This guy messed with the wrong family and got just what he deserved!
HINESVILLE, Ga. -- A robbery suspect had to be rescued by police and treated for injuries after the intended victims disarmed him, beat him with a broomstick and were about to whack him with a shovel, authorities said.
Police officers in the southeast Georgia community of Hinesville said they found the exhausted suspect, Darrel Rolle, 27, lying on the living-room floor about 11 p.m. Tuesday as Wu Ni's family held him down.
Police said Wu Ni, his wife, Rong Lin, and their two small children were returning home after he had finished his shift as a cook at a local restaurant. With them were Wu Ni's mother, his father and a cousin.
Wu Ni told officers that after finding a back door open, he entered and went to the master bedroom where Rolle stepped from behind the open door and pointed a gun.
"Where's the money?" Rolle reportedly shouted. "Give me the money!"
According to the police report:
Wu Ni said Rolle forced him to his knees. His mother then appeared and offered Rolle the cash in her purse. As Rolle reached for it, Wu Ni grabbed Rolle's arm and the two men struggled before Wu Ni got control of the gun and tossed it on the bed.
Ni's mother, father and cousin jumped on Rolle, and the combatants exited the bedroom, went down the hallway and into the living room, where Rong Lin took a metal broomstick and began to pummel Rolle.
When the broomstick bent, Rong Lin got a shovel from the backyard. As she entered the living room with shovel in hand, Liberty County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Barnes and Hinesville Police Officer Eric Sink arrived before Rolle could be struck with the shovel. (more at link)
