Close friend of mine was taped. She would not file charges .did not want family to know. She knew the guy, dated broke it off after a couple of monthß then he waited for her one night. He knew she would be alone. She called me the next morning after he left. Hard to see a friend all bruised up. I feel bad for the victims bit in my heart I would report it for fear of others in the future. We need to keep these monsters from doing what they please and getting off with no punishment. The punishment should be so severe one would not even think of committing an act of violence.

I'm so sorry for your friend that is horrific.

Sadly out of the 230 rapes reported to police only 4.6 will actually go to jail for their crimes. I agree the punishment should be so severe that it makes people think twice before doing it but unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Report details rape allegations against suspect in Mackenzie Lueck killing
More search warrants were served over the weekend in connection with the death of University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck, Salt Lake police confirmed Monday.

Detectives were continuing to collect evidence in anticipation of formal charges being filed against Ayoola Ajayi, 31. Salt Lake Police Sgt. Brandon Shearer declined to say what specifically investigators were looking for, but said one of the warrants was served at Ajayi's house in the Fairpark neighborhood of Salt Lake City, where police have already spent many hours collecting multiple bags of evidence.

[...]

Also Monday, more details were released about a rape investigation involving Ajayi in Cache County in 2014...

[...]

The woman said she told herself at the time, "OK, let's get it over," and then went to the hospital for a sexual assault exam afterward, the report states. The woman told police "she felt that it was her fault because she was not assertive enough," and she declined to press charges.

She also told police that after the alleged assault, she avoided Ajayi at work. When she sent him a text telling him "not to contact her ever again," he responded with "what she described as a not so nice text," according to the report.

Have they officially released how ML knew AA?

To me, it seems she was familiar/ comfortable with him and not trying to "impress". The airport security footage shows a girl who's not dressed up, hair a bit messy/ unkept, and seemingly no make up.

She looks exactly how I would look if I had just buried my grandmother, took a late flight home, arriving at 1 AM ... getting picked up by someone I'm familiar with... boyfriend, good friend, etc.

I'm just not getting a "date vibe", "acquaintance vibe" or "escort vibe" here. But maybe I'm wrong.

Still trying to wrap my head around what she was even doing with someone like this who's almost twice her age.... how did they meet? how do they know each other? So odd.

One of her friends Venmo’d him a payment a couple of years ago so maybe that is how she met him. A drug buy in an empty park next to a police station at 3am doesn’t make sense though and there is no indication of her doing drugs that has come out. The whole thing doesn’t make sense on how he got her to agree on the park.

SABBM:

I've entertained this idea more than once.
It makes logical sense to me, for this reason:
ML may not have wanted to have anything illegal on her person in a Lyft vehicle.
I doubt Lyft drivers are in the habit of transporting people to/from drug buys in the middle of the night.
AA may have come up with the ruse that he'd take her home after she got dropped off.
There's been 0 indication that ML was a drug user, though, so barring evidence of that, it makes this scenario less plausible than alternatives.

One of her friends that was interviewed spoke of ML and AA having some type of "relationship or arrangement" that made him uneasy/uncomfortable, according to the reporter who interviewed him.
"Arrangement" is an interesting choice of words.

We don't know the nature of any relationship or arrangement, if in fact there was any, that existed between the two of them, but I'm convinced if we did know that piece of the puzzle, we'd know why ML agreed to meet him in that parking lot at 3 am.

I think LE does know what the nature of their relationship was, courtesy of the digital/electronic evidence.

The public may have to wait until trial to find out.

JMO.

I believe the term arrangement comes from the site "seeking arrangement .com" popular with SB/D lifestyle community.

They should have titled that video,
Looking Inside The Windows Of The House Where Mackenzie Lueck Was Allegedly Murdered

I wonder how they got permission to go on to the property? I was horrified when the reporter was standing on the burn pile
Agreed! IMO that reporter was highly insensitive...peeking in windows? SMH. Also, it was creepy that AA specifically asked TC to bring her 12 year old daughter to clean. I don't recall hearing that one. Major red flag for me.

But its always red flags after the fact.

I just would like to figure out what type of relationship they had where she was all right with getting dropped off at a park at 3 in the morning right after a funeral.

Murder Of University Of Utah Student Mackenzie Lueck Has Dallas Connection
[...]

According to their marriage license, Ajayi married a woman in Dallas named, TJ.

[...]

“He was threatening me, saying he was going to get me locked up, saying he was going to get me kidnapped, he was going to get me killed and all that, but I stopped talking to him because I just feared for my life,” TJ said.

TJ never reported the incident to police and Ajayi has no criminal record in Dallas.

But the CBS 11 I-Team did ask the police department if officers ever had been in contact with Ajayi while he was here.

There has been no response yet.

What also remains unclear is where Ajayi stayed when he was in Dallas and just how long he was here.

When he got married – records show his wife listed her home address as apartments off Zang Boulevard.

But talking to residents there on Monday, none said they knew or even heard of her.
Hmm...Texas is very fishy.

I'd love to hear one of the FBI's criminal profilers, John Douglas or Bob Ressler or Candance DeLong's insight on AA.

He's a very scary man.

Any LE people who can answer this, perhaps? After LE took the rape report, and told the victim that no meant no,and seemed inclined to press charges, would they not at the very least pay AA a friendly visit after she declined pursuing the charge? Wouldn't he have known there was a police report filed about him? Is there not some duty of care involved?

Imo he was not into BDSM. I said before imo he’s a sexual sadist killer. Two very different things. The room described would be right up a sexual sadist criminal’s alley. Especially if the murder was premeditated; which I believe it was.
Yes, that's what I meant by him having fantasies and ultimately carrying those urges out in real life.
The rape charges, the alleged torture room, and other things might lead one to believe this was premeditated. If those things are indeed true. Imo

She’s almost 24 and he’s 31, not really that much of an age difference. Though IMO he looks older.

I agree, I’d look the same way getting off a plane after my grandmother’s funeral. It is odd and I have those same questions. I’m sure LE have figured out why she met him.

I’m choosing to not discuss it here because her family and friends may be reading.

A friend of ML's Venmo'd AA?

He probably went to basic, recycled a few times then was sent home.
It is possible and not uncommon for someone to be enlisted, at a duty station and waiting for a slot at Basic. Active duty and certain MOS's get priority. I have known of at least one 8 month wait for Basic and AIT who worked daily (paperwork/busy work). The unit deployed without him and he was discharged. He did nothing wrong, there were simply more enlisted newbies who had priority for Basic than he did.

This is correct, the active duty training is the same for Army National Guard as for Active Duty. You only go to basic once. You may repeat difference AIT courses as they are essentially specialty training for the MOS or occupational specialty that you are doing at any given time. If you change positions or go to a new unit you might get to do an additional AIT or Advanced individual training course. Regardless all military school training is considered active duty and includes reserves, guard and active duty forces. Gibb’s statement makes it sound like like AA never went to basic, but my suspicion is that her never completed basic. Based on the article quoting his friend that met him in basic, I’m assuming he must have minimally gotten there....how long he stayed...who knows. He could have not made it for many reasons. Failing tests or challenges, like physical training or even failing to qualify at the rifle range repeatedly. He may have gotten shin splints or stress fractures that impeded him from passing requirements, etc. Sometimes people are “recycled”, meaning they are restarted with a new basic classs that is behind the one they are currently in so they can repeat certain tasks to try to graduate. What it sounds like to me is he signed up with the guard, went to drill however many months while waiting to go to basic, finally went to basic and couldn’t finish for whatever reason and was ultimately discharged. He never trained in the MOS he claimed to have and anything he did at drill may have been with others already trained in that MOS. I can assure he did nothing of importance or of note while in and he hyped up his resume. Anyone with military knowledge would have caught that but maybe not others. Saying he was the military also probably kept down a lot of questions about his citizenship, etc on house applications and who know what else. He’s a scammer IMO as well as a murderer.
If I'm following what you said in this post correctly, a person can be a member of the Army National Guard for an extended period of time without ever completing basic training.

If I'm getting this wrong let everyone know. Thanks.
