But I thought the prosecution revealed evidence of BB pj pants that had blood on it belonging to SL?
The details are getting lost in the bizarre telling aren't they? I hope this is all summarised for the jury. Will there be defence witnesses?

Feeling a bit lost with this week's testimony. State is trying to establish AT talked about murdering someone? Can see defense using the 'out there'-ness of all of this to show lack of credibility of witnesses and no direct link to Sydney's death.
My opinion, but more like confusion/wondering... if I'm a juror, I'm either he's guilty, let's move on or wtf is this?
Thoughts?
I had the same thought yesterday. It's really at the point of being too much. Will the jury consider all this as distracting garbage?

I'm sick of hearing about the witchcraft crap and I am really glad not to be forced as a jury member to listen to any more. I'm glad our own JenniD is taking the day off. It's worse than a poorly-written horror movie because at least a movie ends after a couple of hours....but this keeps going on and on. Enough.

The first person we heard from was Pam Shay-she works at Boarders Inn in Grand Island.

Shay said there is video surveillance of Boswell and one of the witness’ yesterday checking into the hotel on November 19th.

The witness at first paid in cash - then ended up using a card

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
Next witness: Ayla Frerichs - General Manager of La Quinta in Kearney.

She said Boswell/Trail and another witness checked into the hotel on Nov. 22nd.

They paid by credit card and requested the first floor.

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
Frerichs said she was doing inspections on the first floor and noticed the three going into their room.

5-10 minutes later, Frerichs saw them walking back out with all of their luggage.

According to their reservation, they were suppose to leave the next day, the 23rd.

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
Frerichs says she was confused to see them leave so soon.

When she asked another coworker why they had left - no one had any idea.

Prosecutors showed video of Boswell checking in at the front desk.

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
Video surveillance shows Boswell and Trail unpacking their car to check in that day.

Trail was seen walking into the hotel with a cane for disguise.

“We thought it was their dad (Trail) with his daughters (Boswell/witness).”

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
. “They brought in a lot (suitcases/luggage)” Frerichs said.

After she noticed they left on the 22nd - Frerichs checked their room.

All she found was an empty lunchables container in the trash & a cardboard package (one you would find around a scarf.)

The next witness, Chris Hamblin, says he is the Casino Manager at Ameristar in Council Bluffs.

He says he received a request from The Division of Criminal Investigation, (DCI) to see if Boswell checked in.

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
He is able to check cameras from when the people arrive to when they leave.

“We have over a 1,000 cameras - it is a tedious process.”

He says there was a lot of footage he had to go through because of how many times Boswell/Trail and one witness were found in the casino.

Jenna Liston FOX42 on Twitter
Surveillance shows Boswell checking into the casino around 5:30 PM - the weekend of Nov. 17.

About 20 minutes later we see Trail one of yesterday’s witness’ checking into the casino.

Trail brings the witness to Boswell at a slot machine - the three leave the casino.

They had to have known casinos (and hotels) are full of cameras. Were they trying to establish an alibi?

I've also suspected that video/photography was involved, and that the filming was for AT's monetary profit. It's just a hunch, of course. No facts at this point.

Responding to myself:

Or were they making sure to get the other person on camera with them? Making sure she couldn't claim she didn't know them, wasn't with them, etc?

Just seems like they were in places to purposely be on camera. Or, maybe he told them they have the power of invisibility.

Witnesses in the Sydney Loofe murder trial shared surveillance video of Aubrey Trail, Bailey Boswell and a woman they were traveling with checking in and out of hotels in the days following Sydney Loofe's death. Here's the latest from the trial:
Prosecution shows video from hotels Trail and Boswell stayed in after Loofe's death

As K.B. testified, she said she checked into the hotel under her name and with her credit card but Trail paid for it. Trail told her neither he or Boswell had credit cards. Hotel records reflected that.
...
Frerichs said they made the reservations around 10:30 a.m. and requested an early check-in at that time. Once again, they checked in under K.B.’s name using her credit card. Video shows the pair walking to their hotel room with their bags. Trail was limping and walking with a cane.

Just five to ten minutes later, the group is seen walking out of the hotel with their luggage. Trail wasn’t limping or using a cane. Frerichs said when she saw them leave she went and checked out the room to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. She said some garbage was left behind but it looked like the bed hadn’t been laid on, the toilet hadn’t been used.

Tuesday, K.B. testified that after checking into the hotel in Kearney she got a voicemail from the Lincoln Police Department. She told jurors Trail and Boswell made plans for her to kill someone in Kearney, probably a college exchange student that “wouldn’t be missed.”

K.B. said she agreed to whatever Trail and Boswell asked her to do because she was scared they’d harm her family. After getting the phone call from police K.B. told Trail and Boswell who made her turn off her phone and all three left the hotel.

K.B. said at that time she didn’t know about the Sydney Loofe case. She never called police back.

Why did LE call her? I'm lost (again).

IIRC witness had received 2 phone calls , one from Lincoln Police and another from Omaha police. The first LPD call left a voicemail for her to call back. She shared the VM with AT/BB Witness thought that LE had somehow found out about their plans to find a victim in Kearney. AT made her turn off phone and computer.
On way back heading toward Des Mounes she turned phone on to find a message from Omaha police telling her there was a missing persons alert filed on her and that her mom said her Dad was dying
Witness started crying and wanted to go home. Dropped off in council bluffs and car trade transpired

This is what I'm thinking. Could be wrong, but I think KB is the "Katie" that AT mentioned way back. IIRC, possibly in one of the YouTube videos he made, he said the police kept calling Katie and telling her something to the effect that she was with very dangerous people and to get away from them.

It's possible, IMO, that someone who knew "Katie" knew who she was with. It was big news that Sydney was missing. Maybe that person was afraid for "Katie" and called the police?

If AT was telling the truth and the police were calling "Katie" and "Katie" is KB, then AT and BB knew the connection between them and Sydney was being made by LE.

JMO, it could be that AT and BB really thought they got away with it and made plans with KB in the days after the murder and disposal, and when the police started to call "Katie", they freaked out and went on the run.

Hopefully the prosecution has part of next week to tie everything together because right now, it seems discombobulated, JMO.

KB took BB to her house to meet her mom and her cats- I believe it was morning of the 19th. They dropped AT off at Taco Bell as KB did not want her mom to meet him- so KB’s mom probably put the SL disappearance together with BB name and notified police
I do think AT and BB realized for the first time that they were suspects.
I think AT and BB were being somewhat cautious prior to that as KB had to register and use her credit card for all motel check ins.
You would think that might have raised a little red flag on her part but apparently not

I think I remember her on the missing persons facebook at the time.

I think that's right but we probably shouldn't use her first name. (just use K maybe I have changed the quoted post - you may want to change yours because of the judge's rule)

@JenniD you may want to change your post and quote too.
