is said to have admitted corresponding with Lueck via text on June 16, but denied any further contact afterwards and said he never arranged to meet the slain sorority girl.

He allegedly told police he has no idea what she looks like, but investigators say they have found photos of Lueck on his phone, including pictures of her 'online profile'.

If she was getting 'regular monthly payments' then I now understand why she agreed to meet him at 3 am. She had an agreement and a commitment to him because of the financial arrangement. In my opinion, it is a form of bondage.

Exactly. And the contractor saying that he said money is no object makes me think he made that claim freely. He used the "I have money to throw" line to get what he wants. I can easily see this being an option for what happened. He has been giving her money/ promising more money/ whatever. And to me, you know when you wear your cozy clothes to go meet with a guy? When you already have an established demeanor with him. That's when you go see him just like you are! And yeah. I would take my suitcase straight from the airport to go sleep by him. (Not HIM him, but the "him" in the scenario lol). As a matter of fact, I did just that before. I got off the plane from Vegas and a guy I had been dating called while I was waiting for my luggage. I took a cab to him rather than home. With my bags. Just how I got off the plane. Hair in a bun and hung over and everything.

I don’t know if it’s ok for me to respond on that but I’ve always wondered why drugs are illegal when technically alcohol and nicotine are drugs that are legal and they contribute to the most death, on average, than any other drug out there. I just feel that the law should be a little more consistent sometimes otherwise it makes it hard for people to understand.

Do we know if ML was dating the POI or has it been reported she had some other type of relationship with POI?

It is quite an issue; I believe books by Gabor Maté, a renowned Canadian physician, are very illustrative.

I don’t know what kind of a relationship ML had with AA, it is probably all part of the investigation now.

For me, ML's death crystalized how dangerous all these platforms we depend on can be. Three or more platforms facilitated this murder: Lyft, Airbnb, Tinder and Special Arrangements. That we know of.

Moreover, ML extensive online presence and her friends materializing on line gives us the feeling that we know her. So death becomes more personal. Same for AA, his online presence cloaks his true self and we can experience how individuals manipulate their image. In his case, we know who he is and the lies he peddled to conceal true self.

The victim, the murderer, their Internet tools irradiate our experience, distorting our usual distance from these horrors.

I don’t believe the police ever mentioned anything other than she was dating? Where are people drawing conclusions about a “lifestyle”? Have LE or friends mentioned this?

Have you missed the entire Sugar Daddy / Sugar Baby lifestyle she had been involved with? LE was aware of it. Our Verified Insider talked about it. Kenzie posted about it.

Nothing has been said whether that is what was going on here. So, we don't know whether or not she knew this guy in some other capacity. Law enforcement has not said they were dating.

He is a sick . Poor ML, her family and friends. And I hope the UT and TX LE will comb through all other disappearances of young women because I am almost sure ML is not the first one. From his friend’s account, he doesn’t seem to be particular to any specific ethnicity, it is important as we have women of all ethnic groups, all races, who disappeared. (Check all his trips, too, that he might have had).

Yes! In Britain, a man had a cluster fly infestation (huge Brit fly) and his neighbors called the police voicing suspicions he had hidden body in his home. It must have been a slow month at the precinct cause the coppers showed up ready to roll! They ransacked his house, the neighbors scrummed around, while he was shaking w/his cup of tea in the garden. Second edit - this article leads you to believe he could face deportation, while this is true, it is only after his sentence is served. Thanks @MassGuy

He will never be deported because he will die in a US jail if he doesn't get the death penalty. I'm thankful Utah is a death penalty state so he will never be free again. And I hope he takes that plea for the sake of ML's family.

Lyft doesn't seem to have anything to do with the murder. She could have taken any other transport service, including a taxi. We don't know if Airbnb played a factor in this case or that she was even aware of it. The only online connection that seems likely at this point are dating sites. Even then, if he wasn't one of her SDs, she could have known the guy from somewhere else.

You're right but it was used to his advantage. The driver was questioned and vilified, giving AA a few days to be under the radar, and he knew that there wouldn't be a record of his address if she met him at the park.

Yeah, but they got to him through her phone records, so the Lyft connection is irrelevant. Had they obtained the records earlier, this would have been over more quickly.

It's so exceptionally illogical to place any blame at the feet of "platforms" when, exactly what you said - it could have been a taxi.

The Lyft driver has nothing to feel guilty or sorry for. He was just performing a task. Does the person who sold AA the gasoline to start his fire or the ISP that provided his internet have anything to feel guilty for?

Regardless of everything, there's only one thing that facilitated the crime and that was AA's perversion.
