I forwarded to 1:44 to hear the pArt about the 'friend' who warned her about the perp.

I am not sure how credible this person is. Others can listen and see what they think.

From what I got, the man was 'visibly shaken' and crying and cussing and very upset, after attending the presser at the Police Station. He stopped to speak with the reporter and told her he didn't want to be identified, but he was 'an online friend' of ML's, and he knew about the suspect and he and ML had talked about him, and he told her he didn't have a good feeling about him.

So it was not a real life close friend that had seen ML with the suspect, or ever met the suspect. So it has a bit less credibility for me.

But I will say, that at the end of. the day, this guy was right when he said he felt the guy was bad news. :(
I thought that while they had met online, they were not necessarily just “online friends.” That was my impression. Like if I “met” you here but then we started having coffee together in real life.

I can answer your question from my perspective dealing with international students at a university. Nigeria is a country in conflict, to put it mildly. Most applying for a student Visa (F-1) are denied. The vetting by our US Consulate is strict. But - since the conflict in that area is fluid, criminal records would be difficult to determine. Also, there are some who are granted student visas (from other countries as well) who never arrive at the university. I hope this was helpful!
Thank you- very helpful information.

It makes you wonder...of course he knew his phone data could reveal this, which then possibly goes against premeditation...

Here’s a question: it was stated his phone was in the same location within a minute. Do we know that this was his personal phone, or another phone he may have tried to hide? Is it possible LE is referring to a second, and what he thought was anonymous burner phone?

I have some experience with this burner phone business and it is not always as anonymous as one might think.

Just a thought.

Whatever phone it was, the implication appears to be that it is the phone that texted Kenzie’s.

Burner or not, it’s his phone.

Stupidity is not a defense, and even smart people make stunning errors.

This guy already had the deck stacked against him in that regard.

Can someone explain to me, why this despicable man would request, what the contractor referred to as a “gaudy hook 7 ft above” in the “sound proof” room project? What would be the purpose?

Watch Criminal Minds if you can stand to see this but these creeps hang women by their hands from ceiling hooks and torture them.

AA wanting the room soundproofed would indicate he didn't want anyone to hear the screams.

I'm guessing those shows are at least loosely based on actual crimes much as I would like to think not.

IIRC, Susanne Gustin was the same attorney who defended Dr. Martin MacNeill who drugged and drowned his wife in the bathtub.

I admit I'm behind whatever & haven't been able to read wahat was posted last night/today. (This has been moving so fast it takes NO time to be!) So I apologize in advance if this has been addressed, but, I was wondering about the Vemo payment that was found & had gone through in the early morning hours the day before she went missing... Was it a payment made to her or a payment she made? (I don't have Vemo so Im not exactly sure how it works but was comparing it to PayPal.)

I think that the decor is “virtual staging”. When homes are empty, the realtor can use an app to “decorate” the home. Look at it closely and you can tell. I went to an open house recently and learn about this first hand.

Wasn't it weird how many garden tools AA had for just a grass-covered suburban lot?

He didn't bring those with him from an apartment so what was the deal?!

(Well, I guess we know. The man had plans. It'll be interesting to see when the tools were purchased. Some looked new.)

I wonder if he recently bought those to use for the purpose of the bonfire.
